I really love coming to this post office! They are so friendly and helpful. They even take passport photos here. I will drive an extra mile to do my business here.

In early February, I prepared a birthday card for my daughter in Lawton. I knew she used a PO Box, but I didn't know the number - - so I called the Post Office in Lawton. The lady who answered the phone was sympathetic, but said rules precluded her giving me my daughter's box number; although she could acknowledge that there was a number. But, she said, just send it to her, indicating Post Office Box. "We'll know, when it gets here .. . . Well, the card came back to me today (a month later)

It was formally stamped "Returned for Better Address", and "Returned to Sender". also, handwritten at the bottom of the envelope was "Wrong Box?".

My daughter is in her fifties, so not getting the card is only moderately traumatic; I'll not state for public notice, what it has done to me!!

The mailman, Adam, was speeding through our new neighborhood today and unknowingly almost hit a 2 year old.

When flagged down to be told what happened and asked to slow down in our new build neighborhood, because there are lots of little kids and new families moving in all the time, he responded very loudly and rudely that he wasn't going to slow down and it was the 2 year old's parent's fault that he almost hit a kid. The 2yo was just excited to see the mailman and his parent was in the road right after him. When driving in a neighborhood you should ALWAYS be on the lookout for kids in the road! You never know when tragedy might strike

Adam didn't see the child he almost hit, nor the adult that ran into the road after their child because he was going so fast. He stated he was following the "posted speed limit," but I find that hard to believe since our neighborhood doesn't have a posted speed limit. The nearest speed limit sign is at our crossroad, a highway, with a posted limit of 55!

He said, "Go ahead and call my manager. Nothing will happen, and I won't slow down. "

We just moved to this community and are not impressed with the belligerent mailman Adam shouting at people from his truck! I will be following up about Adam and his complete disregard for safety and his reckless endangerment of the many children and pets within our neighborhood.

Watched the driver Adam almost hit the two year old neighbor boy on Ridgeway Dr today because he was hauling at least 45-55 through the neighborhood. I flagged him down on his way back to let him know and he blamed the kids mom for not watching him. I asked him to slow down because the neighborhood has a lot of children, he said he was going posted speed limit and would not slow down.
Neighborhood has no posted limit as it is a new neighborhood, crossroad highway speed limit is 55.
He's gonna kill someone at that speed.

He swore at me and shouted, then dared me to call his manager and said nothing would be done about it anyways. He looked like he stopped to call manager to get out of it.
Couldn't reach anyone at the post office because it's Veterans Day. Gonna be in on Monday see if we can't straighten this out.

It'd be nice if the post lady would learn to shut the mail box door. Im getting sick of walking down the road to get my mail of the side of it. Pull to open push to shut.... It's not that hard.

And they found a way to make my package fit. And yes it was most definitely breakable..

Thanks
