We stopped on our drive to the Airport to stretch our legs and so glad we did! It was a nice walk/hike down to the falls, with the trail being very doable (gravel) but be careful at the end there are rocks and steep steps to navigate to actually get to the falls area, for those with mobility issues. It was a cool hike in the shade most of the way. Very refreshing and the falls were beautiful.

With waterfalls park being just off the road, it's very friendly for families with small children not accustomed to hiking. They have a small parking lot (think 6-8 cars) with a small walking bridge that leads to a few picnic tables or you can walk up the hill for additional waterfall views. Very cute and very well maintained, loved it there! Also there is a grocery store right across the street great for their bathrooms and restocking any snacks! I would warn that the field where the picnic tables are is open to the road so you'll need to keep a close eye on your younger kids.

Literally right on the roadside. Nice little picnic area across the foot bridge. Only room for maybe 5 cars. There is a trail to the left that you can take to see the next few sets of falls but be careful. It's super wet, muddy and slippery.

Perfect for a picnic spot, photo shoot, or to stretch your legs on a long drive. Very close to parking lot. There are picnic spots and charcoal grills at the base of the falls. There are 4 tiers in total, very quick easy hike to upper falls, but as with all falls wear comfortable shoes with good grip because the rocks are wet and slick and the path is steep and rocky. Very well maintained area, thanks to the volunteer firefighters 🚒

Beautiful place for a quick stop. Like other reviewers note, the falls are well within view for those who don't want to or cannot hike. But if you're feeling more adventurous, there's a path to the left of the falls that takes you upstream to see the water that feeds the falls. There's also a bridge you can cross over and hike a more difficult trail--I followed it for a bit, but it's not super maintained and I began to smell animal marking so I turned back before I reached the end, if there is a noted end. A very satisfying side trip!

We love the little falls! It's great for people with small children, or mobility issues. Because you can look at the beauty of nature from your car if you need too. Or just a few feet away they have picnic tables. It's a great little spot to swing by & chill out for a bit.

Very cute park. Nothing fancy but glad they made these a park so that others could enjoy. I took my mother who is not very mobile and she was able to go "walk to the waterfall". Great place to stretch your legs, get a little fresh air and enjoy a bagged lunch.

Beautiful little park! About as quick access to a variety of little waterfalls as you could ask for. Only the bridge at the bottom, the lower picnic table with barbecue on the grass and lowest of the fall are ADA accessible, but if you’re up for a short, steep hike, there’s more in store above. Parking for about 10 cars is available at the entrance.

Amazing hiking area. Right off the bat you are great at the parking lot with a beautiful small waterfall and there’s more that immediately follow as you begin your hike. We didn’t hike the entire area but it was nice! A little muddy in some spots but if you’re prepared with proper gear it’s no big deal. Had some fun little creeks you can cross on foot if you have some water proof boots.

Nice little spot right off the highway 194. Gravel lot for 5 to 6 cars park easily. No Bathroom on site so plan accordingly. Nice view of waterfall on a bridge visible from parking lot. Can take a trail to top. You can explore the creek above and their are a couple of trails to explore. It is a bit steep and rocks can be slippery so shoes with good tread suggested.

Absolutely wonderful spot. I was just driving to Grandfather Mountain when I spotted this on the side of the road. I turned around and decided to visit. I do not regret it, and would recommend this place. It would be great for a picnic, they even have some tables to sit at and enjoy nature.

Super cute! We had stayed in newland over the summer and I saw this place online but we didn’t visit and went to linville falls instead. However, this time, since it was much colder, we opted for a shorter walk to see a waterfall! Definitely cute and would visit again during warmer weather! Able to see the falls right from the parking lot. The path was mostly easy but icy the higher up we went and I didn’t even realize until looking at the reviews now the trail continued on. Probably not a stop I’d go out of my way to make but definitely worth it if you’re in the area!
