Working with Ruby was an absolute joy! I was planning my wedding from across the country- which made it impossible for me to taste the cake ahead of time, but Ruby does the overnight shipping - so I got to taste from afar!

I gave her full creative freedom as to how she wanted to decorate the cupcakes, and I was not disappointed. Ruby does beautiful work and her cake is amazing. Ruby also came and set up the cupcake table for me- which she did an fabulous job at arranging. They were so beautiful! I got 4 types of cupcakes for my wedding:

Earl Grey cake with lemon jam filling and lemon icing
Vanilla Cake with raspberry jam filling and raspberry icing
Choc. cake with choc. ganache filling and peanut butter icing
Coconut cake with Irish Whiskey Icing

I had no idea what combos to choose coming into Ruby's massive menu of choices for cupcake combos, but she was very helpful in choosing these delicious combinations.

My guests were raving about the cupcakes all night and only a few of them made it to see the light of the next day. I ordered 600 cupcakes for 150 people.... that is saying something.

I would recommend working with Ruby for any event you have, you will not be disappointed!

Ruby made a stunning cake and assorted desserts for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah. I can't say enough good things about working with her. The cake was one of the most gorgeous, original, and delicious I've ever seen or tasted, and the rest of the desserts were similarly amazing. We're so lucky to have someone with her talents in Lancaster.

We booked Salt & Light Pastry Co for our wedding cake and can't recommend them enough! Ruby was so helpful and responsive from the time we booked through to the end of our wedding. We had two different flavors of cake at our wedding and both were sooo delicious, we got a ton of compliments from guests about how tasty they were. There are tons of unique flavors to choose from (and they're all SO good, it was hard to narrow down what we wanted after we did our tasting), and Ruby was extremely helpful with helping my husband and I create combinations based on the flavors we told her that we liked. In terms of the appearance of the cake, she totally nailed it! That was one of the things that led me to reach out to her initially, and she totally nailed the vision we had for our cake. Don't think twice about using them!

We hired Ruby to make our wedding cake and hand held desserts for the reception. I had already tried many of her desserts from her stand at the Lititz Farmer's Market. Her macarons and sea salt chocolate chip cookies are probably the best I've ever had and now I can say the same about her cakes! She was extremely flexible and accommodating with flavor options and offered to attempt to make any flavor we could dream up. She also was willing to last minute add a velvet bow around the bottom of the cake to jive with our wintery wedding. To top it off she is super pleasant and processional to work with. Ruby made our wedding cake and it was not only beautiful, but amazingly delicious! We could not have been more pleased. We received a ton of compliments on the cake from our guests. She also carefully transported the cake from Lancaster to our wedding location in Pittsburgh. She is awesome and I highly recommend Salt & Light Pastry Co. !

I found Salt & Light Pastry Co through Instagram while trying to figure out desserts for my sisters bridal shower. Ruby was very helpful and responsive with all communication through the whole process. All I had to do was tell her color scheme/theme and what flavors I wanted and she put together the most beautiful desserts! Everyone commented on how cute and delicious they were. My sister can’t stop talking about them too! Highly recommend and we would definitely ask Ruby for future events!

I cannot recommend Salt & Pastry enough. I ordered a cake for my daughter's bridal shower and not only was it absolutely gorgeous to look at it was the most delicious cake I think we have ever ate. The guests couldn't stop raving about it! And there were not left overs! Ruby was awesome to work with! If you are in need of a cake for a special occasion, you have to try Salt & Light Pastry - you will definitely not be disappointed. We will definitely be back!

We ordered our wedding cake and some desserts from Salt & Light and we are SO glad we did! The cake was incredibly delicious and so beautiful. We had such a hard time picking flavors because all of the samples we tried were amazing. We also got sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate eclairs which were all also delicious. Ruby was great to work with - she's very responsive, friendly, and had great suggestions when planning our wedding cake. We highly recommend Salt & Light!

Saw their macarons at "Butter and Bean" in the Southern Market in Lancaster. Great selection of flavors and presentation. Raspberry rose, chocolate strawberry, lemon poppyseed, vanilla funfetti, and espresso. Delicious.

We had Salt and Light Pastry Co. do our wedding desserts and they were fantastic! Guests were extremely impressed and I was blown away with how amazing the desserts were!! Highly recommend for any pastry needs!!

The ABSOLUTE best! My wedding cake and grooms cake could not have been more beautiful or delicious. Plus all her other desserts for parties, etc. are incredible. Seriously, best decision made using Salt and Light. Ruby rocks!

Ruby made us the most awesome looking and amazing tasting cake for our wedding. We had an Early Grey cake with raspberry jam and toasted whiskey frosting and while that is a unique flavor combination we got so many compliments. I look forward to getting more delicious treats from her I the future.

Ruby was timely, professional, and personable. She first scheduled a consultation via phone and truly assisted me greatly with my indecisiveness. After establishing tastes and combinations that I like, she put together unique and five tasty cake recommendations for my family and I to try. As mentioned, she responded very timely and was so sweet and patient the entire time. Guests could not stop complimenting the cake for it's beauty and taste! Finding Ruby was the greatest thing that happened to us! Our original baker for our wedding fell through and after some google searching I found Salt & Light. Ruby provided us with an amazing tasting and we knew we had to book her immediately. Leading up to our wedding we ordered from her a couple times and stopped by the farmers market in Lititz. Everything we’ve had so far has been delicious. The Fluffernutter bars are our personal favorites and our wedding guests raved about the desserts.

I ordered Ruby's holiday bake box this year and it arrived in the mail on time and in PERFECT condition. Everything was packaged so beautifully and everything tasted amazing. It was such a special holiday treat, I ordered a second one to give as a gift to friends. Ruby's baked goods taste amazing and are truly beautiful works of art. I wish I had taken pictures, but I ate everything too fast :-) Even if you don't live in Pennsylvania, Ruby can send you macarons and cookies, and trust me, they're worth it!!!

Ruby did an incredible job with our wedding cake! She was very communicative and timely in her responses and always made sure we were on the same page with what we wanted. The cake looked and tasted incredible and I highly recommend Salt & Light for any cake or pastry you may need!

We ordered macarons as a dessert for a company luncheon. Not only was ordering through Ruby professional and efficient, she also offered delivery on the day of the event which made it a no-sweat option for us. The macarons themselves were delicious! We chose three flavors (it was hard to choose from her extensive menu), and all three were divine. The shell of the sandwich cookie was light and airy, not too crisp and not too crumbly. The filling of each macaron had a surprise - it wasn't just creme filling like you might imagine. Each flavor had a mix of something "extra" or "real" inside, like a blueberry or caramel drizzle. All together, each bite was yummy!! We will definitely consider Salt & Light Pastry Co for future dessert catering needs in the future.

Not even kidding… the best baked goods you can find in Lancaster. Her cakes feature flavors that are so exquisitely married together and make you question everything you’ve ever known about cake. The macarons, tarts, turnovers and chocolate chip cookies are also to die for. Our kids love the Rice Krispies (with extra marshmallows) and sugar cookies. Not to mention, everything is presented as work of art and makes my jaw drop with how beautifully decorated they all are. Run don’t walk to Salt & Light! It’s our family favorite spot for sweet treats.
