I Have been a Box holder at Lexington P.O. for about 50 years. I've always been treated with utmost respect and courtesy. After reading all the negative reviews, I think it's about time for an honest and positive review! The current staff and window clerks are all excellent, very helpful, and do their best under some trying situations. On occasion, I've seen customers become rude
because they don't want to pay what is required for a service.
The current staff always provides the various options for the service requested so the customer can choose what's best for them. No business can be perfect, but I think the staff in the Lexington does their best every single day! R.G.

The Lexington post office has one of those wonderful murals that were created during the Great Depression. It commemorates the start of the American Revolution at the town's Green just up the road.
The service was also very good, given how small the Depression Era facility is relative to the size of the town.

I've always had good service here. If one extends consideration, courtesy and respect, one tends to get it in return- and that is my experience here. It looks like a difficult job that requires excellent communication and teamwork. Aside from delays due to the holidays, I've had nothing but reliable, informative and helpful service here.

Friendly staff and excellent service in spite of being very busy. Also gave us a wonderful coloring book to keep the kids entertained!

Be prepared: there are some helpful people here, but also potential rudeness, but my review is about a couple important things to know before you go. First if sending regular first class packages, tape them up in advance as they will ask you to buy tape unless sending priority. This is absurd if you ask me, as almost all post offices in the world help tape up packages, since there are often lingering questions, but c'est la vie.

Also, if you are getting passport services there are different hours, and those end at 3pm, although they might be somewhat flexible as the office of open later.

I spent $60 on an international package just to have it sent back because USPS had not supplied sufficient customs information and the staff here would barely listen to me and I couldn’t even get a fraction of a refund because of THEIR mistake.
