The Spice & Tea Exchange of Richmond

I was very surprised coming in and so many different teas. They luckily had a sample jar to smell to give you a good hint of what they would be like. Super awesome, sweet, and knowledgeable staff that gave great recommendations to some newbie tea drinkers. Had us set up with the right tools and great blends to start out with. Can't wait to come back and try more and also stock up on a few out of the large variety of spices they have as well.

The Spice and Tea Exchange separates itself beautifully from the other close by spice shop and tea shop by stocking a wide variety of unique teas and spices not typically offered elsewhere.

The staff are incredibly warm, kind, and knowledgeable on all there is to offer in the shop-- which is a lot! Tea prices are also remarkable in comparison to other shops. I was recommended an iced mint basil tea which is perhaps now my favorite tea to date. A friend who accompanied me got a honey ginger iced tea that was soft and refreshing-- truly unlike anything else I've tasted before.

Though the Spice and Tea Exchange does not offer seating, it is an incredible and essential stop to make on a nice walk through Carytown and I will certainly be returning time and time again. Thank you so much for your unique tea blends and spices and for being so welcoming to first-time and repeat customers. Keep up the phenomenal work!

This is a pretty cool little store. There’s a large selection of tea and spices on display to choose from. You can smell what’s in the jars, and you can buy packets of them to take home. I picked out some Mango Tango tea to have brewed with ice, and it tasted amazing. The people that work here are super chill and friendly.

I love this store so much I’ve been going to the Williamsburg Va one for years. So glad that they opened one closer to home. I will definitely be coming here quite often. Met the owner of the other day when we were in there. She was super nice and helped me find tea’s that will help me with inflammation after my surgery.

Really high quality tea. Their banana nut muffin tastes just like you’re drinking a banana nut muffin. So good! The staff is always extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Love it here.

Just had a really lovely experience here— the folks working were super knowledgeable of the teas and spices (of which they have a PLETHORA), and they took their time helping me find the exact tea for me to drink (the Honeybee Ginger white tea, if anyone is wondering!). I took the tea to go, and it was perfectly steeped and at the perfect temperature. I definitely will be back for all my specialty spice and tea adventures

Delicious custom tea drinks. I like the multi small packs of different spices in each. Great way to sample new tastes. Spices and teas available in bulk.

So many unique blends and the mushroom mocha is my current favorite- makes a great substitute for coffee 😊

The workers are very knowledgeable about the teas and spices! The tea bar is a great way to try any of the teas in the store before committing to a huge bag. Max was so sweet and a huge help in choosing what to try as there is too many good options and I am very indecisive. I'll definitely be back to try some spices.

I love this store! They have a very wide variety, and the owner and workers are all so helpful and friendly. They also have tea by the cup so you're able to try out some of their loose teas.

Best customer service I have witnessed being in a store! It's a must visit for all who are in the area. Heather the owner, Nolan the manager, and Max the production manager are so laser focused on taking care of the customers and understanding their needs. They really know how to give an amazing experience by taking the time to ask questions about the customers interests or what they are shopping for. Plus, they have an awesome Tea Bar! Thanks team for an excellent visit!

The teas from here are so good! Best tea I’ve ever had. Recommend the roasted green tea with mint, banana nut muffin (so good and not sweet!), and the chocolate chai. They have jars you can smell the teas!

Wide selection of teas, spices, and tea paraphernalia. They also have a hot/cold tea bar for drinks. Staff are warm, helpful, and clearly love tea. You can smell anything you want and buy small or large packets of loose leaf tea. They have a wide variety of flavors - from herbal teas, chai, oolong, black tea, yerba mate and more. The store is well stocked and tidy (and smells great). If you like tea or need a gift for someone who does, you can’t go wrong here.

My new favourite place to buy tea. I live in Florida, and found this place on vacation. I will continue to purchase their products from their website even when I’m home. The most extensive tea selection I’ve every seen, and they have unique spice blends as well.

Just stopped in for the first time today! This will be my new regular tea place! Everyone in the store was incredibly amazing and helped me with allergen information and just information in general amazing first impression!

I am a Amazon driver i was having a ruff day with my route and I just happened to have a delivery at this location and I must say I'm glad I did as soon as I walked in I was amazed at how it felt like it took away some stress from all the smells so I brought a 🍵 LET JUST SAY ITS WORTH THAT $5 WILL DEFINITELY BE STOPPING EVERYTIME IM ON CARY ST THE STAFF WAS SO WELCOMING AND KNEW WHAT WAS IN EACH TEA I LOVE YOU GUYS THANKS AGAIN
