In a world where doing business in the retail market is nothing short of a massive headache, my husband and I are so grateful to have Sheps Yard so close.

Even though we have a measure twice cut once mentality it was still imperative we explained our 700 SQFT DIY patio we're now wrapping up.  They helped us make sure we used the right crushed gravel base and confirmed, reconfirmed sizes quantities etc for our flagstone delivery. They seem to have a great relationship with their suppliers and had np issues going to them with custom requests.

Expectations were set and met regarding lead time and delivery which was refreshing despite post COVID transport challenges.  Lexi at Sheps was very communicative, kept us informed of everything along the way from, quotes, invoices and delivery. Chris the owner oversaw our delivery which was unexpected but great.  Andrew who delivered our product gave us a heads up prior to delivery and even let my daughter admire their skid steer, trailer and massive truck.  I used to work in O&G with companies who ran capital equipment for a living and these guys/gals take pride in their equipment and maintain it well. Andrew strategically placed our massive flagstone order strategically to make it easier for us to unload and did his best to minimize yard wear.  We will be referring these guys to our neighbors family and friends.  If you decide to work with them I'm certain they won't disappoint.

I ordered two cords of firewood for the first time. The team at Shep's yard was friendly when scheduling the drop off. The driver had no trouble backing the dump truck down our side-road right where I stack the wood. What does a firewood nerd do immediately after unload? Whip out the moister meter of coarse! The team member on the phone wasn't kidding when she said it was fully-seasoned. This wood is already starting to grey-out and the highest moister content reading I got was 17%

I ended up building a pile of logs that needed some additional splitting. All 3 of them. After stacking, we raked up the free mulch at the bottom of the pile to dress the base of some of our trees. It was a good day thanks to Shep's yard.

After it was stacked, came the moment of truth. Is it really two full cords? Yup. Shep's yard earned my family's repeat business hopefully for years to come.

Nicest family ever! Great fresh Christmas trees w s'mores and a fire and cocoa for the kids. They really go the extra mile for customers. Had an issue where they stacked a cord of firewood for me and it fell over. I have a bad back so I pay for stacking. Lexi asked for my patience and a quick picture. 3 days later it was restacked with a nice voicemail thanking ME for my patience. Great customer service, nice family. Great to do business with. Like the old days!

They are always so friendly and the mulch is the best quality around. I had to get mulch once from a competitor because it was a Sunday and the mulch had a lot of mold. The soil is always of good quality and the stone is not loaded with dirt as it was at another landscape supply.

Ordered a cord of wood from Shep's Yard during the summer - quick delivery and dumped it where I wanted it. GREAT pieces of wood cut and split ready for my fireplace and most importantly it was dry and burned fantastic. Will be buying firewood from Shep's again as they are a GREAT local company.

A neighbor of mine suggested that I call Shep's for firewood because I've been really disappointed by other firewood retailers. So I stopped in to see their product in person, and was happy to see that the yard is clean and organized, inside and outside. You can tell that everyone takes pride in their business. I placed my full cord order with the nice lady at the desk, and it was delivered by an accommodating young man. The quality and quantity of the firewood is great. FINALLY someone who understands good seasoned firewood. All the pieces were consistent in length and thickness and I got a good mixture of small, medium and large pieces. I've stacked it, and have already had numerous nice warm fires. I'll be sure to spread the good word around my office, friends and family!

In the middle of May 2017 we ordered landscaping screening stone and sand for our patio base material. Shep's Yard was extremely efficient and accommodating to our need of having rock delivered really early in the morning. Andrew was able to get to our home right on time which was a blessing because we haven't had the best luck with other companies following through on their "guarantees" of delivery dates. The customer service was excellent and the response time on a call back about my request of changing our delivery time to a much earlier hour was wonderful. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of landscaping supplies!

Here we are one month later and we're in the process of getting more of the screening stone delivered today to create our garden pathways. Once again, the customer service was excellent and were able to get us scheduled within 24 hours! Shep's Yard is absolutely one of the best landscape suppliers we've worked with!!

Last weekend I stopped at Shep's to order river rocks for a fire pit. The staff was great! They helped me with the measurements and they were spot on for the depth/area I needed. I wasn't home when the delivery driver dropped off the rocks. He called me and we discussed options on where to drop the rocks off. Great customer service, will definitely be back!

Terrific business. I only place a few orders per year, but each time the product is high quality, and the delivery drivers are friendly and make quick work of my tough driveway. My most recent order was turned around in less than a day which was perfect (and unexpected) for my project. Highly recommend, cheers!

I thought what I had was an issue with my firewood. I contacted Shep's Yard and they immediately responded and sent over complimentary wood/stopped by to talk to me about my issue. It turns out I was in the wrong and there was nothing wrong with the wood.

Even knowing that, Shep's Yard was more than beyond fair. I didn't think businesses still operate in which customer is always right. Even though I was wrong they treated me like I was their #1 priority.

I have been on Google a long time and to date this is my first review. Companies like this are few and far between so just saying thanks does not give them justice.

They will receive all my future business.

Alexi and whole delivery crew were wonderful to work with during the entire order of our project. From trying best to meet my particular West mountain stand up colors to flexible delivery of our multi- truck Soil and mulch they performed perfectly. I’d definitely come back to them for my future garden needs as it’s also short a distance away. Two thumbs up guys!

Wood delivery was great. Nice mix of quality stuff. The driver is a genius because he placed the load exactly where I asked and didn't touch the nearby garage. Really happy, very affordable delivery. Thank you!

My rating is coming from being both a home owner and a professional in the construction industry. I've dealt with a wide variety of landscape supply stores within Chester, Montgomery, Delaware and Bucks County. I've purchased supplies ranging from two bags of mulch for my home to several dozen sapplings and top soil to boot, for an engineer punch list for development dedication.

On a whim I went to Shep's Yard for a small live Christmas tree. I was greeted by the warmest most genuinely kind people I've ever met. Before I knew it they had me checked out, tree in the truck and I found myself not wanting to leave the yard! Since way back then, I've never used anyone but Shep's Yard. Chris and Daelyn have provided exceptional service and their staff couldn't be more professional. They have given consistently superb customer service that matches their high standards for quality in their products. I have trusted them for years to supply and perform services they have set the standards for. I have yet to hear a single regret from the very many people I have highly recommended them to. My only regret with Sheps Yard is that I didn't find them earlier. No need to go elsewhere !

It has been several years since I first made my review for Shep's Yard and it's time to update it accordingly.
I have given my patronage to this company more times than I can count and they have yet to disappoint me. I've been there dog tired after work with an attitude like a defeated boxer and they still treated me like customer of the year. I've been waiting for their quality of product, service and or efficiency to fail over the test of time. They continue to refuse to submit to careless service, cheap methods or faster and fake replacements. The charming staff I experienced on day 1 many years ago are the same folks who have you smiling, out the door, truck packed and off you go, today. To those folks who actually have knowledge regarding firewood, you would know the buck stops here. You don't get firewood like theirs anywhere else. Enough said.
My hats off to Shep's Yard today, as it was a decade ago. Repeating myself from years back - No need to go anywhere else folks! Shep's Yard customer for life!

Great service from beginning to end; friendly, polite and professional. I had topsoil delivered. I stopped by in person to coordinate my order and we set up plan A and plan B on where to drop the topsoil. Of course I expected when the driver came that he would just pick the easier drop spot. What a surprise when I saw not only did he drop it in my preferred spot, but he also took the time to fold up the tarp that was all set up for plan B. It seems like such a small thing, but today it is unusual to get that extra effort from companies. Will definitely make Shep's my place for landscaping needs. Thanks keep up the great work!

We get our Christmas tree from here every year. They always have a wonderful selection of trees from the Penn State area. We also get a load fire wood every year and the delivery is always on time. We love the people at Sheps yard and their quality products. We will continue to come back year after year

Priced out yardage of screened soil and Sheps Yard was the cheapest I found. I love that they advertise the price clearly on their site. Delivery was easy, well done and they called ahead as promised. Highly recommend.

First class! Ordered 2B stone and fines for a renovation project. Prompt and efficient. They delivered the material exactly where we needed it to the inch---and no gravel in the grass. Fines are super quality. No more dealing with large stone plants who do not want to sell to homeowners, just call Shep's Yard and get treated right!
