FreshFin Third Ward Milwaukee

I just learned about this place a couple of weeks ago and I have gone back 3 times. In some restaurants you hit a good day and sometimes not...well I haven't had anything but a delicious feast at FreshFin Poke! Build your own bowl or get their specialty bowls, it makes no difference...they all have been great! The place is very popular so I suggest on Friday to get there early!

I’m not a very big sushi fan but this restaurant has a pretty good variety and hits all the taste buds, I enjoyed the spice my meal had. Nice and clean and friendly staff.

If you love poke bowls or have never tried poke bowls, this is the spot. The food here will make you dance.

If I could eat this every day, three times a day, I would eat this every day, eight times a day. A good life. I am writing this before I have eaten this bowl and all I can think as I am writing is the way bowls from Third Ward make me feel before (good) and during (good) and after (good) I eat them, the way the bowl was handed to me... how simpatico we are. Fifteen stars out of five.

I always enjoy stopping in to grab a healthy, tasty meal! The manager Bobby is awesome, always so so friendly and greets customers with a smile. Appreciate that.

My favorite place for some quick, tasty and healthy food! I get the coconut curry with chicken every time. The siracha (sp) aoli is my 2nd fav.

Really enjoyed this fresh nutritious food. I.did the make your own vegan bowl. And try the Side of power kale

The food was outstanding, as was the service. I and a friend each had a poke bowl. The flavors were intense but very pleasing; they woke up my mouth. I had Mango Tango Signature Bowl because I'm a salmon lover, but it was salmon a whole new way. The bowl tasted as good as it looked and it looked very inviting with the crisp and orderly presentation in a crystal clear bowl. The presentation made me want to start eating and when I did I was well rewarded. The service was very prompt, courteous and efficient. One could easily fit a visit to FreshFin into even a short lunch hour. And there was a friendly upbeat vibe that made the visit a pleasant break. Definitely the place to go for both the food and the atmosphere.

I love FreshFin. This was my first visit to the Third Ward location, and the consistency of excellence transcends. The service is friendly and prompt, the atmosphere is cute and clean, and the food is fresh and delicious. FreshFin remains my favorite poke place in Milwaukee.

I stopped in over lunch for a pick-up ordered through the Ritual app, which was super convenient – out the door in just a couple of minutes! I went with the Spicy Tuna Bowl, which is excellent – the tuna is fresh and plentiful, the veggies are crisp, and the sauce is to die for. The flavors are spot-on, and the toppings are a perfect balance to the rice. The portions are good for the price. There are plenty of menu options and customizations that can be made as well, always a perk.

I can’t say enough good things about FreshFin! Looking forward to returning – I would eat here for lunch every day if I could.

After a recent trip to Hawaii, my wife and I had a craving for poke. Freshfin did not disappoint!

Food: 12-14$ a bowl, but you do get a decent amount of food. We did not leave hungry. We both got the spicy tuna bowl, and the fish tasted fresh and the sauces we flavorful. Great value for a quick and healthy meal.

Atmosphere: Location was fine. Hard to find, as they don’t really have a sign out or anything. Inside of the location is a shared space, but had a decent enough amount of room. No real decoration.

Service: The checkout girl was nice, and mostly knowledgeable with the exception of not knowing about the mix greens they used. That said, overall very pleasant place.

My score: 8/10. Poke is a bit of a different taste than one might think for fast food, however this surely is a welcome change from the burger/sandwich. We will definitely be back this summer. Also, I want to go back and try their Acai bowl.

The food here is great! The menu bowls are good, but I always love to build my own bowl! There are a huge variance of options for base, protein, vegetables, and toppings! There is often a wait, but the service is quick and it’s well worth it!

We are visiting from another state and decided to try poke for lunch. Savannah was very welcoming and explained the menu well. She helped guide us to the best options for our tastes. We really enjoyed the meal and talking with her today. We'll definitely be back the next time we are in Milwaukee.

Delicious food, and amazing staff.

the only downsides are things that they have no control over so I'm not letting it affect the rating. Parking is a pain in the arse oh, but when you're down in third Ward you should be expecting that.

The staff there however knows their dishes and can make solid recommendations. A smiling face that greets me is always a welcome sight when I go visit there.

I am embarrassed by how much I come here, but it’s really that good.

First, this is a smaller space, and on weekday lunches it tends to get very busy, so I would recommend take out. They have a variety of rice seasonings at the condiment bar and a cold case with sparkling waters for purchase at the front.

I almost always get the zen bowl or the cilantro chicken (with the base as 50/50 white rice and spring greens which I highly recommend); I’m particular about my food and, as a former food service worker, sometimes I make requests for my food that make me cringe. The staff never bats an eye. They are always bubbly even when you have six grumpy 9-5ers in line waiting on their food.

It’s fast, too! I can’t ever remember waiting longer than five minutes for my food.

Even better bonus; I e-mailed the company to ask about nutritional information for their bowls and the founder answered and made some recommendations for me based on my questions. Like what? If that’s not service I’m not sure what is.

Always friendly staff and fresh food. Plus they have all of the side amenities needed for a quick bite. Plus they donate a bowl to those in need for every free bowl earned with your points (so loyalty provides charity on your behalf).

I've never had Poke, so I don't have baseline for taste. With that being said, I loved it. Nice portion. Very flavorful. Lunch rush is busy, but they get the job done.

Always fresh and friendly. Never tried poké before Fresh Fin, but now I am a huge fan! Super flavorful and decently priced for the quality you receive. BYOB (build your own bowl) offers countless combinations to create whatever you are in the mood for. Super healthy and vegetarian friendly. This is the satellite location so it's smaller and in a shared space building, so not a lot of seating. Convenient for the third ward especially if you pre-order through their website for pick-up. Would absolutely recommend!

Best poké I've ever had, and I've had it on both coasts, too! Mango Tango is the absolute best. So delicious and the staff are sooooo friendly. I've seen lunch rush go out the door so get there early! They also have a loyalty program which is an added bonus.

Definitely the best poke place in Milwaukee not only for the quantity, quality and flavor of the food, but also the cleanliness of the restaurant, the speed of service, and the friendliness of the staff.I have been a fan of FreshFin Poke but I go to the one in third ward more often now because of its location. Still want to show some support to this original location and it deserves the support for sure!
