My friends got breakfast plate and bagels, they love their food too. You can also customize it a little, request light butter or/and oil. The price is also reasonable. Would love to come back again.

I feel guilty for reviewing this gem so late. The cashier that runs the counter and doubles up as the cook is great and the kaiser rolls are amazing. I could have breakfast here everyday.

I've lived in Downtown Jersey City for 10yrs, and have seen Chris reinvent this place a couple of times. Now as a father - son team with a perfectly short menu of breakfast items, sandwiches, coffee and juice/smoothies, Chris continues to bring that eclectic neighborhood feel that fits perfectly with the DTJC vibe. Stopping by for one of his scrumptious egg sandwiches (I prefer sausage egg & cheese) and seeing their familiar, friendly faces is a great way to start the day. Keep Legal Grounds above ground! ✌

It’s a cute little joint. The entire place has a very neighbourhood feel to it. Good food and good vibes. This may just become my go to place for weekend breakfast walks !

What a great way to start my morning. I stumbled upon the place, walked it to the most welcoming father & son team and had the best dang bacon, egg & cheese sandwich with coffee. You can tell it's a local favorite by all the costomers. It's my new go to place!

I stopped here for breakfast on my last visit to the area, and I liked it so much I made sure to come back this time! Delicious food and coffee, a delightful owner, and located in a sweet neighborhood. While I was eating there today, several other customers came in, all clearly regulars with a love for this place. If I lived in the area, I would be one of them too!

I rarely rate anyone that High but these guys deserve it. They are very friendly and the breakfast food is delicious. They serve coffee from different regions so you can try and find a fix that works for you. The owner is also a down-to-earth genuine guy who spends time to talk to his customers. It gets crowded on weekend mornings for breakfast but they are very quick. Note this is more of a take out place than dine in.

I'd been searching for a home away from home while visiting family and i finally found it. What a great spot!!! Nice outdoor area out back as well!

I love this place! I’ve always had great service and the food is good. You can call in orders which is very convenient. They also serve Wonder Bagels so you can skip that line and come here. This is our go-to breakfast spot!

Nestled in a cute neighborhood, is an equally cute cafe. They offer a decent variety of tea and coffee, as well as a plethora of delicious sandwiches. I tried the Tiger Spice Chai tea iced with soy milk and it was amazing!

They have seating in the front window and an outdoor seating area. And to top it all off, free wifi! This place is definitely going in my favorites.

I've been coming here for years now, and it's a great place to go with friends. Employees are really nice and even the owner is a very cool guy. The food is pretty good, but I don't drink coffee, so I can't say much about it.

Great coffee and breakfast options. I always go for an iced coffee and breakfast sandwich. My daughter gets their croissants and always asks for a second. Nice relaxed environment and free WiFi

House-roasted fresh coffee beans. Fair prices, very good service, even when inundated with Prep kids. Coffee origins are varied and generally excellent - I fell in love with Monsooned Malabar thanks to this place.

Very friendly service, I ordered a hot cocoa and the girl behind the counter asked if it was for my daughter bc then she'd make it less hot which was awesome. Lovely cute spot for breakfast sandwiches and the like
