What A Dish Cafe has to be one of our favorite places to go in Dana Point. The service is amazing, everyone is super friendly and the food is amazing! We first tried their food at a wedding that was catered by them and had to try their cafe when we found out they had a brick and mortar place they served their food. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the truffle macaroni and cheese is on another level! Their pastries are delicious as well, our go to is either the eclairs or petit fours(or both sometimes haha). Don’t get me started in their happy hour, which includes bottles. All in all, this is a great place that more people need to know about!

Always 10/10 at What a Dish. Best breakfast/brunch spot in the area, hands down! Fresh, delicious food and a great atmosphere make it an excellent spot to dine with friends, family, or even in a casual date.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We ordered crab cakes and shrimp tacos, and both were delicious and fresh. They had the most delicious sweet potato fries.

fantastic little cafe set off the beaten path between the Marriott and Dana Point Marina. The food was healthy and filling and the service friendly and quick. Couldn’t have asked for a better breakfast and quiet patio above the seaside.

Stopped by for lunch on our way out of town. Such a cute place. Food was delicious and prices were great. My husband had the crab cakes while I had a cup of soup (chicken sausage and veggies) and a caesar salad. Portions were good. Staff was nice. Desserts looked amazing, but we didn't try any.

Had the chilaquiles and they were so delicious and fresh. Not overwhelmed by sauce just right. Order in advance at the counter and they give you a number to place on your table. Service comes quickly, they serve breakfast and lunch. Great coffee options and some lovely looking pastries and cakes in their bakery counter.

First time at this hidden Cafe. The outdoor seating was pleasant. The staff was super friendly! I brought my dog with me for brunch and the staff offered to bring out a dog bowl with water. The menu has 3 items for dogs as well. Pictured in my post is the puppy cake.

The food was delicious. I got the breakfast burrito and clam chowder soup. The presentation was perfect. I'll definitely be coming back.

Had a lovely lunch here today after whale watching with Ocean Institute. Our server Jerred was polite, friendly and knowledgable about the gluten and non dairy options in the menu. We made several changes to our menu items and each time he accommodated us cheerfully, without ever making us feel we were a burden in any way. We sat outside under a lovely heater that he set up for us. The sandwiches were lovely. As were the gluten free cakes. The only item I didn't care for was the lemonade which I thought was too sweet. Otherwise we had a wonderful meal in a calm and pleasant ambiance. Would definitely visit again.

Great place to stop and get some breakfast. I tried the French toast and it was absolutely delicious. The truffle fries are some of the best fries I've ever had as they were super crispy and tasted very very fresh.

Absolutely love this place! Total hidden gem. The food is amazing and we just recently found out they do dinner too. Love the outside seating vibe! Super kid and dog friendly. We had dinner there a few months ago and everything was so good! The strawberry salad was insane and all the pasta dishes were really really good! We just recently celebrated our one year olds birthday and normally we do a Whole Foods cake but this year we ordered from What a Dish - the cake was beautiful and was delivered quickly and so tasty - everyone loved it! We'll be doing our birthday cakes here from now on for sure!

Delicious breakfast and excellent service! We had the chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, and breakfast bowl, followed by a delicious brownie. Everything was phenomenal! The staff was extremely attentive and worked together as a team. The outdoor atmosphere was cozy and we love that it is dog friendly! We will definitely be back soon!

The food and staff are incredible. Originally it was my sweet tooth that brought me in as a customer because of their incredible Cupcakes! I've tried their Breakfast items and Lunch as well and have come to the conclusion that this place is a true Gem of the Dana Point area.

What a Dish is a hidden Gem in Dana Point! Close to the Marina, plenty of parking all around. Easy access by mains streets. The only spot in the shopping complex that offers authentic Patio Dinning! Plenty of Heaters available.

Food is Delicious. What a dish is a great restaurant with an amazing bakery.

The food is really delicious!! Pancakes are so good. I did a BYOO (omelette) and it was super good. Try this place. It’s worth it and you’ll be back. Also the pretzel bread is very good!

Now open for dinner too! Such a great menu, good prices, and the most delicious food. Friendly service. I highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

The food was excellent, and all of the plates that came out of the kitchen looked good. I really don’t think you can go wrong with anything in the menu. They even have pastries that looked appetizing!

We went for lunch and had the ribeye sliders with sweet potato fries and a Noshiche salad; both were absolutely delicious.

So happy we stopped by to try this place. Great service! Wonderful food!
