Vittles Cafe

We were pleased to hear that Vittles is considering extended hours during the Shakespeare Festival season! However, those visitors might miss out on the excellent breakfast offerings, like the all-meat omelette my spouse ordered for lunch today. I tried something new today, too: a savory and satisfying bowl of their house-recipe chili. This turns out to be the owner's recipe, and I was excited to learn that it is made with jalapeño chilis, not green pepper, and is not cooked with onions (although you can add onions.) Score another star for Vittles!

We never go anywhere else in town. This is a place where you get to say hello to your neighbors. Locally owned and operated by a Cedar City Heritage family. They truly understand that their customers are their friends and neighbors and treat you accordingly. The food is beyond delicious and the portions are so large I usually take home 1/2 for a second meal.

Food is absolutely amazing probably the best I have had in cedar city! We had Jamie to take care of us and she did an amazing job! The food was hot and delicious and came out crazy fast! Absolutely reccomend

I absolutely love this place. The service is amazing and the food is great! I have recommended this place to so many people. I had a stuffed waffle the first time I went and it was heavenly. Unfortunately it was a special so I can’t get it every day but highly recommend the French toast!

The food at Vittles is AMAZING. Fresh made, delicious, and definitely has some butter/grease, but not overly done. Just enough to be delicious (maybe slightly unhealthy), but not heavy. You can really taste and appreciate the fresh ingredients and "made to order" food.

It is a small mom/pop place, so the service is very slow. Waited an hour for a table and food, so don't go when you're in a hurry.

Great place for a calm, easy going breakfast or brunch with excellent food. Well worth the wait. (Closes at 2pm and on Sundays).

I got the deluxe omelet, and I usually am not a fan of omelets, but this was delicious. Our party also got the ham/cheese omelet, and the breakfast skillet and every person was very impressed with the quality (and quantity) of the food.

This place is a perfect "small town cafe" with oversized pancakes and biscuits! Countertop dining room with down-home service! The food was amazing and we will definitely be back when in town again!!!

I have been to this establishment over 20 times since it opened. Never had a breakfast so good and the place is amazing as far as cleanliness is concerned. (Unlike the prior owner). If you want pictures of how the prior owner was serving you food I will gladly supply them. This is nothing more than a personal attack of the new owner and whoever she has influenced to write bad reviews. You all should also know that the previous owner and her boyfriend, (then the main cook) are both facing 2nd degree felony charges for criminal mischief for damage they did to the place before they left.

Fantastic food. Clean,fast friendly service Eggs benedict and French toast is spot on !

Great breakfast and lunch diner with your expected favorites. There's also a great selection of pies of the day for dessert. Drop in between 12:30 and 2 (close) and you'll have the place mostly to yourself.

Best non-homemade breakfast I’ve had in a long time. I see other reviews about the food being subpar and highly disagree. The cowboy is awesome. Get it and it’ll make you awesome too.

This morning, we were driving through Cedar City and came upon this great restaurant.
My husband had corned beef hash and I had the breakfast sandwich. Both meals were plentiful and delicious .
The waitress was very attentive and friendly . She provided us with chilled creamers from the refrigerator vs having room temperature creamers on the table.
I would recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food, and amazing waitresses. They met our needs my coffee was full I didn't even have to ask for top off. Pancakes were huge. The eggs Benedict was good. Also the biscuits and gravy!

Corn beefhash, breakfast eggs, shredded potatoes, rye toast and some hot spices and coffee. Mmmm good! Everytime I come to Cedar!

Chicken fried steak was one of the best breakfast meals I’ve ever had! Gravy was homemade and delicious. Staff was very friendly and made my traveling experience in Cedar City that much better! Thank you! I will surely visit again in the future.

Love this place! So happy we found this restaurant for breakfast. My husband and I were burnt on eating at the chain restaurants. I love the bacon avocado omelet for breakfast. Highly recommend it! Friendly, fast service.

Just had the pancake special and the pancakes were the best I've ever had. Light and fluffy and cooked to perfection. The staff is super friendly. The new owner has done an excellent job of remodeling and everything is SO CLEAN. It's hard to believe that this is the same restaurant.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is excellent and every employee is GENUINELY sweet and welcoming. I cannot believe how immaculate this restaurant is, from the kitchen to the dining room, as well as the restrooms. This is our new favorite place to eat. Awesome job Vittles Cafe.
