The food literally made me happy after I was done, and that's rare. Waiter was friendly and quick as well. All around 10x better then their other store. 10/10 highly recommend the molcajete🫠

We got a little table in the back that was secluded and felt really intimate and relaxing while we ate. Love this place!

A family favorite, walking in you just feel welcomed and there is a happy vibe. Excellent food and drinks, pricing and selection is perfect for everyone to find something.
When asked to sing for someone's birthday they place a sombrero atop their head! Just an enjoyable experience every time, for everyone.

A nice Mexican restaurant hidden in plan site. The menu has been developed for the local palette but still maintains authentic flavors. I really enjoyed the chorizo tacos.

Haven't been here in about a year, but as always the food was excellent. And I love what they had done to the place.

Decided to drive into the mountains from Knoxville way, got a little lost leaving, ended up in Greeneville at Monterrey. This place is amazing. Better than any place in Knoxville without a doubt. Everything was delicious, and it's cheap compared to the place I typically go back home. Got so much food for only like $12. Only complaint was the waitress only came around to drop off my food, so my drink was empty the whole time I was here. Other than that, 10/10 restaurant. Upset it's so far from home or I'd eat here frequently.

Great food and great service. They were busy but good came out hot and fast.

I had a the Number 3 combo, which was quite good.
Unusual for a Mexican restaurant, some of the combo entrees exclude rice and beans.

The salsa bar at the back of the restaurant was a nice plus.

Prices were very reasonable.

We love this restaurant. We've been loyal customers to Monterrey's for many years. We always go to this location. The other one is in the Greeneville Commons, and we don't like that one. Mainly because it's on a popular cruising strip for teenagers. It's annoying when you're sitting there with your family, trying to enjoy a nice meal, and then you hear loud music bumping and rattling the restaurant windows. Plus, they don't give you the same generous portions as this Monterrey's does. You get more bang for your buck at this location. Service is way better at this one, too.

Eat lunch here frequently. Fast, friendly service and great food!
