The Lunch-Bucket Block Island

While visiting Block Island we ate here several times. The owner is great and the food delicious. We highly recommend! The view from the tables amazing!

Perfect fit for Block Island. The best bacon egg and cheese in all the land, sandwiches of all sorts ( I just stuck with the BEC but they all looked good), excellent hash browns, smoothies, refreshers, games, outdoor seating, water bowls for dogs. And Lunch buckets for your lunch!

While on vacation in Block Island we stopped at the Lunch Bucket for a refreshing drink! We were so happy we did so! We had 2 of their Refreshers drinks and they were delicious! As we were paying another customer was leaving and we overheard them say that their breakfast sandwiches were the best in town. Perfect location and perfect view! Worth a stop when you get off the ferry!

Got a smash burger and an impossible burger. Hung out while they were made fresh & played some uno in the outdoor, dog friendly outdoor seating area (the only seating area). Inside had a counter with a few chairs, but it was not air conditioned or anything and the line to order made it cramped to sit there. The food was good and reasonably priced for the area! We came back a second time. Several vegan/veg options which is always nice to see in a fast food place. Lots of bike parking and some car parking. You can see the ferry from here.

2 glizzy for less than 15$, and a great view of a pod of Whales past the harbor while I ate. Definitely a great place to visit!

First time on the island. I had 3 layer grilled cheese with bacon, it was the best grilled cheese I ever had. John immediately bought out fresh water and toys for our puppy, great services & great good. Highly recommended.

We arrived on the early Ferry and, after waking around the old harbor part of town for over an hour, we became really hungry.

As we walked down the street we heard REM and saw an open door. The place smelled great and we were greeted by a friendly guy setting up the menus.

We each had a gluten free cheese and egg and bacon sandwich, fantastically cooked and served with a complementary small fresh-squeezed OJ. Amazing bacon! We ate looking out to a beautiful winter Atlantic Ocean view, playing board games.

I will definitely go back next time I’m on Block Island.

We both had wheat wraps and made our own - spicy mayo is delicious. Good amounts of meat/ cheese/ add ins. Delicious - great place to hang out while waiting for ours - music piped in, bubble machine, games at tables. Friendly owners and staff

Stopped on a whim while on BI exploring Old Harbor. Beautiful little spot with umbrellaed outdoor tables and a perfect view overlooking the harbor with all its activity. They welcome dogs and offer abundant board and other games on the tables. Menu is primarily all day breakfast and light lunch sandwiches and fresh organic fruit smoothies. I got the Perfect Peach Smoothie which true to its name was perfectly delicious. My companion chose the breakfast burrito and commented that it was the best she’d had. John, the owner, was friendly and welcoming. Great spot worth a stop.

We really enjoyed our first trip here! I’ve been looking for the best breakfast on Block and I think the lunch bucket takes the cake! We had a breakfast burrito and the hangry man and they were both delicious and flavorful! The menu has something for everyone and is the first place to have a heartier breakfast sandwich option. It is a perfect place to take the family, or like us a perfect place to cure a hangover. Their refreshers are also delicious and a great addition to breakfast. We will be back!

Wow, Such a great addition to the Block island!!! I loved the originality of the menu and especially the personalized dog menu! The owner Johnny is so welcoming and friendly. Can’t wait to return. I Highly recommend it!

Awesome new food spot in BI. Kid and dog friendly. There were games for the kids at the picnic tables and water and toys for dogs. Food was outstanding. We had the fried chicken sandwich and shaved steak sandwich. Highly recommend both. The owner was extremely friendly and you can tell how much he cares about the business. Definitely give this place a shot for breakfast or lunch.

Great new business. Has breakfast available all day, seemingly the only place on the island to serve breakfast past noon. Great vibe. Love the games available to play. Had the breakfast burrito and thought it was fantastic. It’s a great spot that meets a need.

If you’re a burger or chicken sandwich lover you will not be disappointed! The lunch bucket has fresh produce! Great quality meat- it’s not the processed things that come out a tube or prepackaged!

Service is always so kind & welcoming! Getting off the boat at lunch time and not taking a walk to the lunch bucket would be disappointing :(

The food was fantastic and we had 2 toddlers with us so the games were a great distraction for them and they enjoyed themselves! Price is definitely reasonable and service was great! Had the smash burger and spicy chicken 😋

Def check out this new restaurant! Great casual spot with outdoor seating and nice views walking distance from the ferry. John thought of everything when he opened up. There is a menu for humans AND dogs, ALLERGY SAFE (huge for us as our child has nuts and sesame allergies), and vegan friendly. There are all sorts of lawn games, board games, kid’s activities (coloring, bubbles etc), and old school Nintendo and NES systems. The food is great! We had the burger sliders, chicken sliders, chicken sandwich and fries. The sandwiches were super juicy and cooked perfectly. The fresh made juices are delicious as well. Worth trying for breakfast or lunch. Also, added perk is there is online ordering and delivery.

I have been to Block Island a few times and decided to try this new restaurant for a quick lunch. It a great place with outdoor seating and walkable distance to the ferry. While enjoying the food and views you also have options to play a lot of board games(Jenga, Four in a row, etc.) and lawn games. We tried the Hot Shot Chicken Sandwich and its so fresh and tasty! Also John was very welcoming and treated us with complimentary hand cut potato fries. Must try restaurant on the island!

Super friendly, gave our dog a fresh bowl of ice water when we came in. Cute, comfortable, and a great view of the docks. Perfect place to have a STELLAR sandwich waiting for the ferry.

Great Island spot for a great lunch, with great views and wonderful atmosphere. The burgers are big and juicy! They are also dog friendly.

Ever since I had heard of the lunch bucket I had been dying to make a trip to the island to give it a try! Food and atmosphere was amazing I had a quad cheeseburger with the hand cut fries, it went great with some fresh squeezed oj. I wish I took pictures but the food was gone before I even had a chance to think of a picture, highly recommend and will definitely be going for lunch next time I visit block island!
