Great little place to eat within walking distance of rock-'n'-roll pinball.

The service was great and there was no wait. I chose to sit at the bat and enjoy their ice tea while I ordered my burger. Absolutely fantastic burger and the fries were great as well.

There are multiple stories to this place with seating located at the different levels.

Very chill and laid back atmosphere and welcoming to all. Great place to eat if you are in the area.

Cool vibe and great food! This was my first time here based off a recommendation and I’m glad I brought my family here! We had the poutine fries, pork tacos, chicken nuggets and French dip roast beef sandwich. Everything was delicious and made in house. My son devoured the chicken nuggets and he’s very picky. The au jus was perfect. The poutine fries were really good but I’d like to have more cheese curds next time. The pork tacos were good as well, just not as tender as I expected. Overall great meal! The customer service was top notch and the prices are affordable! If you’re in Opelika Alabama, show them some support. You won’t regret it!

My favorite restaurant in the area! Exquisite cuisine and tasty alcoholic beverages. It's a little pricey, but i enjoy quality over quality!

The food at Zazu is absolutely sensational. From the exceptional service from the moment I walked in, to the wine suggestions to go with my courses, to the final desert cocktail to end the night, this is the place to be! The food is absolutely to die for!

Wonderful experience. When I arrived I was the only customer but I was happy to see others arriving shortly after me. I tried to have a bit of everything & even got a sandwich to go for a friend that drove in I wasn’t expecting. They seemed to really appreciate it & I was happy I didn’t have to fix anything but happier to them of course. I’m glad I chose the pecan apple salad add salmon because it felt like summer outside today. Nice selection on tap & desert was perfect. Staff was great, somewhat hands off, yet available when wanted/needed. Look forward to bringing guests next time.

Top 3 restaurants in Opelika. Wonderful atmosphere; friendly and helpful staff. Great food presentation & taste. The catfish poboy is my favorite with their duck fat fries.

This was a phenomenal experience. My best friend and I dined in Saturday night at this majestic place, which was an old depot building converted into a gorgeous three story restaurant that really provided so much ambiance and set the tone for what ended up being an amazing dinner. Our host Will may have been the highlight of the night. Extremely kind, engaging, knowledgeable of the menu, and definitely took pride in representing Zazu, which I thought was so impressive. They have a superstar there in that young man. The only thing better than Will was the food itself…the hushpuppy appetizers were phenomenal in flavor and texture, and the jambalaya was HEAVEN ON A PLATE. I normally would never spend $25-30 on a single entree, but I tell you what, I did and I’d do it again and again AND AGAIN, it was THAT good. Tender chunks of chicken, succulent jumbo shrimp, okra that you can see, and it had the entire taste of actual jambalaya without being overly saucy, which is quite hard to pull off, and I got all the spice I wanted and then some!!! Overall, this was a five star experience and I look forward to returning here the next time I’m in Opelika.

Very good! Full bar with top shelf liquor. The grilled Mahi is excellent and the best creamy potato soup I've ever had. We went on a random Wednesday evening and didn't need a reservation but they highly recommend reservations for the weekends.

Wonderful brunch on the outdoor patio. the fried chicken sandwich was great. our server, sipsey, was super helpful and sweet. def recommend for a cute date spot!

I am always impressed with this place. Whether I am in the mood for brunch, drinks, or dinner. The atmosphere is always so welcoming and the servers give great insight on the food and drinks. I always recommend this place to friends that live out of town. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries for dinner one night with sweet corn hush puppies. For brunch, my friend had the shrimp and grits and I had ordered the two egg breakfast with mimosas. My go-to drink is always an old fashioned.

Man, these duck fat fries were really good. Fresh food all around. You could tell everything was homade down to the pickles.
Good variety of beer on tap as well. 5.0 for sure as the staff was on it.

Excellent. A definite must try. Just stumble upon this place but everything about this quaint little place was top notch. Loved the atmosphere and the food was very good.

Our food was so, so, sooooo yummy. Duck fat fries are my new obsession. We went at an odd time, 3pm, and the place was almost empty. Our server was great with recommendations and service. My burger was better than the one my husband got the next day at Acre. My husband inhaled his catfish po’boy too fast for me to have a bite…he reports it was scrumptious. I could totally see myself driving 2hr for more fries.

My wife and I have been here twice so far. We will be going again and again. Thus far the food has been outstanding.

I have never been a fan of Bread Pudding but I over heard our server Kevin talking it up to another table and figured why not.

For lunch I ordered a caesar salad with chicken, cheeseburger with bacon, and a french dip...all 3 items were excellent. The short rib french dip and burger were some of the best food that I've had in the Auburn/Opelika area. Would def recommend to anyone looking for classic food. Also the restaurant is located in a pretty cool historic building so next time we plan on eating inside.

Poutine and hush puppies were our appetizers to start the night. Both were excellent, and best shared with everyone at your table. I had the Gambler burger. It was to die for. The pickled green tomato was a new taste. My wife had the blackened mahi. All I can say is she took the first bite, said it was great. I looked over a few minutes later and her plate was clean. At this point we were stuffed, but had to try a dessert. Our choice to share was s'mores chocolate mousse. It was great. We suggest digging to the bottom and getting a little from all the layers in each bite. I also tried a friend's bread pudding with burnt caramel sauce. It was fantastic. I will get that next time, as long as no one wants to share.

Took out of town guests here and we were not disappointed. They were impressed by the historic building and food. My salmon was perfect! My guests’ steak was undercooked, but our waiter had it redone quickly.

We will be back!!
