Zen Steak & Sushi Bar

Great service from door to table. The hibachi experience was very fun and the cook involved both of our children which made them very happy.

They have brought back my favorite, Tonkotsu Ramen! See my picture that accompanies this review. This is a delicious dish!
I had himachi sashimi as well which was very good. The wasabi appears to be authentic and full of spicy kick.
The fried rice is prepared with a peppery taste which is different but very tasty.

All of the hibachi foods that were cooked for the others at our table looked delicious and were prepared with care.

Give this place a shot. It was a great experience.

Food was great service was excellent and my daughter was pleased with the dinner she chose for her birthday!
Price wise I was worried after reading reviews but it honestly is about the same as all the others in the area. Our meal was $111 tonight at other restaurants that are similar locally we spend $100 to $115. Food quality is great and the habitch task better then others. We will definitely be back. If your on the fence about trying this place just bite the bullet and do it, you will be glad you did.

For our first time trying Zen, I’ll give it a 5 star review.

We came here for date night tonight on a Wednesday night and it was perfectly not crowded. The host greeted us quickly, sat us, and we got our drink orders pretty immediately

I ordered an eel roll because when I asked the waiter about the raw sushi rolls that are wrapped in radish/cucumber rather than rice and seaweed he said it was only a special roll? Whatever that means

I also ordered shrimp hibachi dinner while my husband ordered the NY strip dinner.

We decided to dine in rather than sit around the hibachi area

The restaurant was beautiful inside, high ceilings, clean, and modern with bar seating and sushi bar seating

When I got the eel roll, the first thing I noticed was how there was barely any eel in there compared to other sushi restaurants I’ve been to (which has been all over the states). But it did taste pretty fresh so next time I’ll dine in just for sushi and will update my review

The hibachi dinner was great. It wasn’t super salty like other hibachi restaurants.

I felt like my husband’s steak was a bit over cooked but he enjoyed his meal

Besides the skimping out on eel, the only problem I had was waiting longer than usual for our hibachi dinner to come out. I was expecting our food to be nice and hot but it was actually partially cold like it was sitting in the back for a bit

We were starving so at this point we were scarfing our food down.

I will be back for more sushi and to try their noodle dish!

Fantastic sushi, good pricing and a clean, beautiful restaurant! The chef knew how to make good food and was very friendly, even made suggestions based on my tastes! Even though they were busy with online orders all night my food was timely and I was made to feel very welcome. Will definitely be returning here at another time.

The seater/server was absolutely amazing. He made this experience so comfortable. He talked with me about all my questions of what I would normally eat at a Chinese restaurant. And turned it into me eating only Japanese from here on out! The salad literally transformed my mood. And I was moody. Thank you guys so much and we will be getting to know each other!!!

Our new date night spot!!! Our amazing server was fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was gorgeous! We felt welcomed, everyone on the staff was positive and happy. I told my Fiance that this is the best spot I've been to in Auburn hands down.
I spent 15 years in the restaurant industry and from the ambiance, presentation, staff, and overall experience I have to say I was blown away! Thank you Zen!

Atmosphere is fun! Amazing food. Great service. Wonderful cook at the grill and sushi was beautiful and tasted as great as it looked. Highly recommend and will definitely come back again.

We have been at this restaurant several times and it never disappoints . Sushi is the freshest I have had, hibachi portions are super good and the food is delicious. It might be more expensive than other sushi and hibachi places in this area but it is worth it. The staff is also super nice and welcoming.

We stopped by this place on the way back to Atlanta. The sushi is fresh and nicely made. My yakisoba has much vegetable and is a well balanced meal. I would recommend this place.

This place was amazing because it’s looked really cool on the inside and service was great and a man who i forgot the name of but he had black glasses and was very nice he helped me learn how to use chopsticks and now I can impress my friends when we ever go to a Chinese restaurant or hibachi or anywhere that lets you use chopsticks for food plus i really liked the windows because they had little ghosts on them and when you walk in they have a sign that says “help mrs. PAC man find the blue ghosts” there were four ghosts and I found them all! Overall I would give this place 10 stars if I could ☺⭐ - Nora, 10 years old

Great sushi with a wide variety of selections. My wife and daughter love the hibachi. Service is nice and attentive. Restaurant has been very clean every time we have gone.

What superb food and drinks. A bit on the pricier side but every bite and every sip was well worth it. From the moment you walk in and take in the floral wall you will eyeballs will be pleased by the ambiance. Show up with an empty stomach because the food servings will fill you up.

The place is nice and the atmosphere is good. The food was amazing and the sushi was fresh. The greeter lacked personality and was very nonchalant. She would flourish in a more behind the scenes role.

This was our third visit here and no matter the day of the week, the service, food, and atmosphere is always great. The food off of the hibachi grill is always full of flavor with great portions.
