A letter I sent to Joanns' about how great Faith is.

To whom it may concern,
I’m writing today to bring to light a situation I experienced on 26th of December while I was shopping for fabric for a couple of new projects using a gift card I was given for Christmas. I’ll start by saying I only come to Joann’s because it is one of the only places I can buy fabric, especially apparel fabric. I have a Hobby Lobby right down the street from me that I refuse to go to for moral reasons and there is another Joann’s the exact same distance from me in Duluth. (this isn’t what this email is about but a Joann’s in Buford would be amazing) I usually go between the Duluth location and the Snellville location. I will now only be going to the Snellville location.

I love the community that the textile arts breeds. We have so many unknown meetings places, from online to the cutting table at the fabric store. Faith, the JOANN’s employee at the fabric cutting table is a key to this community. I often go to this counter with a pile of fabric and apologize for all the fabric they will have to cut, and I’m met with a grimace. Not only was Faith happy to help me out, but she was also interested in what I was doing. I told her about the shirt I was hoping to make, hoping to be the key word. Faith, on instinct almost told me that, no, you are making a shirt, and it will be a shirt! This gave me a burst of confidence as we continued our conversation on her experience in school and how we both got a serger for Christmas. This led to two other women chiming in and speaking about quilting, fabric types, how hard it is to thread a serger. When Faith was done, she wished me good luck on my projects, and I left the group of women more confident than ever that I would make that shirt. Being able to commune with women who have more knowledge than me on my hobby is getting harder and harder to do. I learned to sew from my grandma, and I seek out help from generations older and wiser than myself. Faith is a key to this cross-generation communication with her friendly demeanor and her genuine interest in the art. Give her a raise.

Where can you go to find such a wide variety of fabric. Right here! I do festivals and of course always looking for something different. I have done the Hobby Lobby thing and they are not in the same league as JoAnns. They totally beat all stores for price and Quality. Check it out! This is just a small sample..

I purchased the Artsmith 5 pk Plastic Painting Knives. I used these knives to paint with. My painting turned out lovely. I'm pleased.

Fantastic store! My fiance had never heard of this store so I told him we had to go check it out because we needed things for our wedding.

He fell absolutely in love and so did I. It was nice to go to a store where they actually had things in stock. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

We'll definitely come back.

I like the classes and the teacher is very nice, patient and helpful. Lots of fun.

Customer service was great. I'm new at this fabric thing and the fabric cutter was so understanding and helpfully. Even checkout was great. You would think you would get crazy eyes and attitude being so close to closing, but it was just the opposite. Everyone was so helpfully.

Ever since the Pandemic. Joann's has been my go to place. I'm grateful to say I've never any issues at this location. Everyone is always so helpful. Today Amy the Manager went above and beyond to assist me with a Sewing Machine. I am forever grateful.

Joanne's fabric store in Snellville. Incredible experience with Jenny, sales associate who was also the manager on duty. She was awesome on her product knowledge. In fact, I had been trying to finish this project relating to "comets" and space.

Steven the manager was of great assistants. although he was busy assisting other costumers he did a great job multitasking while maintaining a pleasant and calm demeanor(good energy matters) . Simple experiences like such really make a difference.

Went to this location to purchase some items that were on sale but did not ring up at sale price. The young lady that works there was very understanding and patient with me as I looked up each item to show the sale price. Was very happy that I was not dismissed or pushed to the side. I will definitely return to this location.

We needed to replace the foam in our outdoor cushions and found just what we needed at Jo-Ann’s.
Rhonda, in the fabric department, not only helped us but offered to put the foam inside our cushion covers. It was not an easy task! She did an outstanding job. We really appreciated her help.

Great selection, clean and organized, always coupons online. Friendly cashiers. Restrooms are fresh and clean. I always find what I'm looking for and then some. All the crazy things you love, need, and want in one place.

Downloading the app has made this place more dangerous. Good sales are easier to keep up with now. Lines are never very long and have found someone to assist me quickly when needed. Bonus girl scout cookies sold here during that season.

Went in for a quick last minute birthday gift! The employees were helpful and we found exactly what we needed. Great for all your crafty needs! Love the clean and organized ambiance.

This was my first time coming in to Joann fabrics. There's so much to see and the prices are great . I'll be going back!

Love this place. Stacie was wonderful. She helped me find my coupon for 40% off and add super helpful. I'll keep coming back because of employees like her.

Always a fun experience exploring the aisles to find great deals. Out of a choice of Joann, HL, and Michael's, Joann is what I would prefer. A little expensive sometimes but that is why I wait for sales. Sometimes the lines are long; usually unpredictable. The store is kept pristine clean most the time, except clearance aisles. I usually see that items are where they are supposed to be unless it is some kids aisle or something that is on sale. The store is easy to navigate and each one is organized differently but for the better. It's a little annoying when people wait right behind you at a cash register even though the sign tells you to wait at the end of the queue at the corner!!! Pickup is usually quick and they locate your order really efficiently. 9 times out of 10 the items are in best condition, though sometimes like the yarn I get looks like it has been tampered or even used. I wouldn't recommend ordering yarn to pick up because they dont really check that the dye lots are the same, unless you get an associate who knows a lot about yarn. I like to get other things pick up in store from ordering online because the prices are usually discounted a little more than the advertised. That was the case for the Cricut EasyPress. I saved $20.

We had an old painting framed for my Mom’s birthday. My grandfather painted the painting and Connie took great care of it and did a great job.
