Awesome weekend brunch spot with relaxed vibes. Expect a short wait for a table but once you’re seated, they get your order quickly and the food arrives in record time. I’d highly recommend the Hangover Burger, which has blue cheese, bacon, a runny egg, and a sick aioli. Wasn’t sure about the English muffin substituting a bun, but it actually came together perfectly and soaked up the richness and sauces of the burger. Restaurant is not too loud or busy and you can have a nice conversation. The wait crew is friendly and super efficient!

My favorite brunch spot in Jersey City hands down! Obsessed with their chicken and waffle. Can’t get enough. Love their fries and their drinks! My favorite is the passion fruit margarita. My husband loves their burger. Service is always great and never a long wait. Also a great spot to watch the game!

Overall, I thought Buddy JC had an excellent breakfast menu and the location was a safe and clean part of Jersey City. We ordered the Chorizo Guacamole Benedict and the Crab Cake Benedict. I tasted both dishes and I personally felt the Chorizo Guacamole had a great combination of flavor with the poached eggs. My one little critique would be that the Crab Cake Benedict was missing the seafood and/or seasoning flavor which gives off the impression of previously frozen food. I would recommend changing the recipe to add a bit more flavor to the dish. Finally, the French Toast Sticks with fruit toppings was excellent, highly recommended. The customer service was excellent, and we didn't spend unnecessary time waiting around.

Besides, outstanding food. I am writing this review in regard to the service. The manager noticed I had my son (4 YO) with us. During a peak brunch rush, she secured a larger size area for us and presented my son with a drawing tablet that kept him busy the entire time.

Today was my very first time coming here but not my last! Busy place but seated very quickly, our server Marina was very pleasant & attentive. I ordered the steak & eggs which came with rye bread and french fries but I opted for the homemade onion rings.. YUMMY!!😋 The music was good as well as the drinks. The only thing I didn't like was that the tables were super close together (you can hear the next person's conversation close) but other than that no complaints!! 👌🏾

I’d never heard of Buddy’s until I came with a group this weekend, and was so pleasantly surprised! This is definitely one of the best brunches in JC. The atmosphere is very cute and homey, especially now for the Christmas season. The waitstaff was extremely friendly and efficient. Everything moved very quickly once we were seated. Only note is that it was a bit hectic due to the brunch rush, and our amazing server just seemed a bit rushed between all the tables she was serving. The food was all very good, but the favorite on our table was the Spiced French Toast Sticks! Very excited to come back!

Amazing restaurant in a cozy location. The service is wonderful and the food is always delicious. We had brunch here and truly enjoyed the dishes and felt the portions were great for sharing. The breakfast wrap was delicious and so was the eggs Benedict. The Mac and cheese was so creamy and tasty as well. We also enjoyed the deep fried pickles with ranch. Although the shop gets very busy, the wait is not too bad as they have quick turn around on tables. Thank you for a memorable meal, it was the brunch highlight of my travels home! 😋

Delicious spot in Jersey City! Brunch was amazing. We had the Not-cho onion rings to start and then both had burgers with fries. Everything was amazing. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the cocktail we had ordered as it was a bit sweet (The Perfect Pear) but the rest of the meal made up for it. Will definitely be back!

Went back the second time and we tried the steak and eggs and the breakfast burrito. The steak was a big portion! It was cooked perfectly medium rare and tasted great with poached eggs.

The health omelet and the brunch burrito were delicious and great value for $13.99 and $14.99. About 10 minutes wait time on Sunday

Buddy's JC is the whole enchilada! Pun intended. Imagine an excellent pub, diner, and even cocktail bar mashed up together and you start to have some idea of what to expect here.
Their menu is extensive, very creative, and delicious, pretty much without exception. The pancake and burger options alone merit a visit but there's so much more. Can personally recommend the burger with peanut butter and bacon, sounds unusual but it's fantastic!! Oh, and the portions are quite generous.
Forgive the prejudice but I wouldn't expect a place like Buddy's to know their way around a cocktail but I was pleasantly wrong. The bartenders know what they're doing and produce balanced and refreshing drinks consistently. The coconut spicy margarita is quite good for example.
Lastly, the service has always been top notch. The waitstaff are super friendly, attentive, and helpful with menu questions. Always...

This was a delicious meal and a lovely brunch experience. This place is very popular so there was a bit of a wait but they kept things moving and you could order drinks while waiting outside. Everyone was friendly and kept everything very organized.
The meal itself was delicious. The Shorty burger and fries was amazing. The shorty ribs were delicious and the burger cooked perfectly plus those fries were incredible. The Chorizo and Guacamole Benedict was incredible. The egg was poached perfectly and chorizo and guacamole perfectly seasoned. What a great combination.
We also got the Mac and cheese waffle and chicken. The chicken and hot honey was perfection. I also loved the waffle but it wasn’t really Mac and cheesey (there were some actual Mac and cheese noodles but the flavor didn’t fully translate). Really tasty and would order again even though the Mac and cheese was lacking.
I also tried the Irish coffee and it was great and quite strong.
The portions were pretty good for the price point and servers/hosts lovely and quick.

Went for a Sunday brunch, got a table within 15 minutes. Quick service and nice staff. Ordered breakfast burrito, veggie burger and cheesy mushroom omelette. Everything tasted great, the quantity was good and worth the money. Overall, a good place for brunch with a variety of options

First off when you go for brunch expect to wait!

Second the wait staff is on point. They don’t page/call/text you when your table is ready. They are old school you have to wait outside for your name to be called. Since there were patrons being serve outside the waitress ask guest waiting if they wanted drinks ( I’m talking full service bar drinks). My group was amazed by this ordered mimosas, continued to wait for our table. To our luck we had the waitress from outside, she was amazing! We tried to marry her and bring her home with us but it didn’t work lol

Third the food is bomb, upscale, and slightly nostalgic ( I think). We ordered cinnamon toast pancakes delicious, Mac n cheese fries delectable, short rib burger flavorful, and the list goes on. Anything you order will be appetizing.

Once again, delicious brunch at Buddy’s!! This time I tried the burger which was one of my favorites now. One of my other favorite brunch entrees is the spiced French toast sticks (it’s a must if you like sweet foods)!! I have to also mention the service was great! I called to ask about how long the wait was and the person who answered was very nice and helpful. We had two servers which both of the men were fantastic. Unfortunately I didn’t catch there names but when I told them that I was going to take a video as they brings the food to our table for my social media content, they were SUPER fun and funny about it. Some people don’t like that I take videos which is why I like to ask 1st but he all for it!!! Overall good time!!

Super busy on su days for brunch. Food is always good, and they are pretty fast with service and wait time. Street parking only and jc gives tickets after two hrs so make sure to park on the nok resident side.

The service was great! Thanks to a young lady named Kim. She was so nice. The food was delicious. We ordered pancakes, short rib hash & eggs w/home fries. You won't be disappointed. We're such foodies that we may be back for dinner
