Gilley's Restoration

I got four bids to restore an old garage sale desk that are hard to find any more. All the restoration places informed me I had a Black Walnut desk so I was anxious to see it recovered from years of neglect. With bids as high as $4000 (I paid $25 at the garage sale), Joe was the lowest price and instilled the greatest confidence in me that he would perform the best value work. He patiently took the time to walk through my options and best stains and colors I needed.
I was not in a hurry so he took his time and took great care. After delivery, he needed to return twice to take care of some additional details. I never got the feeling that he wanted to just be finished with the job and he wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied with the results.
He has a wealth of experiential stories and done a lot of work for particular people. I would trust him to inform me if he had reservations about taking on something that was beyond his capability.
I will take all of my future work to him and save myself the time of getting bids. I have confidence he will do excellent work because he clearly loves working with wood!

After wasting 2 weeks on another guy that evidently only wants expensive jobs but wouldn't return my calls, I called Joe Gilley and sent him a couple of pictures of my job. He called and thoughtfully explained all aspects of the repair as soon as he looked the pics over, and we set an appointment for him to come to my home to do the repair within just a couple of days. He had quoted me a price over the phone that seemed more than fair, predicated upon no major surprises, and he stuck to it. He was very friendly and professional and really did a quality job, and completely cleaned up after he was finished doing the job in my garage as it lightly rained out. He knows what he's doing. I will be calling Joe at Gilley's Restoration for more such work when any is needed and can certainly recommend him without any resevations.

Very pleased with the repair that was completed on our sofa. We have a reclining sofa that needed repaired in the middle section. The middle section was repaired and built up better than when it came from the factory. He was very personable and explained all the work that was being done. I couldn't have asked for better service. The final price was less than the original estimate as well. Gilley's is an excellent company to get furniture repair from.

I purchased a reclining sofa from one of the major chains, and within 6 months it was broken from doing nothing other than sitting in it. They sent their repair man out to fix it, but he was unable to repair it. Since the item had been discontinued, we were told that we had to select another piece and pay the difference. We really wanted to keep our couches since we had picked them out secifically to match other furniture in the house. I called Joe from Gilley's Restoration, and he came out to look at the sofa. He instantly diagnosed not only the problem with the previous repair man's work, but the actual flaw in the design of the furniture that casued it to break in the first place. He was able to basically reconstruct the reclining area with sturdier wood to support the weight of anyone sitting in it. It is now better than new. Joe was very courteous, professional, and punctual with our appointment. I absolutely recomend his services for any furniture repair work. A very satisfied customer.

I had a rather complicated project I brought to Joe, and was amazed at the end result. My expectations were more than met. The project was refinishing a set of speakers to a darker stain. Not only was Joe able to strip the existing stain, he was able to not mess up any of the veneer of the cabinets. If I have any other refinishing, I know I will be able to take it to Joe with full confidence the job will be done right.

Mr. Gilley is very nice and knowledgeable. I love my finished piece it looks amazing. I bought a buffet off line and one of the legs were broke Mr. Gilley repaired the leg so you can't even tell it was ever broken. The experience, my finished piece and Mr. Gilley were unbeatable! Mr. Gilley stayed true to the quote and timeline he gave prior to beginning the work.

After an extensive search trying to find someone to repair my brothers table (that had steam damage), someone referred me to Gilley. Gilley did a fantastic job repairing the table, he came to my brothers home and the service was quick, and Mr. Gilley was very courteous. My brother and I are very pleased with how well the table looks. I recommend Gilley's Restoration to anyone who needs their furniture repaired by a professional.

He explained there were a couple ways to fix my piece and suggested the less costly one. Seemed fair.
