Nice ambiance, the place is small so make a reservation. Excellent Mediterranean food. We had the lamb shank and the chicken Santorini and both are amazing. The potatoes are to die for!!! Make sure you stop by. Note that it's cash only.

I’ve spent an entire summer in Greece in both Athens and Chios. This food is very authentic and savory. I don’t write reviews unless the food and service are exceptional. You simply have to try Dinner or any meal here. FYI it is BYOB

The food was fantastic. This was a first visit but it won't be the last visit. Two thumbs up to Liv who worked hard as hostess, waitress, answering the phone for take out orders and handling the pick up of orders. I applaud her for her hard work all while maintaining a smile.

This new location for George’s Place is delicious, no compromises from the OG location by the water. Great service, good coffee, more space, everything we had was awesome. Aleka and George’s Specials were favorites. Highly recommend!

This place was delicious! My sister and I went for lunch and we were not disappointed! The fries were a thinly sliced potatoe perfectly fried. I want them again! The price was great as well. We had a chicken gyro, salad and fries for a very affordable price. I will be back.

Food was excellent!!! Loved the vibe of the place as well. I had the Chicken Gyro and my husband had the Jive Turkey omelet. Both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend if you like a no frills , quick, easy dining experience. Cash only though .

I’ve been coming to George’s Place for years. The food is always good, the staff is always nice and I’ve always left happy.

New George's is as good as the old Georges. The food is great, particularly Breakfast. The service effective and friendly.

Dinner was amazing! Food is delicious here! I had the Greek salad, paxi tuna and octopus for appetizers. My server (Robin) was wonderful and hospitable, she recommended the short rib and it was such a great suggestion for my entree! She managed to handle the whole restaurant on her own and still have incredible service. Will be back because of the experience she gave! Might try brunch this time.

Wow. The falafel crostini was surprisingly incredible. The side salads were so fresh and delicious. All the entrees were amazing and MASSIVE portions. If you get the chicken Souvlaki, definitely share it with someone else. Incredibly underrated place in cape May.

We had an absolutely delicious dinner there recently and the waitstaff were friendly and accommodating. And they play Greek music, which is just wonderful, since it really makes dinner feel festive. (I felt like I was back in the Greek islands!) You can't go wrong here. Authentic Greek food, Byob, cash only and it's worth it.

We really wanted to try something different for breakfast this weekend, we found George's Place online and decided to give it a go! Best decision ever. We called to order ahead but no one answered, but we didn't let that stop us! We got there and I could see why they had not answered when I called, it was super busy! Makes sense for a weekend down the shore. The hostess was super sweet and was running around trying to get everything done.. I think they may have been short staffed. I have to say, the other customers we encountered when we went in to place our order for takeaway were absolutely horrid! Berating the hostess/waitress for their own stupidity, yelling at her for the wait times even though EVERYONE knows how busy it is on weekends in Cape May. The hostess kept calm while being yelled at and continued to be as kind as can be. I was so angry that those customers had the audacity to yell at her when it clearly was not her fault. I didn't get her name, but she was awesome! Anyway, the food was AMAZING! Delicious, decadent, fabulous! The tiramisu dish is a must! BEST breakfast down the shore, in my opinion! This was our first time but I am excited to go back for more soon!

We were back in Cape May and had another exceptional meal at George's. Our server, Robin was friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The food was delicious! I wish I could give them 6 stars.

Great service, great price, great quality... Honestly, the best bargain we had in Cape May in years. They don't take credit cards, but that's a small inconvenience. Shops that cost a LOT more had worse quality.

Despite making a very late reservation, we were accommodated by a very busy but super friendly and cool under pressure hostess/ server/ runner. She did a lot and did it well.
Our server Jamie was very personable and offered great recommendations. The saganaki and spanakopita were both amazing. I had the lamb shank with amazing lemon potatoes and my daughters shared a gyro platter not even on present menu but recommended on a review we had read and they want to try it.
We did not have dessert but will definitely return. The portions were generous and delicious.
Some of the best Greek food I've had anywhere outside of my Yai-Yai's kitchen. Bravo.

This location has been open for approx. 3 weeks, according to our server. We came for breakfast and everything that we had was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend George’s Place to anyone looking for a tasty breakfast.

Both of the George's Place in Cape May are consistently good. they have some different omelet combos, Nutella waffle, banana french toast. I drink black tea, and I got the last caffeinated black tea in the massive tea chest - maybe swap some of those herbal teas for regular black or Earl Grey.
