Rocky's Cafe

Love this little place! Replaces all of our breakfast places for Monterey. Yummy breakfast for most palates, AND I added a roasted jalapeño. The coffee was good. The chef was amazing both times that we went there. But the restaurant is small and thrown together. I only care about the yummy food.

Rocky's is an excellent place to eat. Great value for the price. Great food presentation. Great flavors. Staff was so nice.

This little cafe is a diamond in the rough! Everything was delicious and the service was very good! The portion size for the price was very good as well. The only reason I marked it as a 4 star for atmosphere is that the location is small and the decor is somewhat outdated, but it was clean! I would come back for sure!

Found this on Google, and upon entering, it was pretty packed for a Saturday morning. The place inside is a lot bigger than it looks. There is outdoor seating and inside, there is another room next to it. They seemed pretty well staffed for the hungry diners. I was greeted right away and provided with a menu. As much as I wanted to try everything, I kept it basic.

We ordered:

1. Chorizo breakfast burrito with house potatoes inside. It also comes with a side of fruit - The burrito was amazing. Perfect balance of chorizo, egg, and potatoes. Nothing gets lost in all the flavor. It was cheesy and not greasy.

2. Bacon and sausage breakfast burrito with hash browns inside - I was a little thrown off that there were bell peppers in it, but it gave it a little crunch and balanced the greasiness of the meat.

Our order was fresh, and we didn't have to wait that long. People who worked there were super helpful and nice. They made sure I had all the salsa or hot sauce that we might need for our burritos. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Excellent family-run cafe. I try to order something different every time I visit. Everything comes out delicious! Today’s Belgian waffle and chilaquiles did not disappoint. They also offer a lunch menu, lots more to try!

This is our favorite cafe in the town not only because of the friendly service but also because of the quality food.
You can tell that they really put effort into the menu and they go beyond that—you can get a lunch special with a surprise!

We enjoyed everything here—they have a best oatmeal and French toast.
Next time we will DEFINITELY go back for the steak omelet!!!!

Diamond in the rough! Don't be dissuaded by the auto sales and mechanic shops surrounding this place. The breakfast food is amazing and they sat our party of 11 without delay in the back room.

Enjoyed the warm hospitality from the staff. Quite friendly and attentive. Enjoyed a Rocky's omelet, and my wife had the Veggie omelet. Bring a picture of your pet to add to their Rocky pet poster.

We have gone to Rocky's Cafe many times and always enjoy the experience! We choose a special table outside for al fresco dining that is heated. We typically enjoy breakfast there and I love their veggie omelette and my husband enjoys the sea food omelette. The service is excellent and our waitress is always friendly and professional. We love that this restaurant was named for the owner's dog...and we know that the owner has also been a long term professional chef at a top restaurant in Pebble Beach as well. This experience absolutely reflects in the delicious food. Highly recommended!

I saw this had 4.9 star review so we gave it a shot and it totally lives up to those stars! My husband said the best shrimp tacos he's ever had.

Awesome little cafe. Good food and better service. Affordable quality in an area of expensive subpar restaurants.

A local gem. Honestly, I’m so happy to have found such a great place to come to each week (or more) and I can grab a breakfast burrito on the fly for convenience instead of “fast food “.

1/22/24. I’ve been here a number of times. I’ll keep coming back! Today, breakfast burritos with carnitas. Ridiculously good. My only regret is I couldn’t eat more.

Delicious food, no one had a bad plate! Friendly staff, welcoming environment. Rockys is a must try.

WOW! We were originally going to go to The Butter House, but there was an hour wait time. My family and I ended up here, and I’m so thankful we did! The food was absolutely amazing and the service was 10/10! Being pregnant, I’ve been craving Rocky’s Cafe since. I will probably have to make the 6 hour drive again soon, just so I can have a meal here. 10/10 recommend!!

When I saw that this place had a high rating but low number of reviews I was conflicted. The fact it was surrounded by a number of auto repair places also made it seem out of place, but it is AMAZING.

Service was quick despite having a full restaurant, had it not been raining the patio would have been lovely, servers were some of the loveliest, good natured folks.

I cannot recommend the Huevos Rancheros enough. Tortilla remained crispy from the first bite to the last, the portion was actually more than enough, and the prices were fair.

What a surprise. This place had great food that was well prepared and presented. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasent. Highly recommend you give it a try.

We’ve driven over 3,000 miles coast to coast and this was the restaurant that I would give an award to. The waiter was very welcoming, let us know what the locals favorites are and made my family feel like we were celebrities. Honestly haven’t had this kind of service or quality of food in a long time.

A breakfast gem in Seaside. The food and service were both outstanding. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Can't wait to visit again.

The crispy chicken sandwich was excellent on my first visit for lunch. The next time I'll skip the Rocky's sauce because it's quite spicy so beware unless you like really spicy food. My husband chose Roxy's platter which was an appetizer consisting of a sampling of main dishes. Everything on it was delicious. Service was attentive. Portions were so large we took food home. We'll be back to try breakfast.
