Caribou Coffee

The very first time that I have ever heard of Caribou Coffee was when it was in most Hy-Vee stores when I was really young, and the very first time that I have ever drank the Caribou Coffee brand was when I was about 10 or 11 years of age. When I first drank something from the Caribou Coffee brand, I did it when me and my mother would go into the Hy-Vee Gas Station (nowadays known as “Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh”), and get ourselves a cup of coffee either inside the gas station part of the building or go through the drive thru for the Caribou Coffee location connected to the gas station. The menu at Caribou Coffee has a wide variety of coffee drinks, but has some beverages that do not contain coffee at all. Caribou Coffee has their own brand of caffeinated beverages called “BOUsted”, the drinks that are considered BOUsted can include sparkling waters, craft sodas, and even fruit juices. There is also tea drinks, breakfast foods, baked goods, bags of ground coffee, smoothie mixes, metal cups, and even ceramic coffee mugs sold and served at Caribou Coffee. The food and drinks at Caribou Coffee are made with fresh and real ingredients because the chain of coffee shops is committed to sourcing organic ingredients to their menu items. For example, Caribou Coffee is committed to sourcing 100% of their coffee from Rainforest Alliance farms, supporting biodiversity, conservation and also improving communities for the farmers that support Caribou Coffee. The chain of coffeehouses makes their handcrafted beverages with clean label ingredients, such as real chocolate chips and caramel. Caribou Coffee is also committed sourcing cage-free eggs (eggs used in Caribou Coffee’s All-Day Breakfast menu) in their primary and secondary supply globally, and is planning to meet this commitment by the year of 2025.

When I usually go to the Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh convenience store, I get a roast of Caribou Coffee’s ground up and liquified coffee and mix in with flavors creams, syrups, and specialty flavored cappuccinos from the coffee dispensers inside the gas station. In the past, me and my mother have gone inside the Caribou Coffee shop part of the Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh convenience store or went through the drive-through window for the weekly happy hour held on Monday-Friday and got our selves a frozen and blended drink called the “Turtle Mocha Cooler”. I have also had the Mint Condition Mocha myself too, which is another frozen and blended coffee beverage like the Turtle Mocha Color but it is a different flavor. I have to say that both theCaribou Coffee location and Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh convenience store always have good service whenever customers purchase things that they want.

If customers are looking for a coffee shop that makes their food and drinks out of real ingredients that are farm fresh, I would recommend that Caribou Coffee is the place to visit and eat food from as the food and drinks made of fresh ingredients taste even better than artificial flavors, sweeteners, and food coloring. I would also recommend Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh convenience store because the cooked and hot foods in their stores are freshly cooked, especially when there are Caribou Coffee shops connected to them as well.

Great service and, as always, great coffee! Can you get stickers for labeling different cups of coffee? Trying to read marker on a lid isn’t always easy when purchasing for a group.
Closing off the gas station entrance would help, keep it warmer and enable more table room

Cute lobby with a variety of seating. Convenient drive through in the back too. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable! I got the Campfire iced coffee with dark chocolate and it was delicious.

Consisent and friendly. . .Great coffee and love the usually quiet atmosphere inside and the space. It's a nice respite to work away from office or visit friends. Always have issues with redeeming points or using coupons/rewards in the app. But not store's fault, possibly.

Great for studying! Ive spent many many many hours here and my only complaint is occasionally spotty wifi. Great staff. Great coffee. Plenty of seating. Always a clean environment.

This little coffee shop has a great vibe to it. I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks, I don't think they're coffee is all that great, and I would choose a caribou coffee any day given the option. This is conveniently located right next to the gas station and in the parking lot as Hy-Vee I love the decor here. It has two large skylights that allow a lot of natural light and give the entire place a light airy feel. There are comfortable chairs and a lot of homie items that make this feel less like a chain and more like a local shop. They have plenty of options as far as coffee and drinks. I've had both their lattes and their iced tea and would recommend both. The staff are very friendly as well. You can tell that they put thought into their hiring because they just seem like they're happier in general. They do have some snacks like Starbucks does. Unfortunately nothing here is homemade but that's the same for most places. The Hy-Vee snack shop is right next door so there are your usual convenience store options. I would highly recommend stopping at this coffee shop for coffee or beverages. It's definitely a step above Starbucks.

My favorite coffee chain. The staff is always friendly and they always give my dog a treat! Please don’t ever change to a Starbucks. Caribou coffee is so much better!

I really enjoy going here every morning for my crafted press. There’s an older lady who works the drive thru frequently and she just makes my morning. I genuinely look forward to coming each morning. My drink is always perfect, and my sandwiches are always hot.

Being a member of Caribou/Einstein family, I stopped by as we do not have Caribou in Maryland yet. I was very happy with the service and food/drink I received. They are doing a good job here from what I can tell. Keep up the good work team!

They were some of the kindest employees I have interacted with in quite awhile. Me being from out of town I did not know the menu or what to expect. But the baristas simply smiled and asked what I normally get when I go to other places. While they could not offer me what I get back home, they found the closest thing they could. And not only were they polite, but it tastes great as well! Would go again!

They Open Much Later Now and it is Awfully Disappointing! However;
I can not say Enough good things about the Wonderful, Efficient ladies that run this store. OMG ...I appreciate the time they take to get up every morning. You make my day!!!! Thank you ! Thank you! Thank you! I drive about 30 mins out of my way and it's worth Every Single Mile !!!!! I am Grateful for you All !!

I was just in the St. Clair Ave. Caribou and had a delightful experience. The women in there are so much fun and so friendly. Barista Paula made my White Chocolate Mocha-HOT. It was one of the best I have had had in a LONG time. I love that they use white choco-chips rather than flavored syrup! The best part of the cup, it was HOT! It stayed HOT for a while. Usually, I ask for extra HOT at other coffee shops and get the same old cup as everyone else. GREAT JOB Paula! She is just a friendly and jovial person, so much so, it just bubbles over in her work!

Caribou Coffee is overall higher quality when compared to Starbucks. It's conveniently placed within Hy-Vee itself, and has a coffee shop next to the gas station with a door between the two for seamless movement between the two. Staff is always friendly, always greeting with warm smiles which adds to the warm, cozy atmosphere that's tailored more towards the hip crowd, but older people can enjoy it as well!

Our drinks tasted awesome and at the correct temperature. The staff at the drive thru was very friendly and accomodating.

The Turkey bacon mini is just healthy enough for my non-glabladder having self to have. I love their light roast. Not everywhere carries a light roast, it's usually just medium and dark, so I'm glad to have the higher caffeine light roast option.
