Safe Roads Driving School

I absolutely loved my experience with this driving school. The instructors are wonderful and they gave me so much confidence in driving. I passed on my first try. They made parallel parking the easiest task in the world too! I always looked forward to class with them. They taught me such valuable pieces of advice that I have not heard from other places. I would recommend this driving school to everyone!

When I first moved to Jersey City, I knew I needed to learn to drive and Safe Roads had some of the best reviews—clearly for good reason! My instructor has almost 20 years of experience as a commercial driver and instructor, but he was also timely, humorous, patient, and incredibly encouraging (even after I paused lessons for almost a year due to pregnancy and even after I had to retake my road test 😓).

Chokri was a great instructor (with a good sense of humor) and was patient with me when I was on the road and/or he was explaining things. The 90 minute lessons were not rushed and each lesson contained good amounts of practice both in quiet areas and through Jersey City.

Note: It is worth coming to lessons with direct questions that can be addressed (e.g. mirror techniques for parallel parking/etc).

I went from no experience to passing my road test first time (at Newark) in just under two weeks by having four lessons + refresher before test.

I had my first lesson with them this morning and I am SO happy I did. I'm incredibly afraid of driving and put it off for other personal reasons, but the time has come for me to learn due to a shift in my priorities. Chokri is an absolute God send. I tried one driving school while in high-school and another one a few months ago and while they weren't terrible, they just weren't for me. This school, however, is very much a school I intend on, and have already begun, preaching about. He's knowledgeable, humorous, and incredibly reassuring. I need that extra reassurance and he provides it continuously. He has a warm heart and despite me being occasionally ditzy, he speaks to me like I'm his daughter instead of some idiot he picked up in a car lol. Anyone can learn, but not everybody can teach. Chokri is most definitely an amazing instructor. If you're looking for a good driving school, this is the best choice hands down. Plus all the other driving schools have you drive to the next student and have that student drive you home and it's just an annoying waste of time. Not this school. The way their schedule is set up, you drive yourself home.

Another important thing, the way he teaches you makes SENSE. And when you make mistakes, he doesnt just fix it for you. He explains the mistakes and the solutions to them to help ensure you learn from it. I can honestly write a lot more but, safe to say, I have him booked for a few weeks 😁

Great experience. Stuff are very professional. The car is well maintained and in a good condition. The instructor Chokri is amazing. He helped me pass my driving test. The test is exactly what the instructor teaches. Definitely recommending everyone to use their services.

I took 4 lessons and road test from this school, they are the best! Chokri and Fatima were my instructors, as someone who had absolutely no driving experience previously they were very helpful. Both were knowledgeable and explained things even before i asked questions to reassure me. By the 3rd lesson i already had everything down pact. I only booked one more just because the service was good and I wanted to be 100% confident in driving. Passed my road test as well thanks to them!

Raymond from Safe Roads was all there with me this whole time. He was kind and patient enough to give me all the techniques and instructions. He is excellent in all his techniques. I am overjoyed as I finally passed my road test today. All the hard work and credit goes to him. Thank you Raymond for your excellent service. I am forever thankful to you. Keep doing the good job.

My experience was really amazing. Driver was punctual. Was very patient and clearly communicated everything I needed to know to pass the road test. Constantly reminded me of dos and don’ts which were crucial for the test. I was able to pass the test on the first try. Couldn’t have asked for anything better

First of all, I am thankful for the School itself because I feel a very good vibe from the way it is run - well the name also reflects this. I'm from a different country but have been living here for a long time, and it's the first time taking the road test here. I researched schools, and this was the one I chose because of the reviews regarding Mr. Chokri. He is definitely an asset to this company. The very first thing he told me was to relax, and that he will teach me everything I needed to know regarding this. HE DID. I passed my road test today. I also want to say that I did have a lesson with Fatima too, and she was great. So, thanks so very much to everyone. I really appreciate the patience, professionalism, and great vibes. So so thankful. Heartfelt. :)

Mr. Chokri was very patient and taught me everything I needed to know. He is a great driving instructor and helped me pass my road test on the first try!

Took 3 classes with Chokri, (who also took me to my road test) and 1 class with Fatima. Both are great instructors. Chokri was very kind and funny and explained things in a way in which i can understand better. He helped me a lot with my driving anxiety. I took a class from Fatima and went for the road test with Chokri. Both of them were so patient and expertly guided me. Alhamdulillah I passed my test easily, all thanks to both of them.

I mean Chokri is the best! He is so instructive that he would explain to you very patiently in a easy way to make sure you understand and benefit not just for the test but also for future real driving! His tips were easy and definitely recommend him! Especially for new beginners who have never driven, starting from him really stops you from being more confused. I’ve been with another instructor, most times he just tell you what to do without a reasoning or can’t explain well which would just confuse you more.
