Quills Coffee

Very pleasant spot to have a cup of coffee. Lots of seating indoors, with extra seating on a mezzanine level. Plenty of plugs and zippy wifi. Light pours in through the large windows along the front and one side of the building, and the lighting and decor complement the old bank building vibe. The outdoor seating is a little limited, but since it's right on a busy intersection, it's not an outdoor space in which you'd want to linger anyway.

The outside of the store is beautiful, with its harmony of traditional, elegant design in the front and a beautiful abstract painting on the side. But this outward appearance is nothing compared to the genuine warmth of the people who work inside. They are awesome!

Forever a huge fan of Quills Coffee but this location I will go out of my way for every time! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and I have NEVER had anything bad from here. The coffee is always perfection. I always get the salted bourbon caramel latte with oat milk, and I’ll never get anything else from here because it’s just sinfully delicious. The parking isn’t great, but regardless this is still my favorite location. Overall my favorite coffee in Louisville! Can’t wait to come back.

I love, love, LOVE this place!! Every time I come it's just a great place to study and I love seeing the staff, which are AMAZING. I'm curious as to why the espresso shots are pulled completely before starting to prepare the milk - may be a machine thing. The only thing I would improve on would be the number of outlets. As far as I know, the only outlets are on the outside windows and upstairs at the tables by the other wall.

My first time trying Quills and the experience was awesome. The iced mocha tasted great—not acidic at all and very refreshing. The decor inside was sparse, but fit the clean, modern, and efficient vibe. They have free wifi with the password being provided at the condiment bar. The service was really welcoming and I can’t wait to go back. I picked up a bag of Southern Gothic as I’m a huge fan of Columbian coffee and the smell is out of this world good. I can’t wait to try it.

Coffee lovers in Jtown area, you’ll be thrilled with this quaint location nestled in the heart of the town. Perfect location! Coffee is smooth tasting and stands out above the others. Inside decor is fancy with an upstairs level to meet others or sit by yourself in a quiet corner. Baristas are more than helpful and make you feel welcome. So excited about this Quills that’s closer to home. You will see me here frequently!!

Modern coffee shop with lots of seating downstairs and in the loft. It also has interesting seasonal offerings, when I visited winter 2022 they had a rosemary ginger latte and it was pretty good! Cafe lets in a lot of natural sunlight but there’s always some place to hide from the brightness if you want to avoid it. Their tap water/sugar/creamer station is under the stairs and near bathroom. There’s 3 hour parking outside and free street parking nearby.

The long awaited opening of the J-Town Quills has finally happened! In my opinion, Quills is the best coffee in town and it is great to have one on this side of town. This particular location has great aesthetics and a great wide, open floor plan with more seating in the loft. Not as much outdoor seating as the Firehouse location, but there are a few patio tables outside the front of the building. The decor is very minimalistic and modern with the vault being the eye catcher of the setting. The cappuccino I had tasted extra good today, but it could have just been the excitement of the new location (I'm sure the coffee was just better!). Excited to come back in the near future!

This is a great Quills in a great location. The atmosphere is relaxed and the building is really nice. It was built where a bank used to be, so the way they incorporated that into the design is neat. And the drinks are great, too!

Hands down BEST cappacino in town! I have been struggling to find a good strong cup of coffee on the East End and now after years of searching I found this gem last month hidden in Jeffersontown. Staff is super friendly and efficient. While the shop is very clean, I wouldnt tag this as a place to study or meetup with a group of friends. I definitely would group this as a "grab and go" establishment - coming in solely to grab your order then leaving right after. With all the locations available on the west end of town, I do wish they had more spots open on the east end in/near Middletown.

The Pom Ton should be a permanent fixture on the menu!

Quills @ J-town is just what downtown J-town needed. Excellent space for a quick coffee stop or to stay a while and work.

Lee was wonderful. She took what I said I liked and crafted a wonderful experience in coffee. Lee is amazing!

Coffee is great, fresh, flavorful, smooth, not bitter. Employees are friendly. They've never run out of cold brew on me.

Just visited this location for the first time and it was wonderful! The staff is welcoming and friendly. The environment is cozy. 100% recommend this cafe for someone to grab a tasty coffee and relax.

We only get coffee or Carmel Macchiato. We have not tried any breakfast pastries yet.

Incredible reimagining of the bank building. Coffee good as always. Staff was friendly and fast.
