This place is amazing!! Not only is the food made fresh with great quality, but the service & ambiance are incomparable. I love coming here to catch up with friends, study solo, or have brunch with my family.

The Molbak’s Garden Cafe has changed hands a few times and is now owned by Alexa’s Cafe. Open daily from 9am - 3pm, the cafe is located inside the iconic Molbak’s Nursery and offers inside or patio seating.

On a recent visit I ordered a BLTA on sourdough with chips and a side salad. Featuring Maple Bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado on thick-sliced toasted sourdough bread, the sandwich was delicious! The chips and side salad made it a satisfying combo for lunch.

The cafe is a relaxing stop after shopping at Molbak’s and a perfect place to meet friends for a quick bite. I have my eye on a few other items to try on my next visit.

The batista was so kind and got my coffee really quickly even though it was pretty busy. I love this spot. It is perfect for enjoying your coffee, reading a book, or even just a quick break from shopping. The plants are my favorite part 😍

First time visiting and apparently our last -- unfortunately, I learned that Molbak's will be closing in the near future.... Having said that, try to get there before they close permanently - the food was excellent and they have a great menu with wine and beer.

Will miss picking out my plants, pots and soecial gifts. Plus the cafe. I met my husband at Molbaks and have so many memories.

The atmosphere is beyond beautiful and relaxing! Our party of three ordered an entree and drink each, totally about $20 per person which wasn’t bad for the quality and quantity of food and drink we got. Surprisingly good prices considering that Molbak’s is overpriced for plants, etc. Everything was very tasty and fresh. Service was friendly and efficient as well. Definitely worth a visit even if you’re not going to buy plants or indoor goodies from Molbak’s!

Amazing location, lots of history. Would absolutely love to see the city halt or refuse any development of this area unless it's to keep a garden facility here.

We loved the cafe and we loved Molbak's. It is a travesty that they are closed. Should not have happened and the city council should have done something!!!!

Always a treat to spend time here. An incredible selection of plants. So many great ideas of hardscape as well. The Cafe was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy drinks and a snack. Decades of enjoyment.

I stop at Molbaks every time I'm in town visiting my daughter & son-in-law. Years in, I finally made a point of stopping at the café for more than a coffee or tea.

I must eat gluten free & dairy free. It's not an option. I looked at the menu on line & was thrilled to see the menu has vegan, GF & DF delineated on the menu along with options to adjust whenever possible. . .

I've noticed they take care to keep the café & the eating areas clean & welcoming. Service does come with a smile. The containers & table service is all compostable or recyclable.

I totally enjoyed the Chicken Salad with curry aioli dressing. It seemed freshly made, there was plenty to enjoy so for a reasonable price, I had my bigger meal of the day. Next time, the BLATT on GF bread!

So sad to hear Molbak's is going out of business early in 2024. A great loss to the community, indeed the whole region.

I love heading to Molbak's for the holidays! They usually have a poinsettia Christmas tree to take photos by and this year there were carolers, kringle, and coffee to make it even better! Definitely make sure you have time to check out all of the holiday displays and pick up you favorite festive plants! Their selection of ornaments is impressive.

My absolute favorite hang out in all of the East side! Wander around and find some very unusual plants, flowers, and Trees in the Huge Nursery which is Expanding soon.
The Cafe has mouth-watering selections, in an Al Fresco setting, under an undulating massive Vine Canopy. Then, wander into the dreamy home decor department,.....I've done tons of Christmas/ Birthday shopping here, and they have fantastic seasonal decor.
I cant forget all of the Staff, super friendly, accomodating,& helpful!!

I'll miss this place.
