I have shopped at this establishment since the early 80's when it was on the 3rd floorof Trappers Alley, same owner in Greentown and always a pleasure and an adventure to see and smell different oils and African artifacts. Great customer service always.

The service I get when I visit is totally awesome. Never disappointed with product. Mohammedue, Assetou and Atari are all wonderful and quite knowledgeable. I've been a customer for 30 years or so. Add that up🦓👊

This is the best shop in Detroit, hands down. I have been shopping here monthly for years. The owner and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Their products are great. I usually get oils, scented candles, gems, and toiletries. Do yourself a favor and make Djenne a part of your regular routine.

Delightful, eclectic shop with a focus on African fare. We came for the bead selection and were amazed at what else was in the store. I got some wonderful homemade incense. I highly recommend visiting!

I've been shopping here for 5 years now. The variety of goods that they sell here are wonderful. Not only do you get authentic items, but you could easily lose track of time checking everything out! I am addicted to the raw black soap, the oils, the jewelry and the energy stones!

The owner makes me feel so comfortable when shopping she is a beautiful person. I like her products because they seem authentic and of quality. Love this store. There is some beautiful loose and "flowy" clothing for women here. Great collection of dresses, art, menswear, beads, incense, jewelry, just all things Afrikan! Places like this excite me! Whenever I am in Detroit, I go here. The only thing is the store is tight, so I wonder if I could bring my friend in a wheelchair.

The lady that's mostly there, she is always welcoming. She has a kind spirit. The store has a variety of different kinds of soaps, along with men and women perfume oils.

This is a great little gem in "Greektown". My mother turned me on to this place, and they have all kinds of African beads, clothing and accessories. I love it! Everytime I visit from Ohio I stop here.

Beautiful Shop with a lots of African tradition and culture. Authentic merchandise that is definitely from Africa. Very nice loving people and extremely pleasant. Sumare and his staff are always ready to explain and educate you about the origin of the African art in the shop and it's history. I sincerely and strongly recommend anyone to visit the Djenne Beads & Arts in Downtown Detroit.
