Cafe India Bar & Grill (Bay View)

This place is amazing! Our server Alka was so sweet. She recommended such amazing food. I can't eat gluten and was so happy they had lots of gluten free options. It all tasted fantastic and fresh. I highly recommend this place! The portions are huge and we'll worth the price.

It was difficult for me to find this place, it was the recommendation from my cab driver. There are two locations idk how the other one is but this one with Alka, the waitress, is pretty good.
The food was warm and seasoned, finally some flavor in Milwaukee.
The music was appropriate for the type of food.
There is an Indian channel on TV, which it helps the mood for Indian flavor, imo.
Alka was understanding and patient with me ordering, and recommended excellent choices without breaking the bank.
I had mango lassi, lentil soup, garlic naan, two desserts and butter chicken 😋
And no, I didn't eat it all, I took some food to my dorm for later.
The restroom is also clean, spacious and with good light.
I would go back, but I think I would give a chance to the other location.

This is my new favorite place. I will be going to this place any time I’m in Milwaukee area.
they do catering, so I am planning to have them for my upcoming events.

Seating is very spacious. Servers are very friendly and nice and knowledgeable
I food is marvelous. finger, licking good, and they will modify the dishes as you want. They can also make some of the non veg dishes as vegetarian using the similar gravy.
my throat was a little scratchy that day, so I asked for masala chai and server made it herself for me. Bijaya is amazing.
They have separate area for Uber eats, GrubHub and DoorDash so the delivery guys are not in between or standing close to the guests tables.

I would eat here more often if I lived closer...the food was absolutely incredible! We had ordered a variety of dishes and the overall environment here is relaxing with good music and they even have a bar!!

The food is incredibly delicious, rich in robust flavors. Portions are enough to share or to take home. Reasonable priced.

Amazing food! Friendly staff! If you’re looking for authenticity this is the place. Cafe India has delicious cuisine whether you’re dining in our getting take out. I love the aesthetic of the restaurant and that they play Indian films also which I love watching! Love dining here and I totally recommend! My personal favorites are the Malabar chicken or the butter chicken and plain naan!

It was my first experience going to this restaurant. The quality of the food we ordered was satisfying. We ordered 4 different food which were a lot. They are generous with the amount of food. The staff were very welcoming and kind. As I'm a food person I love spicy food, I will go there again for sure

This place is so amazing and got the best food in Milwaukee area and I would also say Chicagoland.

Great ambiance, fast service. Servers are very friendly and talk to you with a smile. Majority of the items we tried were authentic.
I liked how they had a rose and a balloon on each table for the Mother’s Day.

We ate lot of items
Samosa chaat, gobhi Manchurian, Amritsari kulcha, palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, malai kofta, rasmalai, gulab jamun, paneer haryali.

Everything was really good.

Wow. The food was wonderful. The Malai Kofta is my favorite. We are from Indiana and have an Indian cuisine restaurant close to us and this place blows it away. We thought our local restaurant was good but man we didn't know what we were missing. This is definitely the best Indian food I have ever had. The staff was also very friendly and everything was very clean. Our son who lives very close eats here often and when we return to visit him we will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Myself and two business associates went to dinner here based on some of the great reviews and a recommendation by a Hilton employee where we were staying. What an epic dinner! The food is incredible. Evrerythjng we tried was flavorful, delicious and fresh. Our server Alka completed an incredible dining experience for us. She was so very attentive and passionate about the food itself...providing insight and recommendations for different menu items. She is a rock star! Cant recommend this place highly enough! We will certainly be back on our next trip thru town!

Great food, great service! Our server, name starts w V but I can't recall exactly, was marvelous. Helped us to order, brought "the good beer" and made our meal more excellent than if we'd tried ourselves with his suggestions and insight. The channa appetizer was awesome as was the Dal and Tikka masala curries. Totally fabulous, I just kept saying So Delicious throughout. And ordered way too much food as usual, so looking forward to leftovers. Definitely making that a more frequent spot!

We have been coming here for a few years and without exception, every meal we have had was prepared perfectly. The butter chicken is the finest I’ve had in the US. The pakora appetizer is always good. Chicken tikka masala has all the flavors one should expect. In short, I feel very lucky to have such good Indian right here in WI. It is a must try for anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine!

Have to admit... It was worth listening to my Grandson!!

Everything was phenomenal! All totally enjoyed the meal! We were seated in a corner booth and the noise was minimal. The staff came by to check on us and quickly filled any needs! Polite and helpful (we know nothing about Indian dining) explaining what we were ordering .

Of course we will be returning!

Delicious and good environment with great service. Got the lamb vindaloo at full spice level which was sure spicy but really good! Also ordered sag paneer and Dal tadka which were also very good.

Also have a great drink menu with reasonable prices!

The food is excellent and it's fun to see popular culture film/music videos India has to offer as they show on screens there. The service is good as well, The main entrance is not wheelchair accessible. On street parking, some metered and some not on Ward Street to the west.

My husband and I went to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We had an early dinner at the Bay View location and our time there was nice and quiet.
We were obsessed with their Mango Lassi and their basket of assorted pita bread.

Ive never had Indian food before- why did I wait so long?? Food was delicious, service impeccable. Sampled several dishes, Naan was outstanding. Cant wait for my next visit

This is the best Indian food I have ever tasted in my whole life. Simply the best and the service was amazing. I highly recommend this place to those who wants to try out different food. I will for sure be coming back again. The fried rice is the best fried rice ever....they also have alcohol drinks here.
