Cafe India

We were originally planning to eat at the Milwaukee public market, but it was taking too long to find parking and I was quite hungry. Cafe India was only blocks away, so we decided to try them out. I definitely didn't regret it. The food was delicious (the naan bread was amazing. Very soft and flavorful).

The inside of this establishment is actually very modern, nice, and clean. Do not be deterred because it is located in a building with a gas station attached. The food and service is great. Portions are large enough that my husband and I could easily share an entree.

We were going to get gas the the Mobil out front and we were feeling hungry. We decided to give this place a try and I am so glad we did! I had the Lamb Tikka Masala and my husband had the butter chicken. We split an order of Garlic Naan and we both had a Mango Lassi.
When you first walk into the place, it just smells so frigging delicious, I knew we made the right call. Both dishes were A-Mazing! Sitting down, we noticed all the awards they have won so far, and they are well deserved! If you are looking for delicious food, look no further!!!

You cannot go wrong with either the Lunch Thali (Combo plate) or their best dish- Chicken Tikka Masala. Try the Onion naan as a substitution - will not disappoint!I have made plans to stop here many times if going downtown.

For a "fast food" style Indian restaurant I can not say enough good things about it.

The Gobi Manchurian had the perfect amount of spice for me to appreciate it, and the serving size was larger than I expected it to be for the price.

The lamb curry was perfectly cooked and smelled amazing, my mouth actually watered as soon as I opened the container. Once again it was seasoned perfectly with a generous amount of lamb in the curry sauce.

This is my favourite and go to place for indian food. They are always very welcoming and friendly. We love most of the items.Specially the butter chicken,korma, alo gobi sabji, Shahi paneer, halwa, bhatura, puri sabji are our favourite. See, the favourite list is long!! If you are in/near Milwaukee, you should visit the place for indian food.

Got the chicken tikka masala, seekh kabob, samosas, garlic naan and 2 drinks. The food was amazing, definitely a go to spot to pick up some Indian food. This was definitely enough food for 3ish people, but split it amongst 2. The total was about 42$. They also said that they are building a bar in the near future which will be interesting to see.

The owners and the staff were friendly. I went with my colleague and her friends. They offered many complimentary food since my colleague’s friends are students. We had multiple food items which were really tasty 😋. We had food multiple times during our stay in Milwaukee downtown. I would recommend the place for the quality, price and the service. The price is very less compared to the other places. This is a not big restaurant rather a small eating station with few tables. This is a self service restaurant. I will really go back to this every time I feel to eat Indian food.

This place was recommended on a foodie page I follow on Facebook. Definitely worth the trip! Butter chicken & garlic naan was 10/10 so flavorful and thick! Samosas 10/10 rich and the sauces were fresh, I also love trying new drinks thumbs up is just like Pepsi / cola. Would 100% eat here again

Had both the Curry and Butter Curry, Naan,Roti, Basmati rice.Great atmosphere, amazing food. I saw many people doing take out. There is parking right in front across from the gas station.Its a strange lay out, you will see what I mean if you go..Thanks guys.

I don’t usually post on reviews or anything but I just had to. First time going there. From where I was born in England there would be Indian restaurants around every corner.since I moved to America it’s been really to hard to find something with good prices and taste. I can finally say I found one. The food was really tasty, great flavour. The price for what I got was pretty good. Can’t wait to go back again. Definitely something I will tell everyone about it

I’ve been loving this specific Indian restaurant before the renovations happened. Customer service was always top tier food always made with love and they would go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy it. I ordered the butter chicken and chicken biryanni along with garlic naan. That’s always my go to. Today I tried the mango Lassi I believe it’s called. And it was my first time. Before I even got home the drink was gone. Mango pulp with yogurt ! It was so rich in flavor once you drink it you will not stop. I typically order my food pretty spicy you can tell them your spice level. With the new renovations (they added a bar) not going to lie the inside looks amazing.

The staff was so friendly and recommended some really amazing food. The atmosphere was relaxed and clean. They have an A from the food department. An amazing diverse selection of Indian and south Asian drinks and food. Literally some of the best food I’ve had. I can’t say enough good things!!!

This place is awesome, really great food and nice interior (Don't let it being tucked into a gas station fool you) :) Paneer Tikka masala is my favorite. I've dined in, had take out, and delivered, and each time it was delicious

I had the mango lassi, butter chicken, garlic naan, cheese naan, samosa chaat, and fried fish. Everything was so good, and the service was impeccable. Depak is the best, he gave amazing recommendations and was really kind.

I'd suggest sticking with pick up/delivery just because that's what they're better prepared for, but I'm never disappointed either way. The food is amazing, and they give you huge portions, especially when it comes to the naan

I love it here!! Finally got my husband on the bandwagon... he had one bad experience and never wanted Indian again... this place changed his mind... the Chicken Tikki Masala was sooo good and I loved the spicy level... great place!
