Best damned margaritas ... every time I travel to Chesterfield I have to make a stop here.

Food was the freshest I have had in a long time. Salsa was tasty and not too spicy. Service was good...timed to allow us to order, eat, get boxes, etc. Without bothering us.

One special touch I have not seen anyone else do... Hand sanitizer on every table!

Clean place. Food is hot (temperature) and served on hot plates. Seasoning is good and not overly salty. Big variety. This is my go-to place for Mexican food. My only suggestion for ownership is to remove the automatic additional charge on every bill for 'inflation'. Everybody understands prices for restaurants has risen. Suggest you simply price the food accordingly and eliminate this 'eye sore' on the bill.

We were really pleased with our first experience at El Troquero. The top shelf margaritas were delicious and not just a standard mix. The atmosphere and decor is great (love the truck theme!) and the food was really impressive. The guac was a little spicy, but very chunky and tasty. The salsa tasted fresh and house made. We had fajitas, fish tacos and a chimichanga and all were of excellent quality and portions. We will definitely return!

Went here for a Saturday lunch and food was super good, there are large portion sizes, plus we didn’t have to wait. They had cheaper prices than other places i’ve been to and they were accommodating with tables for our large group. Will be back!

I don't normally feel the need to take to the review section during dinner but I just went here for my first time and the service is PHENOMENAL and the food reminds me of home. (South Texas). Closest thing I can get here in the Midwest thus far. 10/10

Decent food with large quantity. I had a delicious seafood enchilada with shrimp and tilapia and finished with a well made flan. They close at 10 on Sundays but they took our order at 9:35 and they were said they are ok to wait 5-10 mins for us to finish our food. Great service and overall a great dinner.

El Troquero is as wonderful as it is unique. The theme for the restaurant (trucks) is so neat and different! The food was incredible, and the service was great! They have a huge menu to choose from, and the chili Verde was on the spot. Want a unique Mexican beer, just ask, and they will provide. I have tried numerous Mexican restaurants in STL and this is among the best if you want great Mexican food!!

Favorite Mexican spot! The food is amazing and the service is always great. You can tell the servers always help each other out which is good to see.

I am from out of state and was craving Mexican food and this restaurant was really close to my hotel. The restaurant is very clean and cozy, I loved the atmosphere. The food was so delicious! I got the beef chimichanga and the meat was excellent quality and so full of flavor it made each bite a delight. The cheese sauce on the top was an added bonus to the flavor. Wish I lived closer.

I order from Door Dash. Food was amazing. It’s hard to find a restaurant to serve real authentic food and it was such a treat to find Menudo. Loved it!

El Troquero Mexican Restaurant is a true Mexican culinary delight. The ambiance, service, and food combine to create an unforgettable dining experience.

El Troquero is a family-owned restaurant with outstanding service. They immediately greet you with smiles and a basket of warm chips and homemade salsa. The salsa is "family friendly" (mild) and they have hot sauce on the table so you can turn up the heat as you desire. They have a large menu. Ask the servers which dishes they recommend. Some of our favorites are the chicken fajitas, pork tacos, chicken enchiladas and the homemade soups! Like the salsa, the soup broths are mild but flavorful. They serve tabasco peppers, chopped onion, cilantro and lime on the side so you can season the soup to your taste!

The portions are generous and the food comes out fast and hot. The servers are attentive and efficient. The restaurant is always clean and the atmosphere is casual. We never feel rushed at the end of our meal. El Troquero is located in the Schnuck's Hilltown Plaza. There is always ample parking. They have a few tables outside, a bar, and lots of TVs so you don't have to miss the game! My husband and I eat here regularly so we have grown to love the people here. We hope you visit them soon!

Love this place ! Great food excellent service and good value. They even have a little outdoor patio with about 4 tables for outdoor seating. Been there several times with very good experiences ! Best Mexican food in the Chesterfield area.

Today my husband and I split the Fajitas Texanas. We are still stuffed! It was so delicious. We enjoyed a margarita as well. Service was great. The atmosphere was a little loud but it is fun seeing families enjoy dinner together

When I come to chesterfield I always love eating here, it's great and the margarita is perfect. It's always busy

Good food and very fast service, felt like we were in and out in under an hour even during dinner time. Staff were friendly and quick to bring back drinks and food. The salsa you get before the meal could use a little work, was more of a tomato juice than a salsa. Other than the salsa no complaints!
