Meating Ground Cafe

Firstly, the coffee was AMAZING! Called over the phone before arriving and customer service was top notch. Service in restaurant was even more hospitable. Meeting Ground Café is not only a place for great coffee but also has the ambiance of southern comfort and hospitality. (For all my southerners, if you know, you know). Did I mention the coffee was Really Really good? Great experience here!

Oh man! Why oh why did I wait so long to try this place?! It is TOP tier. I have not found a better sandwich in Greenville, and certainly gives a run for its money to Triangle place I’ve tried.

It is a beautiful place. Shaina has done a beautiful job making it look both inviting and cozy as well as aesthetically pleasing. It is boho and mid-century with lots of plants. Stunning! Shaina and husband, Matt are easy going and easy to talk to. Their passion for customer care is evident and just sitting there watching interactions, I noticed lots of regulars and friendly relationships with patrons. We all chatted at length too!

The food was unexpectedly tasty. I had no idea. I got a simple chicken and bacon and avocado with side salad at about 11:31 and by 11:38, my brain exploded (in the best possible way). The flavors!! Parmesan crusting in the bread, each element of the sandwich imbued with careful flavor attention. Even the blue cheese for my salad had stone ground mustard in it - I’ve never had that - and it was great! Moved in to coffee and a cinnamon roll, which obviously revived me from the dead and filled me with the joy of 1,000 suns.

It was so good! I am already planning to be back next week as I conveniently scheduled a meeting there….or should I say…meating!

This place is a staple in our life. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is divine and the staff is impeccable. You can sit and work while sipping coffee, have brunch with the girls, or lunch with the family. My daughter says she dreams about their hot chocolate lol. Highly recommend.

Cutest brunch cafe near Greenville! We thoroughly enjoyed the avocado toast and holiday apple cider mimosas! Definitely will be back to try lunch.

Let me say that I have not been compensated to write this review. Now, I can get to the business of explaining just how amazing my experience was at The Meating Place! The moment that I walked in, the owner cheerfully greeted and pointed me in the right direction to place my to go order. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating! And the menu! Whew! Fresh options for breakfast, lunch and an all day option for Breakfast. Scratch made options that are served up quickly and packaged to preserve your choices. The aesthetic of the restaurant is so warm and clean, tastefully decorated, and makes you want to stay a while. This is not your local greasy spoon, great quality food and drinks are not cheap, so come prepared to tip well to match your experience! Great for Saturday morning brunch, a quick bite, a day date, it's even an excellent option for a party of one for a fine cup of coffee.

Meeting Ground Cafe takes food to a level of excellence that would rival the best, and hold its own next to any 5 star rated Micelin restaurant. Their fresh, and innovative creations will satisfy the most discriminating taste buds, and keep you coming back until you try everything on the menu! A big city gem of a restaurant in a small town. I personally utilize their catering services on a regular basis. Their cuisine is always a crowd favorite, and their presentation is absolutely stunning! By the way, their customer services is EXCELLENT!

Such a fun vibe with friendly & kind employees! Gorgeous interior with beautiful plants, unique light fixtures, and stunning blue title. I've really enjoyed my handcrafted espresso beverages both times I've visited. The first time I had a savory breakfast item and most recently I had a pecan cinnamon roll. A lovely place to meet a friend!

Great atmosphere. You can dine inside or outside. Fabulous food and drinks. We ordered the pork belly tacos, cuban sandwich, and meatballs. All were 10/10! Cucumber salad is good, has a little kick. Wine and lattes were out of this world. Highly recommend this place.

This is the best place to get a cup of coffee in town! On top of that, the food is always amazing. The pimento grilled cheese is my favorite, but every now and then they will have a jalapeño popper, pimento and cheese, which is to die for! If you haven’t come out to try Meating Ground, you’re missing out!

Got the special which was chicken sliders on pretzel buns and also asked for a second order with beef and they were happy to customize for me. I chose the Asian slaw for my side and put that on the sliders and they were absolutely incredible.

My wife and I regularly visit for breakfast and their biscuit sandwiches and their cheese biscuits are very good. Highly recommend.

Matt and Shaina you have outdone yourselves! Your place is so cute and inviting. The food offerings are unique and creative but most of all the taste is SPECTACULAR as usual! I am so glad you chose Greenville/Winterville to serve!!!

Meeting ground has one of the best atmospheres. As soon as you walk in the door you greeted by so many smiling faces! I couldn’t recommend a better environment for a good meal! The owners really did a great job! If you aren’t sure what to get “Shainas Avocado toast” is a must try, & the owners specialty!

Been here three times. Excellent food. Excellent,friendly service. Atmosphere is great. Bathroom very clean. Good location in my opinion. Support local! If you're thinking about a good lunch place add this to your list.

Outstanding experience! Food is delicious, carefully prepared. Asian salad had a zillion finely choped components, tiny Ramin croutons and slivers of nuts, my my. The sause made the dish. "Grilled cheese" ha! 2 kinds of cheese, tomato and artisan bread( we held the bacon), best cheese sandwich ever. Sides where sweet or vinegar based, quite good. Super clean and bright dining room, friendly, knowledgable staff. These people really care about what they are doing. High end napkins, plastic cluterly, and biodegradable carryout containers. Very well done.

Meating Ground Cafe is a sanctuary to go get work done or start your day off right. With a unique and tasty take on breakfast and lunch classics while also exploring new and creative cuisine challenges, you can’t go wrong with Meating Ground. I’m one of the pickiest eaters people know and somehow Matt and Shaina always find a way to make sure I never go hungry while trying new and tasty dishes. Plus the cheesy hashbrown casserole is a choice that will never leave you feeling hungry!

The Meating Ground is the best restaurant/cafe in Winterville, NC. They have brillant coffee, matcha, and expresso options. Their food is beyond amazing, and the presentation is beautiful. The atmosphere is friendly, cozy, and a plant lovers heaven. If you have the opportunity, try them out! You will leave with a big smile, full belly, and desire to come back.

One of my favorite breakfast and lunch spots! Have the best seasonal drinks/coffees and I loved the roast pepper soup I recently got. The staff is so nice and the place is beautiful! Do yourself a favor it’s a must go to!
