Waldo Grain Co

I've been shopping at Waldo Grain for 14 years, for a variety of purposes. This past year I've been having them make up a custom bird seed mix for me, among other things. The employees are so friendly, are always eager to help, and there are so many great items there for your indoor and outdoor animals. I'm so happy this historical local business has been able to keep their barn doors open!

Yet another Kansas City icon! I have been getting my bird seed and pet food here for years. I believe this family owned business is on its third generation of family members. Very conveniently located and easy to find. Parking is limited but just about right for the amount of traffic. Best prices in town for bulk bird seed and pet food. Great selection with fast and friendly service. Highly recommended by me!

Love this little place. I grew up coming here to get pet foods and grass seed. I now have my own place in Waldo and we just stopped by for our own dog treats & bird seed. We’ll be back later for our chicken feed and grass seed!

A bit pricey but higher quality food than PetSmart for your furry family members. Star was very friendly and helpful.

I went in today to get some feed for geese. The lady at the counter said they don't carry any but she said most people just feed cracked corn so she asked how much I want. I said not much as I just wanted to feed some geese at a park. She said it's only 70 cents a pound. I didn't have any cash but I didn't want to get a large quantity to justify using a credit card as merchants end up losing money on small purchases when credit cards are used. She just ended up giving me a couple of pounds of cracked corn in a bag for free. She was super nice and generous. It's gesture like her makes supporting a small business all worth it.

I always loved going to Waldo grain. My parents used to get rabbit food there. Now I get my bird seed there.

I buy my rabbit food in bulk here for a great price. The owner is kind and will bring your things to your car for you if it's too heavy. I highly recommend shopping here for any of your pets needs.

This place is great. Grandparents come here, my father and now me. They ordered my special dog food that I needed. Always nice and always load my truck without asking.

It's an old time feed store. With per pound feed for chickens, and ducks. And all the new grain free feeds for dogs and cats. Great place. So happy I found ya'll. Didn't want to go all the way to east Independence for my feed. Very happy new customer!

No bs type store,what you see is what you get,the staff is polite and knows what's in the store. They also have some pet items but they need more cat stuff. By the way if you have chickens they got something for them too.

I love having a farm supply store in Waldo. The guy who runs the place, perhaps he is the owner, is fast and friendly. You can even have drive up service if you have kiddos in the car and don’t want to get out.

We have been buying our dog food here for about 2 years now. The people working there are friendly as can be. Our dogs also love the pig ears!

Stepping into history in this old 'barn', and finding all kinds of birding treasures, along with many other pet-related products, is such a treat. And the prices seem very reasonable.
