City Thrift Waldo

This place is on point. I think every year they get more upscale on brands. I wish I could post all that I bought but I want to focus on the men. These shirts average $100 plus and they were on sale. Store was clean, lots of staff stocking, ringing people up, and taking donations- very busy. I like the point system they have- I saved $10 EXTRA. Everyone was helpful. This store has as many designers- can’t even get these prices online.

The staff at this location is absolutely incredible. Every single person that works there always has a smile on their face and is always happy to greet you. I lost my phone today and had it not been for such an attentive staff and the idea to turn off the overhead music, I wouldn't have found my phone and I'm so grateful and thankful. Even the shoppers there stopped to help me.

I love coming to this location! The people are always friendly and they are always well stocked. They have wonderful art knickknacks and tchotchkes that are beautiful. The last time I went I was looking for work pants in black. The lady in the clothing section was very helpful and showing me all types of clothing in my size. I was also able to combine my points from my old phone number onto my new phone number giving me a 10% discount. I always receive texts about sales And available discounts. But it is not overwhelming. Are usually have a 50% off tag and a 25% off tax special going on in store. There is plenty of parking. I have bought blankets and pillows and curtains here as well as great bolts of fabric. It is a nice thrift store to shop. Thank you!

This place is awesome!!!! Organized clothes from XS-XXLish, awesome sales, sign up for the texts!!! I think this one is top3 for me! Very organized with household items too. Sundays are your best day to come. Everything works it's way from 25%, 50%, then sundays there are things for 99c that went from full price at the beginning of the week. Come shop and enjoy the music playing. great shoe selection too. Brookside and waldo women have great taste and donate their shoes all the time and they have half off sales a lot. Lots of turnover!

Fantastic thrifting. Really well curated store, great stuff, plenty of staff. We hit a great weekend sale and would have stayed even longer and spent more $ and time but for the out of order restroom, which was a buzz kill extreme. Will definitely be back to this gem in Waldo!

I'm not sure of her name, I think Linda 🤷🏼‍♀, but she works there, definitely has the in charge vibe, I love her. She's so helpful and nice every time I'm there. Always makes my day.

The store is great too lol. I spend way too much time in there, and they always have a lot of coolg stuff to look through. I feel like the prices have increased a little but they have everywhere else so it's fair. If you're anything like me, plan on being there longer than you intended. 🤣

I have shopped at this store for almost 7 years now and I love it. The prices aren't anywhere near overpriced and the set up is extremely organized and appealing. The employees are sweet and extremely helpful as well. I give this a five star and will be back.

This is definitely my favorite thrift store in KC! Quick and easy to drop off donations. I always find great items for reasonable prices here. I could visit every weekend (and sometimes I do) and there’ll be plenty of new and interesting inventory to peruse. Frequent sales and discount days make City Thrift an easy decision.

Excellent choices of clothing, bedding, furniture and housewares, constantly changing. All of the staff is exceptional and knowledgeable except Becky. The store manager.
I'm a regular shopper there, mostly always ride the bus and bring a backpack. I've never been asked to leave a bag at the door, which is customary in most retail places, so I just went about my business. Had to use the bathroom, so I brought stuff with me, not exactly thinking that I would be aggressively berated and accused of stealing when I came out of the bathroom door by the store manager. She asked me where I put the other clothes I stole, all the whole, other customers looked at me like a monster. I happily showed her the things I bought at red rack and the receipt.
I never got an apology from her and almost out my things back and left. Thankfully EVERYONE ELSE that works there was very kind and understanding.
Note, I'm a white guy, 30s, nice clothes. I just happened to be wearing a backpack.
Please let Becky know that she needs to take a different approach when dealing with possible shoplifters. What she did was embarrassing and detrimental to my character

Management is doing something amazing here. This store is full of really great merchandise and the displays are one of a kind. Please keep doing what your doing. This is my new favorite place to shop.

Absolutely LOVE the deals. They’re almost always posting out a new deal every other week. If you get on their list for texting and deals- You can rack points FAST. They have senior and military discounts! Very cute clothes. Has an interesting assortment of electronics and whatchamacallits behind the cashiers. Has a pretty nice selection of jewelry and I even got a Minnie Mouse watch from them! I go here all the time when I need a few pairs of jeans or a new simple shirt. While they may not be graphic tees- They can be very well fitting. NGL though- Like all stores. The thinner you are. The cuter the clothes 😕

My favorite thrift store in KC! Great staff, good prices, and some great finds. They always have different stuff both new and used. I feel like half the stuff in my apartment is from here!

I really like this thrift store. They have great 1/2 off deals every day. Recently they have remodeled, and it looks great, way more modern and clean. I wish they would reopen the dressing rooms... But over all a fun place to shop.

This is a really cute place to go with family and friends because I always leave with great finds. It’s placed in a great area too.

The customer service is pretty good. The con, a bit pricey. The store is always clean. The manager Meka is always nice and professional, she works very hard. So do all the people there. Good stuff.

My favorite thrift store, both locations (Waldo and JoCo)! I cannot wait for the third to open (Shawnee). I like the clearance outlet store, too (NE area), where else can you get clothing for 99 cents every day? I can always find great brand names in women's clothing. The staff takes care in making sure the clothes are in good shape before putting them out for sale. Constant sales.

I had never been to the wornall store before . Super clean , everything was very well organized and priced . I will stop in again when I'm in the area . Super friendly staff .
