Golden Game Guild

What a neat hidden gem! I asked for recommendations on a new game for our family, and they had some fantastic suggestions. They keep tons of unique games on hand for purchase, and several cozy spaces and game selections available to play in the back of the shop. It seems family friendly (there were several well behaved kids on the way through as I was checking out) and also a group of adults deeply engaged in a long standing game. Just feels like a happy sort of place. If you’re in the area and enjoy games, you should definitely add this spot to your favorites list!

Great place to hangout with friends. Wonderful game shop. $10 to be able to stay and play their massive amount of games for all group sizes. Great place to meet for MTG. They sell some food, beer, and other drinks. The staff is fun and helpful. Lots of seating options. They also sell cards, dice, figures, paint and etc. Worth checking out, go have fun!

My family and I are visiting Golden from Iowa and are so happy we stumbled upon this store. The employee working at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming, and told us about some really cool games we had never heard of before. There is a back room where you can sit and play some of the games they sell so you can decide if you want to buy them. Definitely pop in here if you love games of any kind, including board games, trading card games, etc.

I saw the Pokémon cards while walking by and it caught my attention as a small gift for the kiddos. I’m a novice with Pokémon and everything else, with exception of food, the store has to offer after I walked in to check out the cards. With that said, there was a variety of games and game versions for the beginner, a casual fan or player, and more experienced player. There were a few private areas to play in along with an immense library of games between the front of the store and the back. The calendar of events on the back wall of the main store area shows you a packed schedule of events the store offers. Food-wise, the iced Honduran latte with oat milk was very good. The rest of the menu looked good since it’s essentially the “best of” Tributary Food Hall nearby. Service was great and the vibe was nice. I don’t know my way around D&D or any of the games, but I’d return for the food, coffee, and environment.

So I am a board game convert after making fun of my husband for his collection. After a snow day I luckily was hungry and got to enjoy eating those words because wow board games that aren’t Monopoly or Catan are a delight. The Guild is a perfect place to camp out for a couple hours and try a game or two you’ve eyed at Target. For a $10 day pass you can bring snacks, try any game, go get food and come back or order from their beer and coffee bar. The staff is so knowlegeable and can help point you in the right direction. We love this spot!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Plenty of gaming tables laid out in nooks, so hearing and privacy aren't a problem. Their collection of games for rent is impressive.

Love the game library! It's super well curated. We had a great afternoon with beers and board games and got to check out some games we've considered purchasing. We are not D&D players but love board games and they have a great selection. Also, the staff was very welcoming and helpful without being overbearing. Perfect place! Glad they've moved in.

We show up. We say hello to Gavin who works there. He lets us try Dune Imperium for $30. He teaches us how to play. We buy Dune Imperium. We leave, laughing in merriment, smiling and skipping in the cold Denver rain because we have had a very nice evening.

Very Friendly staff. Large variety of board games and one of the best places in the area to play dnd on Wednesday nights.

Really fun place, for shopping for board games, renting them out for a while, or learning new ones (Mondays 6-9)!

This place has been a godsend for gaming in Golden. Form the the game library to the huge selection of Magic: The Gathering cards available for sale, and even all the random indie games, I make a new discovery ever time I go in. I've gotten back into MTG because of this place. Unfortunately I don't have the time to attend their numerous Magic events or their D&D nights because of work, but it's still a great place to bring friends and have a good time.

This place is so cool! Not only do they have a fantastic selection of games, but you can come in and play almost anything you want with friends! I could hang out here all day. The owners are so kind and helpful, too! Loved this place.
