Fortunes Ice Cream

The best vegan ice cream I’ve ever had (& I’ve had a lot). Truly original flavors that taste exactly as they’re named, as opposed to generic vanilla or chocolate with syrups or oils. The Halava was truly the best flavor of vegan ice I’ve ever tasted. An absolute must stop! Funky fun shop and ample outdoor seating as well.

Great little ice cream shop! If they have have the Earl Grey Lavender Shortbread ice cream, you MUST get it.

Hands down the best ice cream i have had in my entire life. Icecream sandwich particularly special. Looks simple but it is genius in its simplicity with the most perfect dark chocolate crunchy cookie. Labneh ice cream is my all time favorite with what ever fruit it is paired with. Reminds me of the Italian style yogurt gelato that is super hard to find in the states. The vegan flavors are pure magic. The worst part of this shop is trying to decide what to get as they are all splendid. This icecream is so special. A true gem if a place.

I didn’t know if my reaction was overblown when I said that this is the best ice cream I’ve ever had, but I brought a few friends at another time and they were freaking out just as much as I was. The labne sour cherry is sublime, and the brown butter pecan was off the charts. My friends’ favorite was the rosemary nut brittle. We all bought pints to go. Truly exceptional!

I love ice cream but sadly can’t do cows milk anymore— I was so delighted to find Fortunes! They always have four vegan flavors available, and they are sooo delicious. Creamy, flavorful, and honestly you wouldn’t guess they are vegan. My favorite is the dark chocolate! So rich and delicious. Thank you Fortunes for being awesome

Funky yet surprisingly delicious flavors. The flavors rotate every few weeks, so each time is a new adventure. New favorite spot in Tivoli!

This was the best ice cream I have had in my life. I read the review in a magazine and had to check it out. I got off the highway and drove the back way home from my daughter's home. Well worth it. I had the cherry then headed back inside for the honeycomb. I live an hour away, but will find an excuse to head back there.

I will drive hours to go. The Hot Fudge Sunday is beyond. It's a family owned spot. Not super commercial, it's delicious, chill, and unpretentious. No foodie snobs here thank you very much. Everything is handmade with love.

I would give 100 stars if I could. Every single time is a revelation. They always have a wonderful combo of standard and unusual flavors. Their darkest chocolate is so rich and creamy (and vegan!). They always use fresh, local ingredients and it shows. Their fruit labne fro-yos are a lovely combo of tart and sweet. They have the freshest-tasting sorbets. You can get two flavors in even the smallest size and you can sample as many as you'd like. There are only about 10 flavors at a time, which is just the right amount to offer variety without causing choice fatigue. It's a really good thing I'm only in the area one month per year, otherwise I'd be broke from coming here every day (and it'd be worth it!).

The Deep Dark Vegan Chocolate ice cream was the best chocolate ice cream vegan or otherwise I’ve ever had. It was so rich, creamy, and had a beautiful consistency I couldn’t believe how good it was. Highly recommend

Delicious and unique flavors! Plenty of seating, both inside and outside. Friendly and helpful staff! We traveled well out of our way to go to this small-town ice cream parlor...and it was DEFINITELY worth the trip and the hype! Do not miss out!

What a fabulous ice cream shop! The ice cream flavor combinations are so interesting and amazing delicious. “Enlightening” is probably not a word often used to describe ice cream, but it is more than appropriate for Fortune’s. The staff there is also delightful. I asked the young woman behind the counter to choose three flavors for me and her choices were spot on. I could see on her face that she was excited for me to try their wares and happy at my happiness. I can’t wait to go back. Try the labneh and fruit (it was sour cherry when I was there, but that element switches seasonally). The halvah was delightful and the darkest chocolate was swoon-worthy. I can’t wait to return!

Absolutely out of this world. The dark chocolate was so rich, creamy, and delicious. Now I know what the rave is all about. The only ice cream that comea close it is Napoli.

Excellent ice cream. The raspberry keifer style ice cream is so delicious with a perfect tartness and made me feel somehow while eating ice cream like I was treating my body well at the same time 😆My new favorite ice cream. We’ve been slowly trying all the creameries and fortunes I immediately craved and had to drive the hour back to order again the next weekend. So good.
