The Geek Peek is a special place that functions as both a great store and a “third place” in the Old Brooklyn community. The shop is staffed and owned by a local couple who are friendly, helpful, and fun to talk to. They are obviously passionate about their shop and contributing to the larger community. I highly recommend following them on Facebook for event notifications. If you like Magic the Gathering, join them for a Friday night Magic night! There is an interesting variety of competitive and causal players there any given night. You’ll most likely find folks who vibe with your play style. My spouse and I try to make it at least once a month to check out Magic accessories and bulk. Its a fantastic addition to what makes Old Brooklyn so cool 😁!!

A good shop and a wonderful community for Magic the Gathering and other tcgs. I got into MTG recently (Nov. 2023) and part of my still playing is feeling comfortable and welcome in this shop. I've been to other places that don't feel welcoming to new players or frankly women, but this shop has allowed me to explore this new hobby. I'm thankful to have this as a third space where I can go on Friday nights and enjoy my cardboard :)

I just hit up the Geek Peek for the first time this past week, but it's already become my go-to store. I'm a Magic the Gathering player, but also hope I can get in on some board gaming or D&D soon, which I normally only do with friends at home, but the atmosphere actually makes me want to try it out. The shop-owners, employees, and fellow players really make an effort to make everyone feel at home. There are some... interesting individuals that come in to the shop sometimes, due to the area, but hey, that's Cleveland.
It's definitely worth the stop if you're looking for MtG singles, or want to play Commander, and definitely seems like it's a great store for anything else you're looking for in this genre as well.

I love this place! I’m fourth generation Old Brooklyn and this is one of the coolest places we’ve seen in so long. They’ve really got a little something for everyone. They’ve got collectibles, board games, trading cards, figurines and more! Not to mention the owners are super awesome and friendly! Definitely make sure to stop in if you’re in the neighborhood

I absolutely love this shop! The staff and atmosphere there is amazing. They are very knowledgeable about all of the items they sell in their shop. Not only have they become our favorite shop to visit but they are our favorite up and coming local business. Very friendly, knowledgeable and fun! Great prices and variety!

Absolutely love the addition of The Geek Peek to my neighborhood! Such kind and knowledgeable owners, loads of awesome and unique nostalgic items, artwork, and other treasures! They host various game nights, and have even made themselves/the store available/open on holidays (to quote them, "for anyone who needs a place to go" 🥹😭). They honest to goodness care about the community and their business. If you're ever in the area and want to support small/local business please give them a visit!

Absolutely love this shop. The owners are welcoming! Player base is stellar! Product is appropriately priced and great quality. And above all they are super conscious of the needs and want of their customers. I feel like I'm home when I sit down to play. Won't shop anywhere else. Love you guys!

Great shop. I opened a few starlight rare yugioh cards from here. My kid also loves the selection of Pokémon cards. Super friendly owners and sometimes there's even a dog in the store, which just adds to how cool it is.

This is hands down the best card & novelty shop in the greater Cleveland area. The owners are incredibly friendly and kind, and have always engaged with us and other customers personally when visiting. They hold a lot of community events for playing different games like Magic the Gathering and Pokémon, as well as one shot D&D nights. The selection is wonderful and always gets updated frequently, and their pricing is also very fair! I go frequently with my wife to hang out, chat, and play a few rounds of Pokémon TCG. Easily one of my favorite spots in town!

This spot has chill vibes. They have tons of stuff to browse through and u never know what you’re going to find. Cute for date night or even just spending a lunch playing some games. Locally owned by 2 who seem to be very nice people. This is what our community needed. Def suggest checking it out.

If you're into Magic the Gathering or the Pokémon TCG, this is a good spot to shop. The owners Mike and Jill are nice and have created a fun and friendly place for people to gather and play together. A good family friendly environment for all to enjoy

The geek peek opened up at the end of our street last year and my family and I were very excited to have a new store in the neighborhood that wasn’t a dollar store or a bank. Since then we have spent a lot of time in the store meeting new people and becoming part of a community. Jill and Mike are two of the nicest people we have ever met and they go above and beyond to create a safe space for people of all backgrounds and ages to feel welcome and apart of something special. The geek peek has definitely reignited a love for Pokémon with me and my family and we are very grateful to have them in our neighborhood I recommend anyone go check them out for your TCG needs they have tons of Pokémon and magic..my family has pulled some bangers out of packs from this store have Jill pick your single packs cuz she’s got the luck I bought a single pack of 151 a few months back and told Jill to pick the pack….pulled the charizard!!!! Go show the geek peek some love support local businesses!!!

Hands down my favorite nerdy spot in Cleveland! Mikey and Jill are so nice (and cool!) and have a plethora of memorabilia, old and new, to keep your nostalgic brain occupied. Board game and Magic the Gathering events are the cherry on top! (Pokemon soon?! fingers crossed) I love trading Pokemon cards and picking up rare stuff like international releases and accessories! TONS OF SINGLES AND BULK TOO FOR THE POKE TCG HEADS OUT THERE. This place rocks and is fun for the whole family I recommend it to EVERYONE. ...If they start doing video games trade/sales and/or video game lounge I'll never leave 🫠🫠

Mike and Jill make The Geek Peek feel like a second home while simultaneously doing everything they can to support their growing community of table top and role playing gamers. It's a devoted nerd haven and a wonderful place to learn a new game or meet up with friends to play a classic.

From the atmosphere to the owners everything is wonderful. Both owners are wonderful people. Products are in perfect condition and very resonable prices of sleeves. And they even have events every friday for commander which when i can get away from work to play is always a comfortable and joys enviroment to play in.

This place is 100% legit! I have been in and out of shops for 15 years and across 3 continents. The rogue's den closes:the owners welcome the displaced player. People comment on their low prices:The owners post actual screen shots proving that online retailers are over charging. THEY STAYED OPEN ON EASTER SO PEOPLE WOULD HAVE SOMEWHERE TO GO! Thats not just business that's believing in something.

With the popularity of ttrpgs and tcg a lot of people said "I don't understand it but the smelly nerds will pay a lot of money for these stupid pieces of cardboard". They opened shops but they don't play the game, they dont respect the community and they dont know what it is like to come to your LGS and for just a moment forget the many real problems you have because everyone losing their mind cause you pulled the shiny cardboard with the lizard on it.

I'm an East sider so I dont frequent the shop much and I'm not an active tcg player but people who believe in these silly hobbies of ours and who back it up with action dont have do any of the underhanded stuff people say they do. They create a welcoming space that makes people give them their business.
