GNC in general isn't always the cheapest source for supplements, but they do tend to offer a lot of promotions and deals to be competitive. The staff I encountered while shopping here are very friendly and helpful, and seem knowledgeable about supplements so feel free to ask them questions. Several occasions I have gone in for one item, been recommended a different brand, and loved the product. Additionally the staff makes sure you're aware of the promotions going on, and saved me money a few times when i was at the register getting 1 product during a BOGO sale. They often have a few samples of products out for people who are interested to try, a nice added benefit to sample new products.
Overall the staff really makes this place, i don't mind paying the extra few dollars at GNC vs. online when i can talk with the sales staff learn about a product. If you plan on going to GNC often, invest in a gold card, it saves more in the long run.

Go to a real vitamin shop. There is a gem of a place on route 9 with experienced staff. Huge selection of products that work!

Avoid this place, the store employees are incompetent and rude. They do not know their system and processes, and do not listen to their own customer service agents or honor the terms and conditions on GNC invoices.

This place is the worse. They are really nice when you are buying products but if you are dissatisfied and want to return a product they are real nasty. Their products are junk and don't work. Stay far far away if you want to save money and mental sanity.

You should be extremely careful about buying supplements, as they are unregulated by any oversight organization. You could be ingesting anything - there is no safety agency insuring that what the label says is what's actually in the package. Also, multiple scientific studies have found that nearly all supplements, at best, do no harm, but many do actually cause problems.
