Second Chance Video Games

My kids saved up their money for 2 years and we ended up purchasing two used Nintendo Switches from Jay. He was very responsive via email, the shop was well stocked and his employee was very friendly and welcoming to myself and my kids. The kids walked away happy and satisfied with the purchase after saving (and anticipating) for so long, can't ask for more than that!

I’ve been a second chance fan for a few years now today I got my son some games for Christmas some were hard to find Pokémon yellow and fire red versions. I got some ps2 and ps1 classics , Jay is always looking to please his customers and he always delivers. Thanks again Jay be back soon

Redoing my review as I’ve been here twice now and today was honestly the best experience I’ve had at a retro gaming store. We have some passionate owners around here and some not so passionate ones (ahem Salem)
Mr J takes pride in his store. I see the passion that has followed him on this journey to provide retro games to fellow collectors like me and at the same time, build up excellent customer relations. This is how you run a local business. Him and his sister were both a pleasure to deal with. So warm and friendly. It felt like I was at a friends house.
I did a trade in with a retro console I was ready to part ways with. He took his time and we came to an extremely fair deal. He will take care of you folks. Seriously, do trade ins here, get some of the gems he puts on display, let’s keep this alive. Retro gaming is becoming more and more niche by the days. Prices going up on Scam EBay and other stores jacking things up to a point where no one can afford them. Not here. I am extremely hopeful of the future of this store.

This place is amazing I've met both Jay and Tony walking into this place and they both are awesome SO many toys and SO many games...I go back just to be in the environment sometimes if you haven't been you NEED to 🤙🤙🤙

Called on a random Monday for help on what to do about a bug infestation on a ps5. Was way more helpful than any Best Buy I’ve got into contact with. 100% recommend for any of your tech needs or even if you just want to ask for suggestions on what to do!!

Jay is great! I’ve secured the best nostalgic Christmas present for my little brother than I know will bring tears to eyes. Grateful for Second Chance Videogames!

Great selection of games and other items. Reasonably priced. Lots of cool finds and hidden gems.

Let me start by saying "WOW!" A word I must've said 10 times during the 30 minutes I spent here. The amount of extremely rare games, signed memorabilia, retro consoles etc. All reasonably priced too! Then the staff were absolutely incredible, very very helpful and fair! The gentleman who helped my brother and I's name was Tony. Tony went above and beyond to help assure we were paid fairly, went as far as to ask the Owner Jay to come down to check our games personally. I will absolutely be coming to this shop no question. Thank you very much for the great deals today Tony and Jay. 5+ stars from my brother and I! I'll conclude by strongly encouraging any passionate gamer/collector to check this place out. Came by Second Chance Video Games as I was coming though the area on a trip to Massachusetts. Owner was a great guy with a solid stock of games that were great prices. Although I don't live near Lynn, if I ever come through the area again, I have to come back!

One of the best vintage video game store around Boston hands down. The owner and other employees couldn't be any nicer and helpful! They're always willing to try and find something if they don't have it! They also have better prices and they certainly care more about testing older systems and games than other stores in the area do. You will never feel ripped off like you do at other stores here, they treat you like family!

Jay is an awesome guy. I drive an hour just to come to this store. So much to absorb in the store with a very friendly and knowledgeable owner. My only problem is that I wish I knew of it’s existence sooner than when I had learned of its existence. I highly recommend taking the trip to Second Chance Games you’ll be happy you did! Been going to this store for a couple years now, always a good source of information and deals, and I always recommend going here to my friends and family who are interested in video games and collectibles. Always works a deal out for me, and is clearly knowledgeable about video games and systems. Best retro gaming store in the north shore.

Really nice store Jay was a really helpful and nice guy I got a legend of Zelda link to the past game and a 3ds with really good prices I recommend to anyone that is in the Boston area

Ended up finding this business by chance online and we were so impressed with the collection, prices, and J himself. He’s very friendly and fun to talk to while looking around and he offers amazing deals you can’t find anywhere else. He really deserves more business, it’s hard to find retro game stores nowadays where the owner actually cares for the business and his customers. Would definitely recommend to any collector and can’t wait to visit again!

The dude here knows his stuff. Great guy with a great sense of humor. His ever growing collection of games, cards, and figures is very impressive. It's pretty tucked away but it's always those hidden gems that give you the most value

Came in to have my gba cart's battery fixed to my liking and he did just that, super friendly guy he wouldn't even let me pay him for it! You can tell he cares for the community and owns a really cool spot to seek out your old loved classics, definitely worth checking out
