Wow! The gluten-free focaccia is unreal! So fluffy and flavorful and reasonably priced.
Really great to have a local queer spot- appreciated the community board of events.
Good vibe, great service, quality treats.

Hello, I love you. I'm in Bend for part 2 of a full sleeve, eating a bison huckleberry bowl with ingredients locally sourced from indigenous farmers. The coffee roaster is trans-owned. I love Turtle Island Coffee. I love Oregon ❤❤❤❤

An absolute treasure in Bend! We were recommended this place by an associate at Mud Bay when they saw our lgbt pride shirts. Besides being adorable and inviting, turtle island proudly advocates for social Justice causes! The coffee was stellar. We are vegan, so we didn’t end up trying any of the food. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. If we ever find ourselves in Bend again, we will spend every morning at turtle island! Thank y’all so much!

My wife and I recently discovered Turtle Island Coffee and have enjoy our experience every time we have come here! Great coffee, friendly employees, tasty vegan options in the case and the raw cookies are delicious. Looking forward to buying some merch to rep! We’ll be back multiple times I’m sure! It’s nice to be in a space that fits “us” and is inclusive.

Queer, trans, Native, and BIPOC centered 🏳‍🌈💕. Stopped in for a hot drink and a rest from the day’s errands and so glad we found this place. The drinks were well executed (dried flowers?!? Yes please!!) but just a tad on the sweet side. Not bad but we would adjust our order next time.

An oasis in the high desert: A much needed and welcome addition to the Bend area. The coffee is great and the baristas are skilled. Vibes are cozy and welcoming. Food is inspired; even the grab and go's. It's the kind of place where you can't order wrong. Everything is right. Proudly queer and native owned in an area where it is not always easy to be either.

Ignore the hate and projecting bias from other reviewers who feel unwelcome or that an agenda is being forced upon them. This is a very welcoming, lively place with great coffee, great service, and great people. I can honestly say that I am in there nearly every day of the week, sometimes twice a day, and always leave happier than when I went in. The people there are always friendly to me and take care of an order quick and carefully. The food is good and makes for a handy lunch. I always reccomend the breakfast bagel. The baked goods are top notch. The shop is bright, colorful, has good music playing, and is richly diverse. There is always something new happening too.
On a side note, other reviewers have mentioned an agenda being forced upon them, having gay coffee shoved in their face, feeling "hate" and that their "Christian lifestyle" should be respected and all live in harmony. I am a straight male, married, and probably not the typical demographic you'd expect to frequent TIC. And NEVER once have i been treated as an infiltrator. I've always felt i was treated with respect and friendship. And, I have to ask these "reviewers", are the good folk at TIC standing on the street downtown with their placards and pamphlets, shoving God into people's faces, screeching to passersby to promote an agenda like some of the Christian folk do? Are they spitting on doors and stealing flags as has been done to them? Who are the ones showing no respect? Maybe if you don't feel respected it's because you're showing none yourself?
The bottom line: it's a fantastic, fun business with wonderful, friendly people who treat you good and provide excellent services and I reccomend them highly.

Sooo good! The fish was delicious. Greens bright and lemon dressed. My Jewish mother called it the best bagel she's had in Oregon. The iced golden milk with oat was not too sweet, but creamy and comforting with a little zip. Also love the activism resources provided by this unique indigenous and queer space. If you're around, ya gotta go! I hear they'll have fry bread soon! #indigenousowned #decolonizing #bendoregon #bagels

I really love this coffee shop and how inclusive it is, it made me feel comfortable. I ordered the salmon bagel and it was fantastic! I am a lover of reading in a coffee shop, which I ended up doing but I would say it doesn't promote a strong reading atmosphere, but that's okay. great coffee and food and kind baristas.

Had a hazelnut mocha while playing a board game with friends. Everyone enjoyed their beverages and my coffee tasted delightful and looked lovely. Gotta try it once, it's better than backporch.
