9th Avenue Ace Hardware

I ended up interacting with almost every employee on this particular visit. I've been coming here for decades, and I moved out of the area a while back, so hadn't been by in years. It was good to see several of the employees still there and felt like home.

Very convenient location and helpful staff. It has an amazingly complete selection and is very well organized. Excellent resource for home maintenance resources on Capitol Hill!

Simple one of the best Ace hardware stores I’ve ever been in. As soon as you walk in people say hi ask you want you need and help you find it. I was replacing my mail box pad which I’ve never done before. The kind and very knowledgeable gentleman help me find it quickly and even gave me tips on how to put it together. Thank you!

THANK YOU, MARION! You're a gem! I went in today to buy a lock today for our dumpster. I always have to buy a small, weak lock due to the link size in the chain. I have to replace it frequently. I have been in 3 different ace hardwares, including this one, at least 5 different times, and this is the FIRST time someone came up with a solution for me.

They had exactly what I needed and all the staff were friendly.

So helpful and friendly. It feels like the neighborhood hardware store that you think of from the olden days. Very pleasant experience- will make this my first stop for any diy needs.

Usually I don't like asking for where items are in a store—sometimes the employee doesn't know or doesn't care, maybe they lead me on some goose chase, but not here. Been in several times now and every employee seems to know right where everything is. Somehow for such a cozy space they've done a really good job of having just about everything I need. Also, they are nice, respectful, helpful, and prompt. Always in and out very quickly.

Had a wire break on me on my electric violin an hour before a gig. Absolute gent behind the counter helped walk me through splicing it and saved my evening - all while helping other customers. I was in too much of a rush to catch his name but thank you very much!

I've been going to this Ace Hardware for over 30 years. They always have what I need sometimes Home Depot doesn't have small nuts and bolts that you need this place will have it!

Very friendly and helpful employees. They know their stuff! They will help you find exactly what you need.

Walk in with your list, ask one employee where to find them, done. You can get as much or as little help as you need with specific selections. The employees seem to have the stock of the entire store memorized. Absolutely awesome. Fair prices for a small store.

This a neighborhood staple and always has great service. Being as small as they are limits their inventory and makes the aisles narrow but hopefully the terrible liquor store next door closes and they can expand.

I love this neighborhood hardware store. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. I have been going to this hardware store since my very first apartment nearly 30 years ago. I know I don't look that old. If you're living near or happen to be in the neighborhood and in need of a hammer or a screw or whatever stop in and support the neighborhood hardware store.... even though it's a chain I believe it is franchised. Still locally owned.
