Pleasants Hardware

Really nice neighborhood style hardware store. Extremely friendly and experienced staff who are eager to help you. They can advise not only on what to buy, but how to solve a problem. For a smaller store, they have a surprisingly wide range of products. I love not having to walk blocks to get something, like I have to in big box stores.

Pleasants is our local hardware store. It's always a pleasure shopping there. The staff is very helpful and responsive. They know their products and offer sound advice. The hardware selection is topnotch. They have a great selection of quality tools too and all the other items you would expect to find in a hardware store. It's well worth the visit.

Been there a few times and there are always friendly knowledgeable employees there ready to help. None if the wandering around aisle after aisle to ask someone a question like you get at the two big box stores. They pack way more than you might expect in a small store. Definitely worth a visit next time you need something.

I absolutely love this place! I spend A LOT of time at hardware stores such as Home Depot and Lowe's. However, Pleasants Hardware has a personal touch. The staff is always great and it's a pleasure meeting them. I could say it's always a "pleasant" experience, haha! Anyway,s please help support a local company!

A great neighborhood independent hardware store. Staff are always willing to help as much as they can. And they offer some small items (specialized screws, for example) not sold at the mega hardware stores.

Pleasants Hardware it's been there quite a while the one in Midlothian I go in there and people are extremely friendly and extremely helpful they have a large variety of plumbing and hoses gardening stuff and electrical stuff they have a larger supply of nuts and bolts then I thought that small of a store would have if you need stuff like that and you can't get around or don't want to walk around in the huge Home Depot or a huge Lowe's store you just want to grab something and go at the perfect place plus the free bag of popcorn to give you is really nice and it's also really good plus they're the only hardware store that I know of any more that carries the simple filters for the air conditioners not the expensive electrostatic ones that cut the air flow down and make your air conditioner or heat pump work three times as hard to get air through but the simple ones that are easy airflow that you change once a month they have those the very hard to find anywhere else but I hope you have a good experience in there always do their extremely friendly but that's just my opinion

A well stocked store with an excellent selection - their tools & hardware in particular. I found the staff to be aloof, but helpful. Makes you question why you would ever choose to hike through a warehouse store again. The Pleasants name has deep roots in Richmond. This particular store is now owned by Ace Hardware.

They don't always have everything I need, but amazing customer service is their brand. You can't get in and out without someone asking if the can help. You will get advice if you are looking for it. It creates the feel of a Mom and Pop hardware store.

Rick was very helpful in my time of need. After wasting time at the big orange box store, I wised up and stopped by Pleasants Hardware. Rick took the time to show me exactly what I needed to fix a leaking water valve behind my cloths washer. Thanks Rick, it worked perfectly.

What sets small hardware stores apart from the big box stores is the service, and this place shines w it. Can't say I've ever not found what I needed, despite the tiny footprint. But more importantly, they have helped me think through many projects w objective and expert advice, and friendly encouragement. Truly feels like the mom & pop hardware stores of my youth.

Gotten me out of more than 1 jam when the big boxes failed me. Looking for an odd size bolt? Struck out at the big boxes? Pleasant probably has it. Friendly staff, have the basics plus the odd ball stuff you need at 5pm on a Saturday, all at good prices.

Great place huge selection of metric Hardware they were the only ones that had it. Lowe's didn't have it Home Depot didn't have it but they did. I would highly recommend them. Rick's a great guy.

Extremely friendly staff. Prices are higher than box stores but it is locally owned and offers quality customer service. Great place for basic household/gardening needs.

I always like coming here. Unlike the big box stores, I can always find what I need. Their staff is knowledgeable and ready to help. Most of all, it has a community feel to it because it’s close by to the Midlothian Community!

I go out of my way to come to this store. They are so customer service focused!!
