Stopped in here today to rent gear. Whoever was working thre counter was fast , efficient and helpful. Scuba gear was in good shape and very good price for a day rental

I am a troop leader and brought a group of scouts out to Camp Emerald Bay for the Rugged S and Rugged O programs. From the beginning, Carter made sure things were organized and easy for me as the adult leader. On site, the boys had a blast and came home RAVING about the experience and their instructors - Barbara, Kari, Matt, and Alex. It is clear that Malibu Divers loves what they do, and they do it well. They went above and beyond to make this week *amazing* for all involved, with efficiency and excellence in their program from start to finish. I would definitely come back, and can't wait to go get certified myself! Thank you for everything!

The absolute best dive store in the entire state of California: Superb customer service, knowledge and experience, variety of training offered for all levels from beginner all the way to instructor, best gear selection also. I chose Malibu Divers several years ago because I had called other places and NO ONE provided the kind of customer service and information that Malibu Divers' owner, Carter Crary did. Over the years, I continued my training there, bought all of my wonderful gear and went all the way to PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer level. I would never go anywhere else! This is the place!

Amazing night dive with Stephen.
The staff here are super friendly.
Had a night dive while visibility was very poor. But honestly that was part of the excitement!
Was able to see lobsters, big fish, eel and a huge crab under the water.
The water time was around 1 hour, launched around 8pm and back at 9pm, with about 20-30 mins diving and the rest was swimming to the kelp forest and rocky area.
They explained everything at the beginning and things went smoothly and relaxed. Thanks Carter and Stephen! I hope to get my night diving certification soon with you guys!

Malibu Divers is a truly a five-star dive center. My entire family utilized Malibu Divers to become advanced certified divers this summer (our 11 year-old got his junior open water certification). I can see why Malibu Divers has been around since 1969. The sheer volume of knowledge and experience that each staff member has is INCREDIBLE. They are able to break down their knowledge for any lay person to understand. They are also all very caring people, making sure that each student receives what feels like customized instruction (made possible by the small class sizes). They want people to feel comfortable, have fun, and become knowledgeable, responsible divers. When we conducted our training, we saw many competing companies at the dive sites. The smallest class from other shops were usually 12 adults; however, when we saw a big box store entering the water with 18 adults. It was at this point I truly appreciated Malibu Divers mindset on class sizes. Here is why: ask yourself how fast can a weighted down instructor or divemaster get to you if something went wrong in such a large class size. While I understand there are ratios of students to instructors to ensure safety; other variables that are taken into account for all class sizes are divers abilities, environmental factors all the way to divers comfort level. As a result, it make me think how can an instructor know the comfort level and or diver ability in such a large class. With Malibu Divers you are getting a practically custom PADI certification experience with caring, experienced professional instructors. My wife and I plan to conduct our Rescue Diver certification with Malibu Divers next month, and we look forward to a long, happy relationship with the shop.

Went in a few weeks ago to get a tank fill and purchase a dive knife. Had a great experience and love how helpful the staff was. I am a beginner diver and when talking about equipment, they were able to help[ me find what I was looking for.

I had two wonderful shore dives with Malibu Divers. My guide Tzar was very knowledgeable and friendly and nature spoiled us: We saw horn sharks, spiny lobsters, garibaldi, and of course lots of kelp. On the first dive we did, Tzar even found a GoPro. For my next visit to LA, I would consider coming back and doing more extensive diving with Malibu Divers, e.g. on Catalina Island. Had a wonderful experience. The staff was helpful and the diver instructor Tamer was great. We had an outstanding time getting our scuba cert.

Malibu Divers is a full service shop in the heart of Malibu - it's a gem of a dive space and you won't find more passionate, dedicated divers anywhere on the West Side. Friendly, service-oriented - photo and GoPro dealers for those who are into the cool cameras...

It's been around for decades and has continued to expand travel and cool, fun social events. Service UBER ALLES.
