If you are searching for any kind of unique plant or any plant you think you might have to order online... check here first!! They have a very large variety of all plants. Ivy's, flowers, trees, succulents, ferns, herbs they have it all. The prices on some things seemed to be pricy. Although for what I consider to be unique plants the prices seemed decent. Inside there is bird seeds, cute yard and house signs, birdfeeders, vegetable seeds, garden accessories, handmade pots, soaps, art, and local historic photos. If you like any of those things you will love browsing around this shop. Staff is friendly and helpful too.

I stopped by this place to pick up some rolls of pine straw. The employees here were amazingly helpful and friendly. They have all sorts of plants that seem to be in good shape and quantity. Highly recommend this local business.

The plants are nice and healthy looking. The prices are higher than I expected. They have nice trellises and some other unique items. The employees were polite. Looking forward to visiting their new location at N. college and 280.

The store was near, clean and well stocked. Heath was very informative and provided valuable information to help me resolve my accessory needs. Great job!

I went looking for a indoor plant for beginners that are not poisonous to animals and the employees were very helpful. They showed me some good options. I also picked a pot and water collector thing and I love it and was so excited to purchase my first plant. They also answered the few questions i had and repotted the plant I purchased, which was bird’s nest. 😁 Their set up is also really nice, very cute store. I would recommend.

I don't know which store is better, this one or the new one. I happened to be in both. One thing is certain. This is the best place in our area where you can find everything for your garden. Excellent staff. If you need something for the garden - only from here.

What a magical place! You must stop by and see the beautiful things. I bought 3 new dragonflies for my collection. My Son and his fiance purchased an awesome macrame plant holder. Very good prices. Some truly unique pieces of art!

I'd been looking around for a handful of particular plants none of the chain stores had offered, and the moment I told one of the gardeners what I was looking for she easily pointed me to them, despite the hundreds of varieties they clearly house. I ended up getting multiple beautiful plants for my shaded porch after finding several beautiful candidates for it, whereas other places I tend to only find sunny options. I'll definitely be back for more once I've got a greater plan in mind, as otherwise I'll easily spend hours (and hundreds!) at such a beautiful and serene shop.

We just moved to the area and needed some plants and other items. Frustrated with lack of inventory and quality from big box stores we searched for a local nursery and found this gem!! The Potting Shed is had the exact items we needed from an inventory standpoint and were super friendly. I highly recommend you visit here first instead of the big box stores.

Went to the potting shed last weekend in search of a snake plant. Walmart and Lowe’s didn’t have any and Home Depot wanted to charge $25-$30 for one. So I decided to find a local nursery instead. I figured supporting a local business would be a better option. I was able to find my snake plant for $10.99! The staff were friendly and super helpful! I will definitely be back!

I know nothing about plants and needed to plant some English Thyme for extra-credit in my organismal biology class. The lady there helped me and gave me time with my unsure shenanigans. The prices were good and the environment was lovely. I will definitely be back. This is definitely the "homiest" store in the Auburn-Opelika area.

Justin and his crew are the hardest working, most conscientious guys we've ever worked with! Their attention to detail is amazing. They are creative, honest, dependable, and courteous. They clean up after themselves and even went above and beyond. We are very pleased with the work they did for us! When compared to other landscapers we used in the past, The Potting Shed is far better!

This store is the only place I buy my plants and herbs. Wonderful selection of all your needs, including pots and planters. Staff is knowledgeable and treat you like family!

Great place and selection! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bought a seven gallon holly tree for $59....the exact same one at Home Depot was $119.

Amazing place, everyone was super helpful and there is a huge variety of plants from large woody perennials to herbs and annuals. Some really amazing varieties, will definitely return!

Great place to get whatever you need for your front or back yard. Many different plants and all are healthy. I have never had any issues with any plant I have purchased from here.
