Abby was a fantastic server. She was bright and bubbly and stopped for a quick conversation even though she was busy. She checked on us just the right amount, offered dessert, was just generally excellent. We will definitely be back. I need to mention the bartender also although I've forgotten her name. She was welcoming and friendly which is super important at a bar.

Who doesn't love a bacon flight!? The steak was cooked perfectly as ordered. Everything had a lot of flavor. It's a nice low key setting and the staff was excellent. We will for sure go back next time we are in town.

We had to wait for about 40 minutes for a table, so we got a drink from the bar and waited in the back room. Our waitress was excellent, her recommendations were perfect. The 100 layer lasagna was very good. If you want to try the lasagna it is only served on Sunday. If you want to try it get there early as they do run out. We got there are 7pm and I think we got the last two pieces. If you are in the area I highly recommend The Hound.

We came to this restaurant for lunch. We had the bison burger, double burger and the B.T.A sandwich. Then were all a hit. The only thing was that the fries were a bit soggy. We will definitely go back.

We were in town looking to buy a new house and found this GEM! We were able to celebrate an anniversary here and really enjoyed the moment. The vibe was right. The food was fantastic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back and try more items on the menu. Definitely can’t go wrong with their bison burger!

If you have not tried The Hound it is must! Food is outstanding with amazing unique choices for meats, appetizers and dessert.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Our first time here was last night. The standout of my dining experience was undoubtedly the exceptional service provided by Melina. From the moment I walked in, their attentiveness and friendly demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered excellent recommendations, and ensured that every aspect of the meal was enjoyable. Their genuine enthusiasm elevated the overall dining experience, making it memorable and enjoyable.

This little “Gem” is what I’d like to refer to as a hole in the wall! Don’t judge a book by its cover! So very glad we came! Enjoyed the bacon flight, meatloaf and the absolute best pork chop ever! Wonderful atmosphere and service! Shelby was amazing! Definitely would recommend this establishment to everyone!

I have had brunch here twice and was extremely impressed both times. The Huevos Houndcheros are fabulous. The service is great as is the atmosphere. The place is big but can get crowded.

I did notice that the bar has over a dozen taps.

The food was amazing. Service was on point and staff was attentive. While it may be on the pricey side, the experience all around is 110% worth every penny. Would definitely come back.

It was my boyfriend's birthday and I wanted to take him out somewhere nice and special. Hound made sure that it was great and we both loved everything about them. Loved the place would 100% reccomend.

Very attentive staff and quality food. Food is served in an alternative fashion to what you would typically expect. Example, I ordered steak and eggs, instead of a slab of meat, the steak is served pre-sliced, in a bowl. It tasted great, but I would prefer to have more meat for the price I paid. The eggs & potatoes were the stars of the show making up for the lack of meat. Felt more like a novelty dining experience to me.

We were only here out of necessity but now this place will be a necessity for any other times we visit. Staff? Attentive and easy going. Food? Delicious. Loved the ambiance and decor. Prices were fantastic for the quality of food. Brussel sprouts delicious. Chicken was juicy and flavorful.

What a great hidden gem near the university. We had a late lunch here before the game. Such a laid back atmosphere. And I was so excited they offered Udi's gluten free bun for the burger. Fries were homemade & not greasy. Perfect place to hang out for a nice afternoon. We'll be back!

Favorite spot to return to as a local that's moved away. Classy atmosphere, service, and food and drink selection. Hidden away behind Toomer's Corner. Bacon sampler. Pimento cheese. Pepper jelly. Shrimp and grits. Local beer, and extensive whiskey list. Need I say more?

Went for dinner at the hound and what I can say everything was great. I like how it was kinda hidden to get to which gave it a speakeasy vibe. The food and server was great and amazing. The servers were very helpful and explained everything very well. They are known for their bacon and bourbon not a bad combo at all.

But the main attraction was the food. The pork rinds were so fresh and were still popping when they arrived to our table. The ribeye was a huge cut of meat that tasted just as good as it looked. I would highly recommend that and will order that again. The chicken fried steak was just as great with mashed potatoes, collards green and gravy just delicious.

Overall the best place to come for dinner in the auburn area. Just make sure to get a reservation during their peak time as it gets super busy at night.

Some of the best food in Auburn! Went for Saturday brunch and ordered the granola french toast and a side of grits along with the ‘Young Money Mule’. The flavor in everything was 10/10. French toast had a perfect amount of sweetness, crunch, and moistness with nice, fresh fruit. The servings were also generous compared to similar restaurants. Our server was very attentive and helpful as well. Can’t wait to dine here again in the near future!

The Hound is an owner-operated restaurant where you can find very good typical American food, lots of bourbon and craft beer at an affordable price, it has a relaxed atmosphere where you can even enjoy a bison burger. Their staff is always alert to give you a good service, they recommend you to make a reservation because it is almost impossible to get a table when the Auburn tigers are playing.

Don't forget to order the Bread Pudding with a Hound Expresso Martini… a little piece of heaven!

The wife and I had a blast at the Hound. Our server Tyler was great. The drinks,bacon flight, my brisket platter were excellent. The Hound is a great restaurant and bar. And the bread pudding was divine. Cannot recommend enough.
