We got a seat at the bar as reservations are recommended here! Tyler was exceptionally great! Very attentive and answered questions easily. He made great drinks, too! They had a wine cider that smelled heavenly and tasted just as good as it smelled. I ordered a strawberry walnut salad without strawberries and they put blueberries on instead and it was absolutely amazing! The dressing was perfect! The boudain was flavorful. The beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly!

The atmosphere and service was absolutely amazing! We were greeted by smiling faces and an amazing lemony scent. We went for a post-dinner treat. We got the chocolate, stout cake with whiskey caramel we had a huge slice (more than enough to share), which was plated beautifully. When we finished our dessert and asked for the check, we were informed that it had been, “taken care of” so we had our cake for free! We were seated in front of Chef where I could see that the kitchen was working quickly and efficiently, freshly preparing ingredients. I have no complaints about the cake other than the fact that the caramel and chocolate cake together was very rich. I will be coming back to have a full meal here because the Service was fantastic, and the aroma of the chefs bar was absolutely delightful!

I had a very positive dining experience here a few years ago and was bragging to a friend about that fact. I was a little scared to go back because I wasn't sure if I hyped it up to much to have realistic expectations but not to worry. Their health score was 100, their service was top notch, the food was as good as I remember and I can not say enough positive things about Acre. I love it and will be back!

When I was in school at Auburn, I would have never imagined a restaurant of this quality making the Plains it’s home. The building is charming and reflects a humble yet classiness. The servers are charming explaining the menu and taking time to chat so you are more relaxed as you await you meal. The lovingly prepared food is as good as any restaurant you will find in LA or Atlanta. So if you are making a trip to the Loveliest Village, be sure to book in advance so you do not miss out on a true Auburn experience.

Food pictured is fried bacon appetizer, summer vegetables and chicken gnocchi, and steak frites.

The atmosphere is very nice, I particularly like the sunroom. It is somewhat rustic with a modern feel with lots of wood and white. The food is absolutely incredible. The presentation of the meals is also very neat. It is pretty pricey but it is worth it.

My wife had seen this chef/owner feature on the cooking show, Beat Bobby Flay, so while Driving through town we decided to make a stop here and see how great it was, and it did not disappoint. The place looked amazing and the grounds were awesome! The food was super fresh and tasted great. Our server, Keshawn took amazing care of us as well. We will definitely be back again.

I have been to Acre plenty of times, the food is always great, the drinks are the best, and the service is superior. Last night I brought my boyfriend there for his birthday dinner. We waited no more than 8 minutes for consummate Cody to come by our table and apologize for the wait, which wasn’t even long at all, but we were grateful for his acknowledgment of it. Cody was so kind, so knowledgeable, and ended up not charging me for my drink because of the wait which he didn’t have to do, but that is the standard that Acre holds themselves to. When our food came, I truly loved it, but my boyfriend didn’t care for the taste of the sauce with his steak so he didn’t eat it. Being a former server myself I was a little taken aback, and slightly embarrassed that we’d have to explain why he didn’t like it. Cody came by and asked him what it was that he didn’t care for, was grateful for the feedback, and removed the meal from our bill which he didn’t have to do at all. Because they take such pride in what they do, who they are, and their guest experience the manager came out to chat with us because he genuinely cared and wanted my boyfriend to be happy. Later, they gave us a peanut butter pie to share and end the night on a sweet note.

Having said all that, I cannot be more grateful for Cody, the wonderful manager (whose name has unfortunately left me), and the rest of the always wonderful staff at this immeasurably matchless restaurant. Thank you all for going above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent experience last night. I apologize for being that difficult couple, but you all never once made me feel uncomfortable or awkward when the situation was going on. You all truly handled things with grace and respect that made me feel you truly valued and appreciated our feedback.

It is for this reason that I have always and will continue to sing Acre’s praises for their dedication to extraordinary service and quality that David Bancroft and the team have shown at Acre and Bow and Arrow!

Thank you all so much for your kindness, and thank you, Cody for making our night truly special.

Amazing dinner brought to us by Acre. I ordered the duck breast and full charcuterie and cheese board. Phenomenal flavours + great atmosphere and service that executes southern hospitality nicely. A must try if you come visit Auburn! Kaitlin was a great server:)

This is a wonderful place here at Downtown Auburn! We really enjoyed the food, we were looking for a good, but not heavy dinner and we got it. The service was excellent too, all these young people working there with nice attention, they all make your visit comfortable.
I really recommend this place. Nice and clean too.

I had the most special time with a friend and was able to catch up and enjoy some amazing food! Sarah S. was our server and her kindness and quick sweet stories just added to the specialness of our night. I love when someone can smile and be genuinely sweet! Highly recommend the golden beet salad, strawberry walnut salad, beef tenderloin (picture posted was a split portion) and the desserts! 🤍🫶💛

I travelled to Auburn/Opelika for the USTA State Championships and had dinner at Acre our first night in town. What a great first impression Acre made. Reservations are a must for this popular spot. They won’t seat you until the majority of your party is there so while we waited for a few more in our group to arrive we headed to the bar. I liked the layout of the restaurant and the decor was attractive. We didn’t get a chance to have a drink at the bar because the remainder of our group arrived. We had 8 in our party and we’re seated on a Sun porch nestled in a corner. Our server was Daniel and he took outstanding care of us. The menu is interesting and they use lots of local vendors. I personally didn’t order any wine but some of the group did and they commented on the extensive wine list. We ordered the charcuterie board to share across the table along with a few additional apps. Everything was delicious. For an entree, I shared the grouper and added a Spring salad. Both were delicious. I LOVE when my fish arrives piping hot and it did. Since we had a birthday in our group the dessert medley was ordered and everything was delicious! The coffee was a hit too. Daniel went above and beyond the typical wait service, he really made the evening delightful. Kudos to the back of the house too!!!

This place was amazing. My mouth watered the entire time. My husband and daughter surprised me with dinner her for my birthday ! The whole vibe of the place is beautiful. The menu, oh gosh. We had the cornbread and that was 1000/10, tried the lamb chops it was delightful. For dinner we had the duck and the red fish. All I can say is that was the best fish I have ever tasted. It melted in my mouth. Then for dinner we had the sweet potato bread pudding and the Matilda cake. Everything was well deserving of 5 stars!!!!

Absolutely delicious! From the atmosphere, to the service and the food, everything was such a delightful experience. So much care goes into every part of your experience. The food is beyond anything I’ve tasted in Alabama. The best steak in the state!

Wonderful Mother's Day weekend brunch last Saturday. Our waiter David was perfect, attentive but not intrusive. And everything we ordered was delicious. Especially enjoyed the fried green tomato appetizer, King salmon, shrimp ettoufee and dessert platter.

Acre is my favorite place to enjoy food or beverages in all of the Auburn/Opelika area. The service is top notch. It's apparent that the staff is well trained and actually want to work here. The food is top notch. I love the boudin balls!

When I'm just in the mood for a drink, the bartenders never disappoint. Drinks and service at the bar make the day brighter. I come often, and am considered a regular here. I foresee eating and drinking here as long as I live within an hour of this place. It is more than worth it.

Had a good selection of beers on tap. Very friendly and courteous staff. Even though we were late, they accommodated us without any hesitation. Food is very delicious and very well prepared. Redfish and bone marrow were recommendations by our server and both were savory. Amberjack was also very scrumptious.
