Giant Food

Ever since I moved to the DMV area, I’ve always thought that giant food store was more expensive than Safeway. Lately, I have found that not to be the case and I am also loving the merchandise that I’m getting at giant.. I am happily surprised. In fact, I’m heading out to Giants right now to get my water to get some other little things that I need and I know I’m gonna be saving money and don’t get me wrong. I do like my Safeway but I’m just finding the prices are better at Giants right now.. and the team members are so kind and so nice I like that as well.

Great place to shop! Clean store and friendly staff with great customer service. This location Includes a Free Underground Parking Garage with EV Charging Station and This Location is Accessible by Streetcar, Metro Bus, Ride Share Services and Union Station Metro Station.

In town for a week caring for an ill family member and came to this Giant Food on H st for groceries. A gentleman in produce was prepping lettuce for display and was very helpful and knowledgeable of his products, as was a woman in deli who knew her products in display cases and the displayed previously sliced meats. A woman working checkout had her light off yet took two of us waiting in a line (we were both being patient, were not whining moaning looking at our watches or phones or making faces!) and was extremely efficient (receipt indicated Lakeya). I work grocery in Buffalo NY and would love to work with such pleasant knowledgeable hardworking employees. The website for Giant Food 300 H street NE needs to add to their commitment statement that their single goal in mind includes unmatched service!

The team member were very helpful when I needed to take my grandkids to the rest rooms & Dominic was nice to hold my groceries till we came back & checked out through self-checkout. I bought giant sliced, whited bread & it's sale by date was September 29th, 2023 but the bread taste dry when I made a sandwich.

Convenient, with broad selection for a smaller grocery. Somewhat confusing aisle layout. Fast shopping, even when crowded! Recommended for travellers.

It’s always a pleasure coming into my local Giant. The prices are competitive and the quality of the meat and produce department is on par with most stores in the area. The story is clean and has a super friendly staff.

The woman this morning that manages the balloon and flowers is so polite and professional she is such a delight

Giant food is one of the old Washington DC standards not as exquisite as the super center but what doesn't beat a blank

At 9:30pm on 10/18 I had a wonderful customer service experience. I had lost my wallet in the self checkout and the team members working that night were so helpful in getting it back to me. The store itself was clean, and I was pleasantly surprised with the selection and prices in the wine aisle. I went later in the day so a lot of the stuff was sold out, but I saw team members working to restock and helped me find things. Will be returning for more groceries soon.

Wow I lv this Giant food store. it's always clean and very well stocked. Plenty of self-serve registers early in the morning is the best time to go you can walk in and walk out they're always at least one register open in the morning with a cashier I usually go in around 7:00 7:30.

Nice spot that's convenient for H Street. The store is a full Giant, and they have everything you'd expect to see in any other grocery store. Good produce, and I enjoy their sale shelf. Nice to be able to walk here and walk out. I've never driven here, and I don't know what their parking situation is, but there's generally space on H Street (they may also have a structure).

It's nice to be able to have a full service store in the city!

I LOVE SHOPPING AT GIANTS STORE'S EVERY THANK IS FRESH DAILY

The store has a large variety of items to choose from. The customer service was nice and very helpful. The fresh seafood section was nice too. The only thing I had a problem with they did not have Tajin the Clasico seasoning....get some ya'll. There wasn't even any in the Mexican food section...Otherwise a nice place to shop. I'll go back..they even had liquor. I was told grocery stores in Washington DC didn't have liquor not true....this store had a large selection of liquor. I can't remember if there was hard liquor but the wine and mixed 🍸 selection was huge....Thumbs-up.

The store was a little messy but good selection. The people are nice and always find what I need. Plus prices are good.

Giant is nice when staff as well.

Bravo Seafood department! The new young men working this afternoon is super friendly and I watched him connect with each and every guest with a Smile and with Purpose! Definitely a great addition to the team! Headed home to enjoy my Salmon!

The employee Karen L. Was very helpful and compassionate. She walked us around the store to help us find our ingredients for grandma’s recipe. Karen even came looking for us when she found an ingredient we had been looking for. She went above and beyond for us. The world needs more employees like her.
