Great small business restaurant in Claymont,DE with many varieties of healthy options menu with a very affordable prices. I had the blackened shrimp over rice, the meal was amazingly delicious! I also had the lavender latte which tasted rich and robust.

Food here is a secret. I got the Korean Sammy and it was DELICIOUS. Locals were saying all the food is a must try so I’ll definitely be back. Iced latte was AMAZING. I asked for not too sweet and she made it perfectly

Great local business where you can get something quick to eat or drink. Can't comment on the coffee as I'm not a coffee drinker but with the brown sugar milk tea and the blueberry tart I had, they were delicious. I'm glad I was able to grab the last one tart. The atmosphere is very relaxing and has several unique wooden tables you can sit around. The food here also looks amazing, I definitely will have to check it out next time. Seems like a great breakfast and lunch place to check out. Worth checking out if you are driving through Claymont.

Loved everything here and will definitely be back! Staff is friendly and food and drinks were delicious. I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich, Snickerdoodle latte and a jelly-filled donut which I really enjoyed. Also loved the beautiful and unique artwork for sale.

The cutest little cafe I ever did see. This amazing little breakfast and lunch spot is run by the sweetest people. Their food is phenomenal and we always make it a point to stop by on our way to DC from Philly. Great pastries, breakfast and lunch sandwiches with Asian flair, and morning beverages. Be sure to stop by if you’re in the area!

My son has been asking for days to take him to Java Bean after he saw their menu sitting in my car. Took him this morning and got the avocado toast and croffle and they were both so delicious. I can’t wait to go back. Atmosphere was very nice and Joe, the owner made it a point to come out and greeted everyone. Definitely worth stopping by. Last time I came I got the Korean Sammy and it was just as delicious!

Has that extra special care in both flavor and construction of their food you don’t normally get. You can tell their ingredients are fresh (and prepared to order); their sauces are home made and have a ton of flavor; and their pickles are either home made or from a local shop and are to die for. Their staff is also very friendly.

If you’re looking for sandwiches, drinks, and other grub that has that special flare, don’t miss it. They made a regular out of me! Also, they have super easy parking too, especially if you’re just swinging in.

I love accidental yet meant to be stories! My husband, bestfriend and I are traveling the East Coast for my birthday weekend. On the way from PA to VA we decided to stop for coffee and came across JBC! We saw the reviews were amazing and had to see what it was all about! We were greeted by Joe the owner! Super kind and oh so welcoming! He was playing a board game with some friends and celebrating Sondras Birthday and their one year grand opening anniversary! I asked Sondra when her birthday was and she said it was tomorrow! We share a birthday which was fun to find out and I loved everything about our interaction! Joe offered us to try some of their Asian fusion cuisine and gave us a sample of their noodles!! Literally some of the best noodles I’ve had! The flavor was extremely balanced and the pickled veggies complimented the overall dish! I highly recommend this place! Seriously such a great and friendly vibe! Being a coffee connoisseur and foodie this place will not disappoint! Thanks again for a great conversation and some good ole southern hospitality! JBC is a neighborhood gem! It's a great place for coffee, pastries, sandwiches and more. I tried the JBC Coffee Jelly which is a brown sugar shaken espresso with coffee jelly. Very unique! Also tried the croffles, Korean Steak Sammy, and Philly Sunrise. All delicious! You can get the croffles savory or sweet. The house pickles in the Korean Steak Sammy gave it a nice balance and crunch. And Philly Sunrise was a super satisfying breakfast sandwich. I'll definitely be back to try everything else. Staff is wonderful. JBC is highly recommended!

We had a chance to visit this newly opened - cute cafe yesterday. All the staff are great! Foods and drinks are excellent. We tried Philly Sunrise and Korean Steak Sammy - which are amazingly delicious. And don't miss the JBC Coffee Jelly when you're there. This will be my new place to hang out with family and friends - or - just to get a cup of ice coffee. Kudos to the owners (Joe, Ping, Calvin, and Cathy)!

We googled breakfast places in Claymont, DE. Java Bean came up as an option so we stopped in, what a great little cafe.
Small but fun menu with only a few tables for indoor seating. Wow, our breakfasts were awesome. They were served on white plates very simple but they were fresh, tasty and not over priced. Coffee was fresh, nice hot and cold tea selections.
Highly recommend stopping in for fresh food.

Java Bean is a great new addition to Claymont area! Just what was needed! My favorite is the French toast! The baguette they use is just right! Owner is super friendly as well! Nice to meet you Joe.

Stopped by for a coffee and got it with coffee jelly since I never tried that before. It was incredibly delicious, sweet and full-bodied flavor further enhanced by the jelly! The cafe is well organized and has a very inviting and friendly atmosphere. The lady taking care of my order was kind and patient too :)

Java Bean Café is the perfect spot for made to order coffee drinks and breakfast foods! The atmosphere and staff are so warm and welcoming they truly have something special. Their menu is extensive and thoughtful to all dietary needs and the hand made lattes are AMAZING. I will be visiting again soon and letting my family and friends now about this unique find.

New coffee spot! Just moved here and this place had the best french toast I've had in my life. Fantastic maple syrup and the bread was the perfect texture. Good portions too!
