I want to give a sincere shout out to the Heathers (there are three of them and no, they were not in the movie) at Walgreens on Franklin.

Like most people commenting here, I’ve had to deal with inconveniences at Walgreens. Long wait times, delayed prescriptions, closed for seemingly random reasons. This is a huge problem and very frustrating for everybody, including the staff.

But it is happening across the country. Recently, CVS pharmacists in Kansas City walked out to protest unsafe and stressful work conditions due to lack of proper staffing. Some 75,000 Kaiser Permanente healthcare workers went on strike over burnout and problems with retention and recruiting. Walgreens employees in some states are planning walkouts this week over prescription and vaccination expectations demanded by corporate management that result in delays and angry customers.

On a recent visit to this Walgreen’s location, I overheard a man yelling at one of the Heathers because his prescriptions weren’t ready. When she tried to explain why he lost his temper. He was so loud and rude that folks in line and the waiting room became visibly uncomfortable. This was NOT her fault.

Please try to be patient and nice to the local people serving you. If you want to complain, aim your anger towards executives at Walgreens and let the people in charge know you want this fixed now.

I ordered photo prints from Shutterfly and they never arrived, so I went to Walgreens to try to get them printed at the photo center for a gift, and the computer in store told me after I’d already ordered that I wouldn’t receive them until several days later, which would be too late. I asked one of the associates and they said it was because they had been out of 4X6” paper. They’d just gotten the paper in and there were over 100 orders waiting. I obviously seemed stressed, and the associate (PJ) made a special accommodation for me and printed them right then- so nice! Thanks PJ!

If you've ever been in a standalone Walgreens buidling, you know they are all built to a standard foot print. I just have to say that this location is built backwards. The entrance doesn't face the intersection like usual, but is off to one side. It feels so strange to me since their buildings are always so identical in location and placement.

That being said, this is a very clean and organized store. I don't see a lot of turnover in the staff and they all seem to be pleasant people who'd I'd feel comfortable approaching on the street. Both of the Walgreen's locations in Bend seem to be well run and managed. I prefer them to their competitors.

I flew into Bend and forgot to pack by morning meds for high BP and hypothyroidism. Being diabetic, this was pretty serious. Keith and his staff went above and beyond to take care of my needs. My decision to make Walgreens my location for my pharmacy needs 7years ago has save my “bacon” more than once. This is just the latest example of wisdom of my decision. Kudos to Keith and his staff. They are great.

I love this store! I usually go here to buy candy and transfer videotapes to DVD. The employees were very understandable and nice, and it was some great experiences. I would love to come back here when I have a chance to do anything with Walgreens Photo.

Aidan in the photo center is excellent! I needed to print out some pictures today. I went in here and Aidan walked me through things with excellent customer service which is hard to find nowadays. Not only did he help me be successful, he printed them out right away.

Went into deposit money on my chime and miscounted my money, Logan counted it correctly and I felt like I got my taxes

We needed a passport picture this morning. The friendly lady working the checkout was friendly and fast. I failed to get her name. Thank you for your help today!

Every time I have been there everyone has been very helpful and friendly and their inventory is always good too. I can always find what I need there. Convenient location and they stay open late.

Super friendly and efficient. This store is clean and very well organized. The pharmacy has been very helpful and exact in its service.

They have some good prices on soda and I love that they do the Red Nose Day on May 27th. And they have a very friendly staff.

I certainly feel that this location is nice enough. service at the pharmacy is satisfactory, not at all frustratingly slow. The one aspect I do not like is that their prices on items that are also sold elsewhere are, by comparison, significantly higher. Also if you're paying out of pocket for prescriptions, their drug prices are different enough to encourage shopping around.
