Smoketown Bait and Tackle

Love this store! We came in because my boyfriend forgot his fishing rod and the owners got us hooked up in no time! They were both so kind and an absolute delight. Had the perfect rod/reel combo for us and even put line on it for us! 10/10 would recommend!

I spent months trying to catch fish after moving here, but after talking to Andy this morning I finally started catching them!

He spent an hour showing me how to rig everything, how to use what I had already and what I needed to buy, and even where to go!

You can buy anything online, but you can't replace the knowledge and helpful advice you get from a shop like this. The prices were perfectly reasonable as well, so there's no reason not to go check them out.

This is an awesome Veteran Owned business. He was well stocked and the store was extremely clean and well organized. I was able to get my Maryland fishing license and some great local fishing insight.

I recently visited this fish bait shop and was blown away by the selection and quality of the bait. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and were able to recommend the perfect bait for my fishing needs. I ended up catching a trophy-sized fish on my trip and I know it was because of the great bait from this shop. I highly recommend giving them a visit the next time you need bait – you won't be disappointed!

My fiancé and I were just looking for some live bait so we could go fishing. This was the first place to pop up in the area. The customer service was beyond excellent! From the moment we walked in, he held the door for us, then he showed us around and helped us pick out what we were looking for. He even gave us a map of the area and showed us some good spots to fish. We will definitely be coming back!

Love this place! Local spot in Purcellville stopped carrying fishing gear and had to expand my search to find another trusty spot. Smoketown did not disappoint! Anthony is super knowledgeable, friendly, and a great caretaker of anglers within his community. Highly recommend stopping by if you havent already!

Andy helped me pick out quality gear and gave me great advice. Excellent customer service! Ill be going here anytime I need fishing stuff for now on.

I can’t recommend this shop enough it has a giant selection of gear and they also carry live bait which is hard to come by now adays. If you are in the area for sure stop by the shop Anthony will answer any questions you have!

Came in a few months ago to buy lures. Had never bass fished before, owner gave my girlfriend and I great advice on how to lure fish, where to cast, and even a few spots to try near Harper's Ferry. Caught a foot long bass within 10 mins 💪

Very nice relaxing small town shop atmosphere. Kind shop owner willing to help as much as possible and has good gear. Got crickets, and other baits that you would need. Had the gear I needed cause I was missing some things from my tackle.

My son and I had issues with our fishing poles we purchased from Walmart (our mistake) and were unable to get them to work properly. We were extremely pleased with the help we received at the Smoketown Bait & Tackle shop. After our fishing gear was outfitted with the proper lines and repaired, we were all set to fish. We were treated extremely well and in under an hour, we were catching bass - thank you so much! We will purchase our fishing gear and from Smoketown as we continue to expand our fishing equipment.
