El Jicaro Salvadoran Restaurant

This is one of the best restaurant experience I had in NWA with in last 6 years. Let's first talk about food, I went there for pupusas and they were awesome. Many popular choices of filling were available. My wife and kid are vegetarian, so we ordered Loroca and Calabasas pupusas for all of us. My son ordererd potato empanadas. I got beans and pork pupusa. My wife ordered chille rellano. Everything was awesome, pupusas especially were very tasty, I wish I could eat more of them but they are so filling that 1 or 2 is enough.

For my indian friends out there, if you ever wondered how corn flour paranthas would be, try pupusas, I bet you will like it better than paranthas.

The decor is very simple and clean, there is a big bar that I will try sometime in next visit.

The high light of our visit was the fresh juice and horchata. They were really good, and she gave us samples before we could choose and ordered.

🔥🔥🔥 from the same people as Havana Tropical Grill in DTR. Food is prepared fresh so be prepared to wait 30 mins or so, on a slow day. That being said it is worth the wait. Friendly staff. The bean dip appetizer they brought to the table was delicious. I would highly recommend the shrimp in creme sauce. With the fresh griddled tortillas, it was simply amazing.

We decided to try the pupusas last minute and they were willing to take our order. They were very welcoming and gracious to attend us. The restaurant was very clean as well. The pupusas were very delicious, probably the best ones around in town. We look forward to trying out their other foods.

Ruth served us. The food was excellent on another level. The service was superb and quick. The taste was clean delicious. The coffee and passion fruit juice was so delicious. The restaurant was super clean smelled so clean and pristine. Loved it will come back soon!

Tasty! I had the El Jicaro Sampler: tamale, puposa de queso, yucca con chicarron, pasteles, platano frito, with curtido and chuunks of pork.
It could serve 2 people! I was curious to try yucca, golden fried. Hubby had grilled chicken plate with Salvadoran rice, house salad, and tortillas , which are thick. He added an extra puposa, the national dish. Our waitress, Keyri, was friendly and helpful. Mucho delicioso!

The food here is delicious. We got the platter mixture of different foods and everything was amazing. The tamales are super soft and flavorful and the pork inside is tender. We also had a corn drink that was refreshing. There is a marriage rice dish and the rice is served with cheese and cream and it was the most well seasoned rice I've had. Will definitely be a regular customer from now on😊

We haven't been here in person yet (thanks COVID) but we've ordered delivery many times and the food is always delicious! Our entire family loves their food. Way better papusas than we've had from any other spot in Rogers.

I love the tortillas with refried beans they give to snack on while you wait for your order. The pupusas are great and service is always good!

Best pupusas ever! You MUST try their chicharrón and queso pupusas (pork and cheese) and if you are looking for a dessert try their fried plantains.

We picked up El Jicaro for dinner tonight and It. Was. Amazing!! Everything was so delicious!!

We had a few different types of papusas, a tamale, some Salvadoran chorizo and we split their Mar y Tierra. What can I say we wanted to sample a little bit of everything 🙂

Even after the 20 minute ride home the textures and flavors of every single item was Perfect. So much so we ate it all before we thought about taking pictures of the food!

Don't miss out on this hidden gem! Best pupusas in town! If you're in the mood for a rich delicious dish, I highly recommend the polla en crema as well.
