Judge Scott presided over my case to adopt my step son. My wife and I started the process a few months after marriage.

We found that Judge Scott will not approve a step parent adoption unless the couple has been married for more than one year. Our lawyer attempted to pivot to a single parent adoption, but the judge wouldn’t allow that either.

He rescheduled our case for shortly after our one year wedding anniversary. When the time came around, the process was very uncomplicated and the judge granted the step parent adoption.

Judge Scott was kind and respectful to both me and my wife in the courtroom.

Some logistical tips: the courthouse doesn’t allow you to bring in any bags, so if you have kids, plan accordingly. Paper sacks with food were allowed. Food and drink are allowed, just not in the court room. Many wireless carrier get zero signal the second you enter the building, but there is WiFi.

Judge Scott was honorable, fair and incredibly bright.

So had court the other day regarding my granddaughter and she was allowed to go back to her mother across state lines and I did not get a chance to elaborate her therapist had to make hotline calls and the abuse my granddaughter went through with her mother. Let's add her diagnose which is Trauma stressor related disorder. She was left alone twice at night at 6 yrs old. She missed half of her kindergarten year because her mom did not put her in school. Her mom moved to Florida and I have school records of her attendance she missed a lot of school. She had several absences and tardies in first grade. There is so so much more that I was not able to talk about in court. This is not counting mom moving over 20 times between 4 different states before the age of 6. My granddaughter has told three people she is scared to go back with her mother and she knows she has a stable environment here and lots of support. The court system has failed my granddaughter. She should of had an ad litem and a slow transition. Absolutely discusted.

If I could give less than 0 stars, I would. Despicably misogynistic, unjust, and biased. Utterly incapable of using logic and rational thinking and allows for incorrigible and irrational behavior in court. Disgusting excuse of a human being; he should never have been allowed to “serve” as a judge. Needs to retire immediately. Stay as far away as possible from this narcissist.

My ex was allowed to make false accusations against me and my husband to gain an order of protection and the judge did not even care to ask me anything about his false accusations and allowed my ex to act cocky in front of everyone and the judge gave my ex an extended 90 days… now how is it that a mother who has never been in trouble and never had any kids taken away just thrown under the bus with no chance???

Judge Scott is a very condescending, arrogant, narcissistic family judge. He plays favorites with local family lawyers and if he doesn’t like you he will aggressively go after you. So glad I don’t live in Arkansas anymore or have to be in his court ever again. I pray God has mercy on his soul.

Absolutely horrible Judge.Gave my babies dad "temporary paternity " over my unborn child at 8 months pregnant because her dad had a good attorney. Absolutely traumatizing for my child and I.What a freak.

He shouldn't be a Judge, very unfair and he has been sold by many people, another corruptor Judge.

Very disrespectful to women.
