St. Bernards Gastroenterology

I went here today and this office needs way more good reviews. After reading all the bad reviews I was nervous and from the doctor and lady at the front desk everyone treated us with such respect and kindness. Doctor Greyson was so unbelievably intelligent and professional he listens to you and goes down to the minute detail of the problems. I would recommend this doctor to anyone he was very kind and very through so for the next person that’s nervous, this place gave us a great experience and they will take care of you!

This place had nothing but the nicest people I could ever wish for. I do not like hospitals and I felt so nice and well taking care of. From the nice ladies up front to all the nurses and doctors in the back. The staff was so nice to my wife and treated her like family.

I went in today, so nervous after seeing these reviews! I'm a 29 yo female and was terrified I wouldn't be taken seriously but the Dr listened to all my babbling and addressed my concerns

The staff are friendly and helpful. The doctors are very caring they actually listen to their patients.

If I could give them a negative 5 stars I would. I fully blame them for my fathers death. He Was healthy 18 months ago and passed away after being back and forth from st Bernard’s and a wonderful rehab for 6 weeks. His meld score went from a 7 to a 29 in their care for that 6 weeks. His nurse practitioner, Victoria, abandoned him with no notice or follow up from another doctor in their group. His original doctor, assigned and then again reassigned to him after I personally made several calls to them, never even saw him before he passed. He had zero care by them that any normal cirrhosis patient should have received. I wouldn’t let them even treat my gerbil if given a second chance. Especially the one named Mary Ann O’Hara. She told my mom several times that there was nothing they could do to fix his liver and that Heaven was the only cure and that was when his meld score was still a 7! She should never be allowed to work with patients or families in a crisis setting or let alone medical practice of any kind. My dad would have been seen at Memphis Le Bonheur in February and that is who I recommend for anyone moving forward.

My father had his second appt. scheduled at this facility today. Upon entering they explained only patients were able to go inside. I explained to them that he needed assistance and that I was allowed to go back with him on his previous visit. I was told I could not join him and they would not do a over the phone visit with us waiting in the vehicle ( because the doctor didn't have a phone in the room he could use was the excuse I was given). It is very evident to me at this point that they do not care about patient care (There were several elderly patients that I am sure could have used additional help) and are just herding through as many possible patients a day. Now we will have to wait for an additional referral somewhere else which I am sure will take a good while. I am sure if the doctors/nurses in this facility had family that need additional assistance they would be more compassionate and care a lot more. It really is a shame and I feel so badly for patients that are sent in alone and leave with no understanding of they're health and treatments completely overwhelmed and confused.

Extremely slow service, it's ridiculous how slow. Once you're in the back the doctor rushes like you're wasting their time. Nurses and receptionists are unfriendly and rude. They also make you fill out paperwork you've already filled out each time. Worst Healthcare service I've ever experienced

Seriously?! Ya'll are STILL making families sit out in their vehicle while their child or husband or whatever loved one is being seen?! I don't know if yall missed it but Asa Hutchison has LIFTED the restrictions, but yall "don't want" to follow as instructed by your GOVERNMENT...

My husband sat in your waiting room and watched yall tell a MOTHER that she has to leave her YOUNG DAUGHTER in the waiting room!!!

How do yall justify that???

Your receptionists AREN'T wearing masks behind the desk BUT sitting in "close proximity" to their coworker but your patients are being forced to wear their mask???!

Oh and not to mention, your receptionist trying to hand me a face mask just so I can walk back out to my car? Lol!!!!

Yall are ridiculous to say the least!

Woooow! Now a young girl is sitting in her parent's vehicle ALONE because the receptionist WILL NOT ALLOW HER TO STAY WITH HER MOTHER!!!!!

My doctor referred me to this place for a colonoscopy. Some “lady” named Tracy was rude, unprofessional, and just downright nasty to me on the phone. I told her I was NOT going to make an appointment with someone so hateful. What has happened to our healthcare? Doctors and healthcare workers work for US, not the other way around. Yet, they are more and more often demeaning and rude. I’m SICK to death of it. And St. Bernards, don’t message me that you’re concerned and want to fix the problem because the phone number and email numbers you give out don’t work. Been there done that! No thank you!

My sister was seen at this office for stomach pain and throwing up. They were able to get her in quickly for a colonscopy and endoscopy. They called her a week later to tell her that it was gastritis but her appointment was set a month out and they wouldn't call her anything in until then. She hadn't been at work for about a month and half at this point because she was so sick and is unable to go back until she isn't throwing up everyday anymore. Her primary care requested the records so that she could prescribe something and they sent everything over except the diagnosis. So her primary care was unable to treat it either. THEY MADE HER WAIT AND SUFFER FOR A MONTH. Which is completely unacceptable. She finally has her appointment the other day and all they did was increase her nexium (it was gastritis and stomach inflammation that is still ongoing) and tell her they would call in carafate as well to see if that would help. She gets to the pharmacy later and finds out they never called in the carafate. I wouldnt take any of my families members here unless you just want a runaround and continued suffering. It sounds to me like they didn't care about her but only about the money her appointment would bring which is why they refused to
send her PC Dr anything about her diagnosis.

Memphis has a great gastro clinic GastroOne. Go there. The staff at St Bernards is very unprofessional and unhelpful. They claim to schedule appointments without ever telling you when then say you missed your appointment. They didn't seem to be able to get an actual doctor in to see me when I actually was able to get in, just a nurse practitioner who didn't know what to do and sent me on my way without doing anything.
