Salem was such a rad place to visit. There were wonders all around for the eye to see. The parks are beautiful, the trees are so big and the buildings and monument statues are large and grand. We took a stroll through the Capitol and were amazed by how well kept and maintained the parks and streets were. No graffiti in sight or trash on the ground. Everything was beautiful and we cannot wait to go back. People were friendly and the kids had a blast running around the green grassy knolls.

Underground, right under the Capitol Mall courtyard. Most spots are reserved, but there are visitor meter spots. Just make sure you're out by 7pm.

You can only pay with coins, so if you'd like a trip down memory lane to 1961, it's great. Otherwise, it's the most poorly managed parking lot in Oregon.
